I am sorry that Dan's life ended under these circumstances...  but clearly you shared more than strictly professional relationship, as I have with a very few special ladies.  Thankyou for the joy you brought into his life.

I recently found out that a gentleman I have seen for almost three years has passed away. When I didn't hear from him, I started to get concerned, it wasn't like him not to text me every week or so. When I called his phone it said his voice mail was full, so I knew something was wrong. I call the PD and they would only tell me they had a medical emergency at his address about four weeks prior. The hospital they told me he was taken to said they had no record of him being admitted there. Well, after many phone calls to various hospitals, I called his place of employment and all they would tell me is that he was no longer an employee there. That evening I went to his house and the front yard was over grown and it looked abandoned. One of his neighbors told me that he had passed away of a heart attack. He told me that one morning he noticed my clients truck still in his driveway an hour after he was usually gone at work. He said he thought he heard someone cry for help, but didn't hear anything or see anything else at that time and went back inside his house. He told me about an hour later he noticed his truck still in his driveway and he then called 911. Apparently they found him either in his back yard or back of the house, I am unclear as to what he told me, but he was still alive. He was on life support for a while, but then they took him off life support and let him go. The neighbor told me that they he barely knew him, and none of the neighbors really knew him well, but someone got a hold of one of his two sisters out of state and she came and cleared out his house and went back to where she lives. I asked the neighbor about his two little puppies that ha had gotten about 6 months prior, and he said that they went to a foster home until they could find a home for them. He really loved those puppies. My heart just breaks when I think of him laying on the ground helpless for over an hour and the trauma those puppies must have went through that tragic day, and probably ever since.

I guess my point of writing this is to remember him, and to remind myself and everyone out there that life is really precious and things can happen at any time and take it away. Yes, my relationship with Dan was on a professional basis, but that doesn't mean that I didn't care for him as a person. When I think that he basically died all alone, it makes me very sad. I just wanted to say that I will remember him with a warm heart and smile on my face.

So to Dan, if you can hear me, with much respect, like you have always shown me, I will remember you.

I'm so impressed by your devotion to a regular client and finding out what happened to him was something that went beyond what most providers would do.  But it's good you found out and this must have been devastating for you.  I guess everyone needs closure.

What a sad story. I agree with you that maybe we meet gents on a professioal basis but we do grow to care for some.  They make us smile by being fun, caring and respectful. For the special one's I care very much about them.  Yes, they are our clients but they are also my friends. The fact that you put so much effort into finding out what happen to Dan shows your care/love for him. Thanks for sharing your story.  It touched my heart. Madison

That when my time comes (hope it is a while), I hope that one of my ladies, at least one, will say "too bad, nice guy."  So I am moved to treat everyone with a little more respect, a little more gentility and courtesy, a little more generosity.  amen.

It is really nice that you cared so much about a client's welfare that you went to all that trouble.  That says a lot about you....and him.  Thanks for sharing.

I know how you feel... the same thing happened to me last summer, hadn't heard from a long time regular in awhile, so I texted him... his sister ended up calling me and explaining that he had passed away about a month ago. It's a difficult blow to deal with, as you can't really tell anyone about it, as they'll want to know how you knew him, etc, so it's a good thing that you were able to come here to express your loss. May God be with him

Take heart in knowing that you brought joy to a man who apparently had no close friends or family. It may be that some of his happiest moments were found in your arms. I'm sure he felt the same connection that you did and it likely the world to him.

Ladies with feelings such as yours define what can be good about this hobby of ours!
