I think I would accept your passport and plane ticket... and I never accept ID in person, I always screen in advance, but in a case like that I think I would do it. Maybe also verifying by phone, wherever you are staying here... ie: calling the number and asking for you... that should do it. Swedish! What fun 
Once you get in a few doors, you'll have the references that will make everything easier for you!

Hello!
Tried to find an answer on the board but to no avail...
I certainly realize the necessity for providers to do proper screening, possibly checking references (very much the same way hobbyist can check reviews), BUT what is a Swedish newbie with (obviously) no references, no US work phone etc to do in order to pass?
I have my eyes set on a few independent ladies, said to only be seeing "select" and a limited number of clients, and perhaps I would find it easier to go through an agency building my own rep in the process?
Any input appreciated before my next visit to the US and hopefully the beginning of my very first truly satisfying hobby
