The "Money Talk" ruins the GFE for me

Do you still need us to confirm what we are paying you an hour if you
have made it crystal clear on your website or ad?

Your thoughts if any?

Like, "a couple of hours"...do you mean two, or eight? And if they don't mention time at all, I always get nervous that they'll string me along and then make an offer for a half hour (Eros guys...ick).

Makes it so much easier when guys just say something like, "Hi, are you available Friday afternoon between 5 and 9? I was thinking to do a dinner date or possibly the 6-hour [insert what it's called on your site here]"

When a guy is REALLY vague about how much time he wants, it usually means that he wants to PAY the least amount on my site, but have me stay longer. So I always ask, even if (especially if, sometimes...lol) it's a regular. But I'm pretty polite about it...and I'll keep the discussion confined to time rather than money.

Makes it so much more fun on BOTH sides when we can just schedule without hassle!

I'm the *worst* about asking for/negotiating $$ so I'm usually pretty shy about peeling though the bills right in front of someone. Just kind of tacky. I'm usually one to not touch "the envelope please" until I'm on my way out the door. I think it kind of sends a message. With that said - I'm able to live by that protocol due to stringent screening. I have to have a certain level of trust beforehand to trust that someone will slip the correct fee in. If it's a first timer or someone that I've only screened through work information I usually try to find a discreet moment (alone) to glance in. If you're **really** good and have been providing for a while you know what a stack of 20's feels like in denominations of 3, 4 & 500. Sometimes someone is short a twenty but I feel like they're doing that to test me somehow. I don't like it but I'm not going to call a client over being 20.00 short either.

It's one of those situations where it's like "you be cool and I'll be cool". : )

Hey DD...look at the thread below this and realize YOU don't want that trail...trust me.

Nick says you're smart...I'm really struggling with it though.  Using an online site that's not secure for screening...really?  Check your IP addy...it's really easy to do.  Let me know if you need help...I have lots of pals with Les Mis that know how to use IP addys.  Maybe HOBB knows others?

We can play monopoly and I'm the banker.  You'll be the teller that won't give me the money when I want to rob the bank.  I'll have to take you into the vault and teach you a lesson.

Look up RICO...you can google it.  Read the prior thread...or ask nick to send you the link(s).  Get up to speed on the 21st Century so you'll stay safe.  BIB still wants to see you and I don't want to read an article on you..yea, they'll have your real name too....probably pics as well  :D

Never done and never will do that crap with any hooker.

But yea...I hear that shit a lot from the asswipes who are looking for "a deal".

I always pay for what I want...now if we go for lunch afterwards...OTC and you're not obligated.  But most seem to like my wit and charm...go figure  :D

Skimming and then replying is just not good.  And his question was really a short one too  LOL

Tell me you don't ask anyone to screen on some goofy website...please.

Yea...you're too smart to get involved with that crap...but DD is still learning the ropes.  And who better to teach her than me  :D

So...you told esc to pay what she asks...but if he asks you you'll think he's a creep.  Catch-22 if you ask me  LOL

Even Jerry wouldn't be able to argue with some DA that you didn't really mean to do it.

But I know your a fella that likes discretion.

Hey...when you see DD (that's the lovely devindavette to you)...ask her to:

SHOW ME THE MONEY

Oh...and bring the Hitachi Wand I was telling you about.  She tends to masturbate a lot...and that really gets most of them off quickly..Look back at last Friday's (ooppss...she deleted that thread) thread...sorry, can't.  But she was at home masturbating instead of watching the Washington Nationals.

Above is the OP...he wants to know if he should confirm with you what he is supposed to pay.  That's the whole question.  Your reply had nothing to do with his question.  Now your second reply did...kind of.

Happens a ton with regulars. Sometimes, it's pretty innocent, I think. Other times it's more manipulative. Like, a youngish guy saying 'Come on over and let me show you my new place. I can order in if you're hungry' instead of booking a dinner date. You can see how he'd think that would just be fine and dandy. Not so fine: a regular hobbyist asking me to come over for 'a bottle of wine'...and when pressed, wants to book 1 hr. He knows EXACTLY what he's doing. Either way, I do have a 4-hr rate on my site and it's not to balance the layout...

Summarized convo w/me and a guy I saw once (who BTW asked me on a free date).

Him: are you busy this week?
Me: I can make time for a date if that's what you mean. Just let me know when, and for how long you'd like my company :)
Him: A couple hours either Mon or Tues
Me: either day is fine...just let me know which day is better, and approximate time. whenever you know your schedule
him: mon 3-5pm

He knew the deal...just wanted to see how far that 'couple hours' sh** would get him.

It used to stress me out a lot...now I'm better at dealing with it.

The deal is however that I like the 10-12 slot followed by lunch with her...and I've been doing this for three years now.  As I have stated a number of times however...I don't pay for the out and about time.  She knows the deal as well...and will only schedule when she has nothing that afternoon.

But this also works in reverse with some gals who contact the guys.  Many of "us" have gotten the "I've missed you" emails.  Of course that is a solicitation...but from my POV I didn't ask for the contact.  And in this world...I don't want to get those emails.

So when I do...I make an offer they typically have to refuse.  Some don't however...and then it's OK with me as well.  Also haven't had one bad session when those offers have come.

Yep...my idol is Howard Hughes.  I don't leave my room...ever.

Well...I guess that's not quite true.  I see hookers periodically.  And I do have to meet with clients at times...you know, to make sure they aren't putting themselves in harms way.  Well, maybe you don't know yet...hope you don't find out the hard way  :D

Did you see the Aviator?  Want to play that scene out with me?  You can be the Kate Blanchett role as Katherine Hepburn...it's before she developed Parkinsons though so no shaking.  Unless you get so worked up that you convulse from those big O's

I'm still willing to do the bank robber scene too...yammy...err, yummy  :D

so generally the ball's in my court. Or at least I say so!! But obviously that's a matter of opinion, and it's really not so easy to persuade the people who matter of that.

No matter what I say about business, work, goals, projects, etc., people always assume I have nothing much to do with my time...and don't really need my money...I think they think I go to the mall or something!

My extended dates are extremely appealingly priced, so I do a lot of them. My dinner date rate in particular is so reasonable (compared to my shorter dates) that it's kind of an insult when somebody disregards it. My only two surviving OTC relationships are relics of a past era. It's completely cool in one case, kind of a pain in the other. Not sure what circumstances would make me do it again...I'm older and not so dazzled by the prospect of a free dinner. Especially if I have a long drive home. And except for the ONE cool OTC arrangement, I haven't had the best experiences. Not knocking it at all, just stating the obvious.

The only thing I was commenting on was the 'couple of hours' thing. When he meant TWO hours. To me, it seemed like he was being deliberately vague, because he wanted me to stay longer. Other than that, it was OK.

But there's really no reason to be vague. If you know that you're available all day Monday, but prefer 3-5pm, just say that

I have never, and never will, negotiate the donation. I have already researched (read her reviews, saw her pics and know her rates) and being that I've arranged a date I've agreed to the rate for the time. However, nothing and I mean nothing will make this a one time only date quicker than upselling. If the lady wants a certain rate for a certain amount of quality time and has posted that, then that's what I donate. I don't tip either, I'm not sure if that is against protocol. I have given Birthday gifts to two of my favorites, and that equates to a tip I guess, but it was a well thought out gift based upon what I know she likes. To just lay down an extra $, no I don't do that, but I also don't bother the lady with asking for more or trying to pay less.
