I’m a single dad with two kids. My wife passed in 2018.

I work in sales. If I achieve the quota goal of my company or exceed it (most of the time I do), I make $2,500-$4,000 more than my bills each month.

I try to keep a budget and plan in advance for extra things like spending money on providers. A lot of times my kids will eat up a lot of the extra money for unexpected doctor or dental visits (for instance, my daughter has to have her wisdom teeth removed).

So I make a budget and set aside a certain amount for providers.

I check Tryst and see which are coming to my town. In order to keep with my budget for the upcoming month, I would like to know three to four weeks ahead of time of a provider I want to see is coming to Nashville.

I scheduled time with one lady who is coming to Nashville August 17. She advertised this in Tryst on July 18, a month ahead of time. I can budget this, no problem.

But I just noticed another provider I’ve been wanting to see is going to be in Nashville Aug. 9-11. She just advertised this on Tryst yesterday! With only a week notice, I can’t budget this at the last minute. I would really like to see her, I wish I had known a month ahead of time, not just a week ahead of time.

So if any providers read this forum, I would appreciate if you’d advertise when you’re going to be in my city a month ahead of time.

Very sorry to hear about your wife's untimely death.

I am big on planning as well.  I am a Small Business Owner, and have to meet with lot of people to market my business and build relationships.  I am very busy.. If you look at my calendar, it's lit up like Christmas Tree.. I don't have time to waste.  I don't like No Shows, or last minute cancellations..

There was a time when pre-booking would work wonderfully. It doesn't work these days. I had booked an appointment in April for July, and ended up getting schedule update from the provider totally moving her  July visit to another day. She never contacted me..  When I saw the email, I was livid with anger..  My employee asked me, if someone drained our bank account.. I said, "No... Worse.." Then she asked "Who died.." I said "No one yet.. "  Now, please excuse my dark humor, and I hope you can see the point here..

So be careful what you wish for. Just because you have scheduled something ahead of time, it doesn't mean it will come to pass.

Also,  gdaddy100 is an idiot, but mostly harmless..   He got banned from another board for his over the top theatrics, but we let him play here.. It can be entertaining, and we enjoy piñatas.

Thought you wanted providers to advertise their TIME of the MONTH.

But seriously,  if you need a month to cobble together funds you may want to rework your budget or rethink your priorities. Also, a good portion of month-out or longer ads are just fishing expeditions by providers trying to decide which city they might visit.  Light responses and they cancel the trip. You're better off researching who regularly visits your town and following them on social media rather than waiting for an ad to pop up.

as I'm sure you are aware, sometimes we don't know our schedules that far in advance. There are numerous reasons a provider may possible give "short*" notice on something ranging from:

• client reached out on "short" notice for a date and they decided to make a tour out of it
• client sponsored a tour to that city on "short" notice
• provider's IRL job just informed them that they were going to Nashville (this happened to me in corporate... a lot)
• something personal is bringing them to the city and they decide to make a tour out of it

Also, it is worth noting that Tryst's algorithm can be quite funky. My last tour to Chicago, I put the dates up 6 weeks in advance but I didn't actually show up as advertising in Chicago until 30 days out and I was on the 17th page. It wasn't until I was about 2 weeks out from the trip that the algorithm started pushing me closer and closer to the first page.

*short in the vein that it's less than a month's notice

Where did you get the impression that he has financial issues?

He does say he makes $2500-4000 more than what his bills.. Yes, he also says that he has some unexpected expenses because of his kids, but I didn't get impression that he is struggling financially.

Like Curly W, I am sorry your wife has passed away

Right Priorities= You put your responsibilities to provide for your children ahead of your own emotional and physical needs!
I admire this and you obviously are not totally addicted to this hobby!

I am a Retired Sales Rep. I draw a very adequate monthly allowance  and 25 per cent is devoted to this great hobby! This is  a higher per cent than when I was in the workforce.  I have been blessed with Good Fortune due to a Moderate inheritance, Moderate Yearly Income,  A Fierce and Disciplined Investment Strategy, and Asset Appreciation in all of the above.

Wrong Expectations.  Just Like Many Good Sales Reps are disorganized, so are Many Providers! I have known Sales Reps who had the talent to sell the Brooklyn Bridge, but if they scheduled an appointment for Monday and failed to show up before Thursday, they were not long for the industry.  I can’t tell you how many times  after a great encounter, a hooker has stated she will be back in my area in 2 weeks, when in reality it has been 2 months.  Many Hookers just are not wired to pre book that far ahead of time!

You also need to factor Long term vs Short Term.  Providers who are making a true Career Commitment to this generally exhibit better customer service skills and deeper integrity , vs a Provider who is in it a few months!  Trust me for every Long term Provider there are 10 who are doing this Short Term!  If you schedule a 1 or 2 hour encounter with a Short Term Provider, and another Hobbyist offers her 2.5$$$$ for an overnight, in many cases guess who wins out?  It’s not fair and it is bad customer relations, but that is the nature of the beast!  Sorry to ramble!

When I was a college student, I got dental care at one of the local (Boston) dental schools. There were quite a few of them and they were always eager for guinea pigs -- I mean, patients. The care was EXCELLENT. The 4th year, soon to be graduating dentist that I was assigned to was one of the best dentists I have ever had. What geographic area are you in, Nashville?
Meharry Dental School in Nashville
UT Health Science Center in Memphis
UT - Knoxville
Well, you can google to see what's within driving distance for you.
.
You can tell your daughter that she can brag to her friends that, "I [she] went to Whatever Dental School." and throw in, "... when I [she] was only x years old!"
.
One of the other replies mentioned not finding out about a schedule change until the last minute. I guess that he (and you and others) can always include a polite, "I need to schedule in advance. Thank you for scheduling with me for Day, Date, Time. [and then] IF YOUR SCHEDULE CHANGES, PLEASE LET ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SO I CAN LOOK INTO MAKING ALTERNATE ARRANGEMENTS." Or something to that effect ... even though it might have no effect at all.

I am a single Super Mamacita raising two young children solita, so I know how hard life can be & you cherish your adult fun playtime. For me I would never tour, unless my trip was already paid for by a sponsor. When I travel it’s all expenses paid. Try FMTY is better, than ordering food to be delivered. As a single Mom I can not afford to take the risk of hopefully I will get money visiting your city. Everything is booked & planned way in advance for me. I’m always ISO DILF’S…
