I would never think the former.....

A while back, one of my very favorite ladies, from Buffalo, was visiting Boston at the same time that I was going to be there. Naturally, I called and made arrangements to meet with her. Out of all the hotels in and around Boston, not only did we wind up in the same one, but we were in adjascent rooms. That made it handy for an old guy who gets lost very easily, but what are the odds??? Fortunately, we had a good laugh, and she didn't think I was a stalker.

That's pretty amazing and funny, and yes, I'm glad she didn't think you were a stalker!

Hopefully she isn't a screamer so you heard her visits!  And hopefully you left your stethoscope at home!

I've become a true believer in that philosophy.

So what you are saying is either the guy or the lady booked the room on purpose knowing in advance the other was there OR divine intervention caused it to happen to make for a smooth rendevous. I would hope you're not suggesting the former, in that case the latter means not only do you believe in Divine Intervention, but that It favors the Hobby. :)

This is an oft repeating phenomenon that I have encountered whereby incredible coincidences keep occuring.

Call is devine intervention, fate, karma, what-have-you; these's more to this world than meets the eye.

Mark Twain wrote a great essay on this once.

I had this happen in Montgomery, AL a few years ago. I called a provider and it turned out she was three rooms away.

Once is happenstance
Twice is coincidence
Thrice is enemy action
