Outside of a free email & her web site...  Social networks are way too public & invasive.  NO, NO, NO!!

I jumped on the bandwagon of social networks briefly until I realized it was just too out there, even by my questionable standards.

Participation in heavily marketed public social networks for the purpose of keeping up with other escorts and clients is in my opinion, a ticking time bomb.  I'd be interested to know who is out there playing connect the dots among the cliques which have sprung up in the past couple of years.

I understand that this lifestyle can be deeply isolating but here are more sensible ways to befriend and communicate with one another than maintaining daily or hourly feeds like a gaggle of twelve year old girls.

We have interesting stories and they should be told...but cultivating public online fan clubs with each other on websites populated by minors where users can bounce feed to feed to feed (i.e. a viewer reading a popular music artist's feed peering at the followers can be led to a ring of escorts and clients) is short-sighted narcissism.   I've read a number of hobby-related Facebook, Myspace, Twitter etc. pages and not once have I been impressed by the complaining, ungracious and conspicuous bragging or idle gossip.

Social networks as applied to the hobby are the virtual equivalent of keeping up with the Joneses and I personally find it to be grotesque and indiscreet.

Give me a sensational anonymous escort/client blog over a feed of Twitpics of dinner and generic redundant compliments any day.
I've read a number of phenomenal blogs related to the hobby and I really appreciate any client or provider who writes a thoughtful and substantive or at the very least entertaining one.  Courtship of an inherently bias and exploitative media isn't something I'd ever support but I really appreciate people who take the time to tell their story and what this lifestyle means to them.

You won't even find me on Facebook, much less any of the other sites.

I don't want to be that easy to find, I grew up on the "other side of the tracks", and I don't really want anyone from my youth just showing up on my cyber doorstep, especially since it is a such a short step from my real doorstep. If I had wanted to keep in contact with "everybody" in my past, I would have done so.

Nothing for the hobby and the few providers that have hit my twitter account, I've said no dice. Not because I am a prude, its only because I use my account for business.  This is about sex.

I have a Yahoo! e-mail address, and have accounts at Twitter, Blogspot and Formspring.

Just wondering.....

skb,

believe it or not I've found quite a few providers (all of them independents as best I can tell) who are on Twitter and advertise where they will be and what they are doing. I found one advertising donations on there, too. Talk about risky business.

no facebook here.
too many times I read some client found a girl on facebook along with her real name and so on. It feels like cyber stalking. they can't let it go they dig and dig and next thing you know they are asking questions of should I email her in real life and so on. There seem to be those who can't just let it be. With my name and face out there as Nicole Kelly in this world of cyber space I do not need someone from that world bleeding into this one.

Not for the same reasons since I didn't grow up here but I like my privacy. When you are on these GD social networking sites, you are fish bait.

Most people don't seem to realize that these sites are put up to gather information and sell it for targeted marketing and selling advertising.

For hobby I do write a blog but it's completely of my other life. For my real life I'm on twitter, facebook, linkedin and bunch of others less known ones. My professional blog is pretty much the first result if you google my real name. Now that I have references that doesn't scare me as much since I only give my first name.
