I think if the women's regular lives were covered that would be revealing in itself: many of us are mothers, wives, SO to others, involved in community affairs, healers, that sort of thing. Some of us are highly sexual, some are not... but we can do the business from a very professional POV, giving good service (or not!). I think getting a wide selection of women, doing the business from their regular lives (high class escorts, sexual/spiritual healers, massage parlor workers to street hookahs). You know, give a full swing of the industry. xox Faye Desiree
What would they want to see if someone was doing a film, or documentary on them? Or would they prefer nothing presented regarding their work, lives,etc?...
I absolutely would prefer nothing be made public about netscorts. Some ladies feel the need to let the public know that we too are human and that we are not what they perceive. I however feel the opposite. The less the public knows about us, the less the threat we are too them. If they think we do drugs, have pimps and are unsophisticated then they will just think we are a bunch of hookers who will go away. BUT if they realize the great sophistication and intelligence of the net ladies then they will feel threatened by us. They will think we might come in their home (thing is we are already there, they just don't know).Every time an expose is done on netscorts the heat goes up. LE feels the need to tighten up a bit and make the public think they are doing something. More and more cities are now getting departments dedicated to internet ladies and agencies. Most cities now have an Internet dept but it also covers things like pedophilia so Internet escorts are usually on the back burner (dealing first with neighbor complaints, agencies etc).I think Internet escorts are one of the best kept secrets and think it should stay that way My kooky opinion,Kelli
Hi Kelli. Thanks for your important thoughts. Perhaps my question was not clearly stated. I did not specifically mean to focus on Netscorts, nor any specific sites,or places, nor doing any "Expose." Rather, on shedding light via positive realistic view(s) on all aspects of how wrongly the public views this profession in our country. If thoughts , laws and points of views are to be changed, there has got to be some type of light shed edifying the public. Shows such as "Women In jail"(Which has changed the way some women's prisons are run),"Wrongly Accused"(which has helped release many wrongly encarcerated) " Real Sex"(Which is one of the highest rated shows, and has increased adult awareness in many dimensions), and others have not only helped revise old laws, but have made the public aware that sex is not a dirty word. Just a point of view.
I have felt compelled to write on these boards, in part, to discuss my feelings about the stereotyping of the profession. I think it exists even among the 'enlightened ones' on these sites. (Myself included probably) I have worked in the biz for nearly 20 years and have felt isolated and without a voice many times. Every show/documentary I have seen has never captured the experience that I have lived in the biz.. or come even close. To answer your question, I would like to see the women/men in this biz/hobby represented as real people with real lives .The biz has served me well over the years. The soft side of the people( the healers, comforters, providers of fantasy and passion, counselors, friends,) and the biz are rarely presented anywhere. .. Just my feelings.. and by the way I saw your post re S.D. on the local board... keep looking. Intuitive
