Studies show women want men who are more in touch emotionally - that woman does not.

Explain what women "want" from some men.  Does she want a team of men in her friend zone? She'd want certain characteristics for those  men.  The guy that gets her moist? Is he that kind of guy?

omg ...I still cry at the end of old Yeller and I have watched it dozens of times with my family and even by myself. If someone in my family or close friend has a trauma or new condition it seems normal to me to be able to express emotion (a heart thing).
Sounds to me that this guy needs to be looking to correct his choices in women unless all he wants is the 'lay there blow up doll' that he can simply get his rocks off with and a write in "Dear Abby" column to discuss his feelings about emotional response.

I have nothing in common with this girl. I do not seek tall muscular guys who make me feel safe. Height is of limited importance, and I prefer a toned physique over a muscular bodybuilder type.   Most importantly I do not look to a man to make me feel safe. I am a strong independent woman who looks after herself.

I’m a little insulted by the implication that all women would think like the girl in the article who, in my opinion, seems somewhat shallow, judgmental, and weak.

Women want men to to understand and listen women's emotions in order validate them. They do not want men to express their own emotions.

If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life
Don't pick the most attractive man to be his wife ... ???
.
So from my personal point of view,
Get a least attractive man to marry you.

EDIT: Added the same image to avoid ambiguity.

want a guy who is a "10", but for them, a "10" is a "5" with five million dollars.

Crying releases stored hormones, so there's the science of that not to mention a strong man should be able to comfortably cry in front of his partner and she should love him back to his full strength as a man. I feel like that's our job as a woman to protect and nurture the emotions of men. Their job in turn is to help us feel safe, etc.
A healthy relationship with a realized woman should be uplifting and sexy, etc etc.. IMO

when women refer to men as a monolith (y'all love to chime back with "not all men"), I would argue women hate that too. Also, I cannot explain what women want from men as I cannot speak for all women. What I can articulate is what I want in a man. And in this exact scenario, a man crying because his mother is being hospitalized wouldn't be an issue for me.

Agree. All of the men I have dated and my husband have all cried in front of me. Hell I have had clients cry in front of me.
I  do also remember when my step dad's sister died he was very upset (obviously!!) and my mom told me she thought it was a bit much because she did not think they were that close. My mom could be a cold hearted bitch at times, as this situation clearly shows. Everyone has emotions, men and women.  Everyone also has the right to express their emotions without judgement, as long as they are not hurting anyone in the process.
We also need to remember that 1% of the population are psychopaths and do not possess empathy and over 2% are on the autism spectrum so their ability to possess and express empathy can vary.

who cried in front of a whole bunch of people (or so I read). There’s about 2.4 billion people who say they love him… I’d guess about half of them are women.

Just sayin’.

You. A tall or tanned white guy with big muscles is human and have emotions too - that was his mother for God sake, that does  not mean he can't protect her when warranted. Society  predisposed image of what some should be is sometines uunattainable unrealistic, and unachievable.  I say compliment each other and make sacjfice for each other and enjoy  a long lasting relationship.

“Young women, listen to my advice, if you’re married and your husband starts to cheat on you, he’s a piece of s–t,” Martha Stewart shared in the doc’s trailer that dropped on Thursday, referencing how Andrew cheated on Martha with her ex-assistant Robyn Fairclough.
.
“Didn’t you have an affair early on?” a producer quipped.
.
“Yeah, but I don’t think Andy ever knew about that,” Stewart then admitted.
