On a recent trip and my third visit to a particular provider (thru her agency), she gave me her real name and home phone number, saying to use it anytime I was in town.  How often would you providers ever do this?

I know the home phone # of one provider that I've seen and the real name of two providers that I've seen. It's not as unusual as you might think, especially with a steady client.

It's a real YMMV and depends on each lady's comfort level.  I have several regulars.  Two have given me full names, had me over to their house socially, and I've even met their kids.  Another couple of regs have yet to tell me more than their real first names.  Don't try to force the issue - you will just spook a lady if you ask - she will tell you if/when she feels it is ok to tell you more info.

It is a sign of trust and, perhaps, devotion when a provider gives you her real name.

Some providers have given me this information after our first (day long) date; other providers I have seen for several years now and I don't think I'll ever know.

When you get to the point where you take trips with them, you will obviously find out, but otherwise, why is there a reason to know?

As the bard said:  "A rose by any other name..."

If you see an agency girl independently, it's cheaper for you and better for her to cut out the middleman.

Remember that it's perfectly legal to do this hobby with someone you know personally.

I remember one agency girl and I exchanged all kinds of real personal info because LE was outside waiting to pounce on her. (the hotel called them)  So as far as they were concerned, she was my girlfriend.

It happens quite a bit, especially if an an agency lady wants to earn a little "off the books."  That also saves the hobbyist.  This has happened several times with me, but I also have gotten some numbers from long term relationships.

when I tell funny stories about myself, i tend to tell them in third person, thus, slipping my real name. My name is the only thing that I have ever lied about !!!! It feels weird because I hate lying. So every gentlemen that I have seen or will see is going to know my real name. I can't help it!

Hobbiests or Providers?  It was directed to PROVIDERS!  Predictably, we had a handful of hobbiests who couldn't wait to jump in and offer their "Oooh, oooh, I got a provider's real name and number before, therefore I'm special" stories.  However, I will cut the above hobbiests a little slack since the question wasn't likely to get much response from the providers the way it was asked.  But don't EVEN try to say that you only answered b/c you knew that it was unlikely that a provider would answer.  And as for Bengal Boy, "Remember that it's perfectly legal to do this hobby with someone you know personally."  Well, just be sure and use that defense if you ever get busted for solicitation.  "So what if I paid her?  But, I knew her personally!"  LOL!!!  For those of us like me, WHO HAVE NO LIVES outside of these boards, it sure means a lot to see you try to enrich our existence so much.  (sniff, sniff) Thank you!

It is business or grace, you choose.

If you want to see her again, then just enjoy and stop thinking so much.

I would guess that agency girls might do this pretty often so as to get more of the cut.

I'm probably an oddity but........Stacy is my actual honest to God name. Weird huh?

I've never seen any point in making things up that probably aren't nearly as interesting as the truth, and I have found that lies (aka creative honesty)aren't nearly as easy to remember as the real thing anyways.

So what you see is what you get with me. How silly is that in a provider?? *grin*

Besides, its an ego thing. When a man gasps my name, I want it to be my name, not a false fantasy I've created :o)

my guess- he thinks he is special.

Buddy- yes when I hobbied- I knew all their real names, personal cell numbers, and several I have been to their homes (not incall)and know their children’s names and their birthdays. Even went out socially a few times with one woman. These girls were all indis too.  Some even paid me very nice compliments as well.  What do this all mean?  Probably nothing.  They are nice woman, love spending time with them- but they are also in the business to make money.  Don't let your head swell too much.  I will say this- I am still friends with most of them and they do call me to chat every so often.  So if it means anything- maybe it means you got a new friend and they trust you to some degree.

Your attitude is refreshing.  I truly respect honesty, although I know it doesn't mean a provider is better or worse than any other.

So I stick to her real name, which is very beautiful and fits her perfectly, which she only gave to me because LE was about to pounce on her.  It's legal if she's just visiting her "boyfriend".

I was stumped.

Exactly. While I'm certain that women who use their real name as a common practice are rare, I'm also certain that I can't possibly be the only one who prefers not to go to the fuss and bother of making stuff up when the truth suffices.

I have yet to come up with a good reason why using my given name is bad though. So, yeah, as the lady said to you - why not?

Trust is a 2 way street.  I honor and cherish  the trust reposed in me when a provider gives me her "private" info.  A few "regulars" likewise know my "private" info (real name, employment, etc.).  But sometimes its disconcertingly funny when, kissing her neck and DFK, murmuring hot encouragements in her ear ("don't stop!!!"), in the heat of passion, to accidently call her by her given name instead of "provider" name.  Suddenly I think: "ooops did I just cross a boundary?"...  :D

I was having a two girl session with an ATF and a friend of hers she had just met and who I was seeing for the first time.

In the midst of their banter my ATF forgot the handle her friend was using and called her "what's-your-name."  The friend got all make pretend huffy and said: "I can't believe you couldn't remember my middle name.  I've never been so offended." and we all fell over laughing.

It's a crazy business.

Two of the ladies I have seen let it slip in conversation.  The 3rd told me her name outright and I could tell the wasn't thinking when she said it.  I never used it thinking she did it by accident.  Half way through the next visit, she asked why I did just use her real name...  Go figure sometimes where the line is.  I try to always be on my guard not to say anything she would object to.
