I've always used only email, dms, p411 dms to communicate.
Recently I listed my number and advised to text only until screened to weed out the time wasters.  And yet I get calls 24/7 p.us a bunch of text like..."hi" , "hey beautiful", ect. In my ads I asked for a nice introduction meaning at least a first name inquiring about booking an appt.  
since posting my number, there's a guy who keeps asking for my address to send me a holiday card the last four holidays.

Sorry, it sucks, but hobbyists are not gentleman, we're animals. That's your clientele unfortunately.

First - I email giving my information and references along with cell phone. I may suggest a day and time, but never earlier than a couple of days.

...until the day of the appointment. Then it's text or call. There are some exceptions to this but it's with ladies I've seen before or if they state in an ad or their site that call or text is preferred.  

First email is always an intro with references, and a suggested appointment time. Once the appointment is confirmed, a couple of days before, I'll text "Hi (your name), can't wait to see you on (day), (my name)" that way she has my number, I have her number in my phone, I'm reminding her of the appointment in case she forgot and I'm reconfirming on my end. Day of the appointment, I text for directions and stuff. No need for random "hi beautiful" texts. Unless you're into that kind of stuff.

For introductions I prefer e-mail; I’m better in writing and in person than over the phone.

Some don’t read and just got straight to the posted contact information.

Plus one I only use p411.. I prefer not to use txt... email or DM is fine

I give all the screening info you request and a specific day, time, and length of appointment.  

I NEVER post my phone number for this reason.  Much easier to weed through the shit in my email, TER or P411 messages than through texts.  

Once I feel confident we are talking about dates and times I give out my number. To me that's demarcation that shows this person has been vetted and screened by me.  It's best to include the handle each new conversation.  
I will block numbers of time wasters and takers. I just cull and weed all that out until I have a little pile of gold!

I use my hobby phone number to communicate info exchange at the time of appointment through a text or call.  After the session, I add contact info as a frame of reference for future communication.  Some hobbyists request text going forward for privacy reasons, by then we have had a conversation.  That being said, my number has been harvested and posted, without my knowing, on unauthorized sites which I constantly work to have removed.
  The random, short, vague and nondescript one or two word texts are ignored or redirected to my official page and request form.  This is typical Millenial acceptable conversation on the flurry of swipe left/swipe right hook up sites to bait a girl into conversation, sending pics or sexting.  
  Writing today is a discipline and an art, not an expectation.  A man who reads and writes back appropriately in whatever form the provider asks for is sexy as hell and has begun the art of foreplay.  In the dating world I’d find it incredibly disrespectful, here I take every communication as it cums (pun intended).

Honestly if she needs more she will ask.  I will add if I’m flexible with day and time in the message section. About 95% of the time I get quick response, yes or no.
I talk as much as they do.  Really not interested in a lot of talk, pretty much researched who I see.

This is the rudimentary sequence of how you should release information:  First let him submit his information for screening (I.E Providers email, website and Stage Name).  After you analyze and verify his information, then give your hobby phone to get particulars.  Always keep that private at all times.

I’ve never spoke with a fellow hobbier.
I had absolutely NO IDEA that this texting, love-emails, “hey babe” etc. etc. occurred. Damn
My guess is that these kinda guys are (A) bored, (B) wacko, (C) “get off” so-to-speak on harassing ladies, or (D) all of these

Very few P411 with TER reviews come thru my little area of paradise. Mainly I get BP girls who mostly want you to contact them by phone or text which i am not willing to do to begin with. I really just want to set up a date and time by mail to begin with and once appointment has been set I will give out my number but would really prefer to not call or text a girl until the morning of appointment. This costs me seeing girls of course and I really wish more BP only girls would at least allow e-mail contact so we can discuss things like their rates as most of the time they do noy even list them in their ads more less have any reviews.

It is really a bummer to have to go back and forth and tease out every detail. Even if you are just shooting in the dark with days and times, DO IT!! Put something in there because it tells me that  you are serious about making an appointment.  To me that's enough right there to give out my number. you may not want my number CDL, lol but you'd get it if you did that.

I can say upon the advice of another well known provider friend, by listing my number, it has increased biz.  However, the tacky text like, "hi", do not even get a response. I value those who take the time to properly introduce themselves.

I use text and email as well but get tons of text saying Hi Beautiful, Hi, What's up. No introduction just that and it usually just drives me nuts. At times I don't even bother to respond or I will respond explaining what I need and it is still an issue. I have considered taking my cell down at times but I do get some serious clients as well. It can get super frustrating at times. I feel your pain.

No.  It does not have to suck.  Many of us are gentlemen.  I always try to treat my providers with the respect they deserve as I greatly appreciate that they are sharing the most intimate experience possible with someone they don't even know or see only infrequently.  Life is too short to be a jackass.

will increase volume the downside is timewasters.  As a low volume provider, I prefer my contact form submitted and an added introduction is always nice.  I swap numbers after verification.  I like for hobbyist to call me, at his convenience the day before to confirm.  Phone call, email or text upon arriving at location.  I love it also when someone interested for a future date sends me an introduction email for precertification.  And the upside to them is they get insider updates and I can remain under the radar somewhat.

And yep I get some who can't read my no phone calls policy. And the texts oh my. Lots of time wasters so when I have time I like to mess with them. Lmao. Sometimes I see opportunity to amuse myself and I need some comic relief. Sitting in hotel rooms can be boring what can I say.

There are many gentleman such as him that treat providers respect & don't waste their time.  I was speaking in generalization, there's plenty of bad fish out there, sorry you have to run into that.

I silence my phone while sleeping so rarely do the actual phone calls affect me...

I get these, because I do publish my number.

I always draft a nice well written email to ladies first.  It's about three paragraphs talking about them and me.  I give all the needed information so they feel comfortable.  Afterward, when I'm verified I'll stick with email until I want to book an appointment.  On that day, or the day prior, I'll text because it's jus easier.  

If you dont have a P.O. Box or a safe way to receive gifts and mail without divulging your personal address the safest way is to accept e-gift cards. They can send you a virtual gift card to your email address using a e-gift card vendor. Major retailers offer this and I am sure Visa, Amex, and MasterCard have a similar option. There are tons of ways to send someone an e-holiday card. Ever hear of e-greetings?
