Usually if you are walking in the area and pass SWs, you get the typical, "Wanna date?" "Want some company?" "Hey where you going?" "Can I come with you?"
In this case I walked right up to her and before she could say something, I said, "How's your new car? Did you get the insurance squared away?" She gave me a kind of shocked, bewildered look, then before I could say something else she said something like, "Oh you were at the insurance place!" I guess she recognized me. We both laughed then spent the next five minutes chatting about cars and insurance, and some other stuff. Not at all the typical SW conversation on the street. Finally I mentioned that I might be interested in spending some time with her. (which is also odd, because normally they are the ones who bring it up and push it)
Anyway, I walked with her a couple blocks to her condo hotel, and as we entered the lobby and walked to the elevator, a cop approached us and asked all kinds of questions then seperated us and asked us stuff individually. Eventually, he let us go, and said not to ever come to that hotel again. They weren't doing any arrests. Just scaring people. I think the hotel had the cops there. The hotel was running it's own scam. They rented rooms to the street ladies, then scared all the customers away so the ladies couldn't use the rooms, but the hotel already got the money for the rooms.
We walked out together and I told her even if we had another place, I was no longer in the mood after the LE scare. She said her too, but also she was pissed about paying for a room she can't even use, and now even if she was going to wirk the rest of the night, she had to try to find another room. I took her number and told her I would call her another day, but I never did, and never saw her again.
