I just quit a 13 year tobacco habit. Over the years I had gotten flack from my now Ex wife, my parents, some friends and my dentist. It wasn't till I decided 3 months ago that I was fed up with the addiction that I did anything about it.
I'm NOT one of those born again types running around trying to get everyone to join the "unhooked generation". I once enjoyed tobacco and I'm not going to moralize over someone else using it. Tobacco is out of my life now and not likely to return. The hobby gives me better reason for my tongue and my endurance anyway.

As a provider how many of you have giving up smoking or considering giving up smoking ? Do you find that that most of the clients smoke or not smoke ? I have noticed that some have given up smoking and were pretty to to quit the habbit.

Perhaps I'm being naive, but it absolutely stuns me that people still smoke after all we know about it's harmful effects. As an ex-smoker myself, I know how difficult it can be to quit, but one of the things that helped me quit was remembering why I started...because everybody else was doing it. Best wishes to those of you trying to quit.

I just quit about 3 months ago also. I figured with cigarettes at 4-5 dollars a pack, and smoking 10 packs a week, once a month or so I can enjoy another hour of pure pleasure ;^)

The taste of smoke on a womans mouth is a real turn off for me. If I have a choice between a smoker and a non-smoker for a dat I will always choose the non smoker. To me it is like choosing between someone who bathes and someone who chooses to be dirty. From a simple business decision it should be obvious that you do not want to turn off 50% of your clients. Use a whole lot of will power and quit because it is good for you and your business
