if history is any indication what you seek will never come to fruition. That being said, and understood, what can any of us do to reverse the inevitable? We can simply be nice and respectful of everyone we meet regardless of Race, Sex, Religion (or lack there of), occupation, social stature... until someone gives us a reason not to. In a thread below he discussion was about being nice to a provider, my response (and happily quite a few others) was how about being nice to everyone. I was subsequently called a mangina in an attempt to insult me. I responded that if being nice and respectful of people no matter what they do for a living makes me a mangina, then I'm proud to be labeled as such. So you see that even though I was expressing what should be considered as compassion, someone was quick to try to insult me, although I consider it a compliment it wasn't meant that way from the person that said it. You'll always and forever have that mentality (as it always has) and as long as people in power have that mentality we will always try to kill each other. Think of it this way, we have laws that say we can't steal from one another or kill one another, shouldn't that be a given? There has always been and always will be envy, jealousy and insensitivity to others beliefs. Is that right? Perhaps not, but it's the unfortunate reality. If you think the sea is blue, who am I to tell you that it isn't (technically it isn't) but that is your perception and it's none of my dam business if you want to believe that. Are wars ever started because of a difference of opinion in what color the sea is? No, but seemingly just as absurd wars have always been fault over who created the earth, animals and us. And each one of these belief systems (Religions) preach peace, unless of course you don't believe in their belief system, then you are an outcast and an infidel. Well I for one am an outcast of all religions and yet I respect others rights to believe what ever they choose to.
