I see this is a carry over from a discussion on the New York forum.   So my comments will repeat ...

It's probably bad PR in this biz.  However, it's very common in other markets ... airplane tickets, car sales, home sales, street vendors, etc.  What you pay depends upon timing, your dickering skills, etc.

And as I mentioned, the situation is often flipped where John's often get better performance from those charging lower rates.  Are they therefore obligated to voluntarily pay more?  Seems like they'd be happy in their luck.  Not sure how they can ethically disallow the reverse.

I can think of a couple of instances where this has actually happened and the woman busted for it for all to see.

The first time I remember it happening was with one of our very first winners of the MS TER contest, I think it was only days after her name was announced as the winner that it was revealed that Julias Little Secret was also advertising herself as Corrine AND as something called the Naked Gourmet at rates much higher than those of her JLS persona. I can only wonder how dumb and/or cheated the guys who booked her as Corrine felt after finding out they had been duped?

I guess guys truly are stupid, because somehow she managed to live it down and stayed active on these boards for years afterwards.

And then of course there is Elspeth/Audra who has an active thread about her going on right now on the NY Board, I was inclined to give her a pass at first until it was pointed out to me that not only was she advertising under two different names at two different rates, but that she was actually "talking to herself" using her two different handles in a board thread.

AAR here are my feelings on the subject, this is what this board is all about, if you are going to attempt to fool the whore mongering community, it's going to bite you in the ass. You can't fool us for long, although I will give Elspeth some credit for somehow getting away with it for a solid year.

That is why I do research before booking.  If more than one rate is advertised, quote the rate you prefer.

Beware: paying a lower rate may result in lesser performance.  We are not buying a commodity required to meet an ASTM standard.

Know before you go.

...assuming the service was equal between the two different "brands." If she was offering different services and different price points, then that would probably be something I would discover in doing my research.

I agree that attempting to dupe the client side of the equation will eventually backfire and carries the potential to ruin BOTH of her brands.

Having enough information to make an informed decision is rather like consent -- both parties need to have all the information relevant to making that decision before they consent to the appointment.

A few ladies has separate personas: a GFE/PSE one and a Dom/Submissive one.  Same lady, two personas with two separate websites, services, and price structures.
Both personas/services are known and there is no confusion nor subterfuge.

Why am I sure?  Because some providers charge me less than their published rates.  And it's a good bet they charge some other guys even less than they charge me.  Sometimes it's a grandfathering thing.  Other times it's, like a provider explained to me the other day when we were discussing her rate for an overnight (for which she has no published rate), she's going to charge guys she likes a lot less than guys she just puts up with--or she might tell them she doesn't do overnights at all.

So it happens.  The mistake is in setting up the different identities such that the different rates are out there for all the world to see.  I can see charging different rates for different service levels, eg I know providers who have a FS rate and a lower FBSM rate, and then there's the GFE vs PSE rate cards.  And traveling providers might charge more in higher-cost cities than in lower-cost cities, which is understandable.  But different provider identities with similar services but much different rates is a bad move IMO.

most businesses do that same thing, tailoring prices for a certain market so that they can rake it all in.   Remember that the next time you're in the supermarket and see the store brand at half the cost of the name brand, which brand makes the store brand's stuff on the same production line, with maybe a minor tweak or two.

Just grin and bear it.

....this would have really pissed me off. It’s really hard work to build a solid brand and I would have *assumed* this was a short cut to supplementing income whilst doing just that whilst many of us did it the long hard way (no pun intended)
Now I realise.....it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t affect my life  in any way, shape or form - all women have the same choice and some take it, some don’t - but we all have the same choices.
With regards the men, the truth is that the men who paid £600 were prepared to pay that, the ones that paid £900 were prepared to pay that. Value means different things to different people.

This comment is a fucking joke.  Let's see how prepared Camille is to pay $20 for a cup of coffee after the person in front of her pays $10 for the same item.  We'll see how "prepared" she is.

Two names with two rates is more comment that you may think, particularly in a big city with multiple agencies.  A woman can work volume at the agency and then play the "UTR independent lady" off-hours.

Regardless of what us men would like to believe (ATF chemistry), it all comes down to volume.  I suspect that after a while (a 100 men?  200 men?), for the provider - a buck becomes a buck even if it's a twenty.

... my lips are sealed.  It's only between the provider and me.  (Which is one reason I post stuff like this with my alias.)

When I do receive special consideration (reduced rate, more time OTC, off-menu play) I never mention it to others or in reviews. That's between her and me.

3 things:
1)Your comparison is flawed. If you don’t know why go away and figure it out
2) learn how to quote properly
3)Fuck off

It's her right to do so, but if I found out a provider I was seeing had a lower rate alter ego, I probably would not see her again.

No, I said it's bad PR.  Nevertheless it is common in certain industries, such as airline tickets.  Which doesn't make everyone happy, but airlines manage to make a profit.

that was out to destroy her, according to her side of the story.  I bet her stalker found out and outed her causing her more harm.  That really is some scary shit that someone is hell bent on destroying her, and why?  I feel bad for her.  It's one thing to look over your shoulder all the time wondering if you are recognized, but 2 personas?  And it didn't help her case that she talked to herself in the same post bringing her name more in a negative spot light.  I hope she recovers and finds another option.  At least lay low, regroup and hope that stalker goes away.  I would color my hair and move shop.

The fact that you defend that disgusting jackass CEO guy, paints just as bad a picture of you, as the lady you are incessantly attacking.   And under an alias no less.  Sad behavior.

I think she has every right to fix her price,to market her self on different websites with different prices. She did not committed any fraud or double tricks. If she thinks her value of service is high end she can raise her fees.I don't think thats the issue here. Its us to decide whether i should or am i willing to spend 900 or 600 on her.I remember a saying "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.”

I spent a month or so each year in Hong Kong for over 20 years. I learned early that when I met a young lady at the bar and told her (or the mamasan) I was staying at the Peninsula, Ritz Carlton, or Grand Hyatt, the very best rate I could negotiate was at least twice the price I would get if I told her I was staring at the Sheraton, Marriott, or Intercontenental. And if I said I was at the Holiday Inn or a local dive my price was even less. I quickly learned to give the right answer to the mamasan, and then the girl and I would laugh about it as we walked through the nice 5-star lobby.  (And, frankly, I think this also got me more fun as she appreciated that I was not an idiot, plus it also meant she was more likely to get a big tip.)

Is having 2 different prices structures and personas really all that much different? If one guy is happy paying $6+/hour and another guy is happy paying $3/hour... oh well, stuff happens.

You have the right to do whatever you want.  This guy had plenty of chances to tone down his vile act before he got banned.  He didn’t.  He was a one man smear machine.  You choose to side with him.  I don’t.

So good riddance. You are free to defend your “friend” all you want.  So fill yer boots.   We just have a different point of view.

1) It looked to me like that “CEO” dude is using an alias
2) Based on his disgusting, misogynistic responses, he basically was outing himself as a complete asshole
3) Guys like that deserve to be outed.

I would be a little bit upset that my research failed to catch the lower price until after I paid the higher. But if I had paid $600, it would have been because I thought her companionship was worth $600.  Next move would be to attempt a rebook at the lower price.

Now if I had dated at the $300 price point, I would be pleased with myself and savoring the thought of some uninformed newbie paying $600 for the same service.

But then the doubt would creep in.  Did $600 guy have a better time than me? Did he get GFE+/PSE while I had to settle for CBJ and limited kissing? Now I’m wondering.

Finally, the price thread in this scenario seems a bit unrealistic. If, in the Washington DC market, I saw an ad for a $300 escort who had the ability to get guys to pay $600 (same pics/same services?), I would think it was TGTBT, scam or a sting, and likely pass anyway. Seriously, a $600 date will get you a provider who is rating CONSISTENT 10/9s in looks and/or performance.  Can’t find that at the $300 point unless it’s a brand new girl who hasn’t established her market price yet.

When I was stationed in Korea with the Army, there were brothels/clubs off limits to officers, and then clubs that they officers frequented.   Prices were higher in the Officer clubs.

And if an American wanted to pay off the girl’s Club Debt so he could take her on as an exclusive mistress, that debt always seemed to rise in matching with the rank of the soldier/officer involved in the transaction.
