A reviewer have dozen or more providers listed as (10) once in a lifetime on either looks or performance? Not to flame anyone in particular but doesn't that inherently contradict the basis of the rating process?

when you see a lady - you get so wrapped up in the moment - and think "this is the best sex I've ever had... WOW!!!!"  and up to that point in your life  - maybe it is. lol!!!

then the very next day (week, month, year whatever) you find another lady who does something different - unique or downright off the charts... how do you NOT score that a 10....

a 10 is the higest score you can give... that is all I count it as...  not the once in a lifetime EVER type of recounting...

heck, let's just say for arguments sake I was asked... I would have to say the most significant sex I ever had was the time we conceived my kid....   till we conceived the second kid.... which was more significant????

I think a lot of reviewers, myself included, are guilty of "grade inflation". Just as we all think our kids are above average, the same mindset applies when we review providers. Also, if I'm gonna see a provider again, I may roundup the grade b/c I'm afraid of offending - not saying that's the right thing to do.

You've done a great service in posting a lot of reviews, selectively dishing out 10's, and not being afraid to give low marks.

Even with what seems to be pretty well-defined criteria attached to each rating number, the individuals applying the ratings are just too different to get truly consistent results. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder", "YMMV", etc. are cliches for a reason. I will admit it does seem over the top to have that many 10's.

I do believe that external influences can and do have an effect on ratings. Whether one doesn't want to offend a provider or maybe there is a quid pro quo (exchange for a white list, extra time, reduced fee, etc.). No I am not condoning but also not naive enough to think it never happens.

Your point is one of the reasons I focus as much, or more, on the actual wording of the review. This gives me a better idea of what I can expect in performance, and in appearance when combined with pics and profile. It is certainly not a perfect system.

Obviously I'm kidding but I'm actually one of the TER minority who thinks that more than one ten from any given reviewer makes sense. The best providers do give completely unique, amazing, experiences which can't really be judged against one another numerically. They're all special in their own way. A lot of these ladies work very hard for these high ratings and if a woman completely fascinates and electrifies you, I see no reason that she shouldn't be given a ten no matter how many women have done that to you before. When someone has 12 10's, that just means to me that they're not that difficult to fascinate and electrify. I just don't know whether I should feel lucky that I'm not like them or wish that I was. Seems there are good and bad things to be said for being both ways.

If someone gives a gal an 8, and the rest of his reviews are 9's and 10's; then that's not as good as a gal who gets a 7 from someone who gives out mostly 5's and 6's.

It's all relative.

"Once in a Lifetime" that I disagree with. With a 10 being the highest score a lady can get, I think that more than one lady can easily reach that level in performance simply by giving you a totally different experience. Not necessarily a better experience, just different.

On appearance, I have met some absolutely stunning women, but have yet to meet a 10. I think she would have to be Kelly LeBrock, and I haven't been able to get her to return my calls.

if properly used, can and should lead him to the best possible experiences for his preferences. I have been consistently scoring ladies in the 9s lately. Not because I'm easy to impress, but because, using TER as a tool, I have refined my selection process to the point of finding ladies that "match" me so well that the experiences have been awesome. I am really becoming spoiled.... and am not embarrassed about the high scores I've been giving - the ladies have earned each and every one. So - thank you TER.....

might be, since we have places like TER to help us narrow down our search, and we always have the desire to find that which attracts us the most, it is quite natural to not have a Bell-Curve of review scores, but rather a skewing to the right.

On a performance level, maybe when a hobbyist started all they wanted was a nice BBBJ and Mish to completion.  A lady providing that beyond his expectations (which may have been low to begin with, we don't know) could merit a 10. If a man ties the performace into the looks, maybe 'once in a lifetime' could mean once with a blonde, once with a brunette, once with a 'spinner', once with (insert a significant demographic trait to a reviewer).

I would imagine most reviewers might want to tweak their review numbers when looking back over a few years. Maybe that '10' from two years ago doesn't stand out as much, or maybe that '8' would be adjusted upwards if he hasn't come across a better situation since. Reviews are just snapshots in history.

One thing I found helpful was when I saw a reviewer that had reviewed a lady I was interested in, and had already seen someone we have in common. A quick PM and exchange of info helped me in my decision making.

We do our homework and find all these gems!

I do agree though... way too many 10's given out. Performance 10's are one thing... appearance is another.

I look at other scores by the reviewer and check those websites. I quickly get an idea of what makes a 10 a 10. I love ALL hot women... but a petite, brunette makes me melt... sometimes I see a lot of 10's and they are all DD women, blonde and some have a little weight, but they get 10's and that is what is important to those guys.

Nothing is perfect - just takes some homework and sniffing things out. PM is a good thing at times.

And I honestly don't see why. If I see a girl in January and I think she is a ten, I am going to give her a ten. I honestly don't care what little words TER puts after the "10" in their guidelines.  If I see another girl in February and she is even hotter than the one I saw in January then she gets a ten as well.

Honestly, there is entirely too much whining about the appearance scores on this board. It's all subjective and in most cases there are photos available for you to look at and draw your own conclusions.  The body of the review is far more important than the numbers.  If it were up to me you would need VIP status to see both!

TER review guidelines clearly define 10 as one in a million. If you're among the unfortunate few who hasn't even reached one million yet, you'll just have to hold off on giving 10's for performance.

As far as looks goes, if Blake Edwards could give Bo Derek a 10, we're probably being too stingy giving out 10's to providers.

I know, I know, "Beauty is in the eye ..."  But I get sick of seeing guys that rate every provider they see as a 9 or 10.  And yes, I also know that I can always discount their score if it is an aberation in the statistical body of scores for a provider.  But I definitely feel that their consistently high scores tend to skew the curve so much, that the Truly Outstanding Beauties get lost in the sea of The Truly Overrated Average.

Please!  The provider that looks like your neighbor (unless you live in Malibu and your neighbor is a model) just doesn't deserve a 10.  Have enough balls to admit that she is merely Attractive! or Hot!  How could anyone take offense at such a rating?

But you miss Greggory's point. I like very small breasts and a tiny waist. Some guys love huge Breasts and a curvy bottom. To me it is a turn off therefore one "breast guy" gives her a 10 I might make it a 6. Appearance is very subjective.

I don't pay much attention to the looks rating as each person has their individual preference & nearly any girl can be a 10 in the proper lighting (or lack of lighting)

I can understand a TER member with lots of 9-looks & 10-performance reviews IF other TER members seem to generally agree.  They have done great homework in making their choices.  Or they don't review when session is poor, which is poor manners.

What I don't understand is the opposite ... One TER member who has more than 15 reviews, but the highest performance rating is a 7.  Most are 5 & 6.  Do some people intentionally select 4,5,6 performance providers?

But then you also need to recognize that this is all objective and probably dependent on him being kind/ easy on the provider.

Let the reviewer and review (for that matter the provider) speak for herself.

I have seen so many posts over the years criticizing guys for "inflated scores" on either appearance or performance, of talking about the "once in a lifetime thing".

I posted this FOUR YEARS AGO (when I only had one 10 score...but was already being criticized for having so many 9's!) on this very same subject. I just don't understand what people's problem is with this issue.  The rules are laid out by TER.  If someone does what it takes to get a 10, why do you care if more than one person who a particular hobbyist sees meets that criteria?

Anyway, here's what I said to the guy criticizing it four years ago...

"I used to think like you.  I held fast to that definition of "Once In A Lifetime", and it came from a similar belief system.

However, as I have met more ladies in this manner, I have realized that it is as limiting to say someone is "OIAL" and then never change it, regardless of what you encounter, as it would be to be happily married, then have your spouse die, then remarry and refuse to work to try to achieve a similar level of happiness with your new spouse.

What I have come to believe is that "OIAL" is a level more than an individual, that it is a matter of achieving the best you an possibly imagine with a person, feeling the best you can possibly feel in the act you share.  There may be different reasons that someone might help you achieve this level...subtle differences that are relative to only that person.  However, it is possible that more than one person can make you feel this.  After all...we are not talking about our lifetime fulfillment as a human being here.  We are talking about rating a person's performance on a very limited scale.  

By saying that more than one person took you to your "OIAL" level, you are also saying that more than one person you met is capable to fulfilling that level for someone else as well.  This is as much as the numeric part of the reviews should really mean, and the readers should look at the text to discern if one 10 is more relative to their style than another.

In the TER system, there are really only five positive scores.  Are you going to put the entire spectrum of the positive human sexual experience in five levels...or more specifically, in four levels with only one "best"?  Not me, brudda. Admittedly, some people are so carried away by the ladies that repeated 10's would be suspect.  I myself have been accused of scoring too high more than once.  However, I have NEVER exaggerated what I felt I experienced in my scores.  If someone has the ability to experience more than one 10, and they seem sincere about it, I don't call that man a liar, or an exaggerator...I call him a lucky son of a bitch!  If I am able to have more than one 10, I will still know who I consider my favorite, but it may not have anything to do with issues that are relative to what most would experience with this prvider, and therefore won't limit me to keeping her above and beyond and depriving a woman who can provide an experience unique to her that is off the charts (i.e., "Once In A Lifetime") from the 10 I think she deserves as well.

This one to 10 scale is too crude....may I suggest a scale based on Helen of Troy...whose face launched a thousand ships....therefor a woman could be rated as "3 milli-helens" i.e. a face that would launch 3 ships....or 100 milli-hellens+ 100 ships...etc....arent I a bore ?????
