I wasn't planning . . . .

to go there anyway.  However, I DID find a $400 one-way ticket to Rome, but I passed because it was on Aeroflot and you had to go over the Pacific and over Russia to get there.   1 stop, but 30 hours plus.  US airlines don't seem to have lowered their prices much yet.  I was hoping to snag a first class seat from LAX to Rome for less than $2500, but they are still twice that price, or more.

I never said I wanted . . . .

to go there.   I just said I was hoping to get a first class ticket for less than $2500.  Its a birthday gift for a guy I don't like very much.

try to "snag" a seat as a gift for someone else?   Just read the words, don't assume anything beyond that and you will be fine.  Lol

 
(Your Hah, hah sounds facetious.  It means you are not happy unwittingly being my straight man. Sorry.  Maybe next time resist the urge to jump in and this won't happen.  If you waited a little longer, someone else would have taken the bait.  I was actually expecting it would be one of the "serious" ladies here.   Lol)
