There have been a few posters recently that have said they are ignoring some posters here.

I could see if you are under the age of say...6.  That may be OK.

But to honestly believe that an adult (and presuming we are over the age of consent here) has to resort to that type of behavior....just astonishes me.

I guess those that resort to that behavior also have temper tantrums when they get personnel reviews as well?

I actually have fun reading some of the stupid posters. Its good entertainment..

Also ignoring someone would prevent one from seeing if there was something negative said about him/her by the poster.

Most people here know what this is...and simply have a good time and entertain themselves.

While it appears others take this to heart...and those are the ones I was speaking of!

I ignore plenty of what gets posted here but it's generally based on the topic of the thread and not a particular poster.  If I'm interested in the thread I'm usually interested in reading everyone's contributions to it...

I thought when that came out, it was the dumbest thing out. Do we really need an ignore button to ignore posters? Is it so hard to just not click on the post you want to ignore? It never made any sense to me. Plus it would make the threads kind of weird, because you have replies to non existing posts! (but if the reply quoted the poster above, then the ignored post shows up in the quote anyway.) Just stupid. I have ignored a few people (including myself) accidentally. (fat fingers on a small iphone touchscreen), but I always "unignore" when I find out.

If I really want to ignore someone, I just won't read their post. I don't need a stupid button for that.
But I usually read all posts (even the fucktards and trolls).

At first I did  .  Didn't take long to figure out posters not worth my time .
 No button needed to ignore .

It's a great way to sort threw the garbage, and not have to even see the headline of the posts. As far as here, I just peek in from time to time. Most of it is the SOS!
