To say that the woman takes none of the blame for this is ludacris.  If someone told me that they would do this for me, I would look them in the face and probably laugh.

Look, what happened to the woman was bad, but it also her fault for accepting a stupid arrangement.

You are solely responsible for what happens to you, and nobody else is.

...Now this guy is one step below pond scum, but to blame him solely is just plain stupid.

After clicking on the 3 or so links to get to the posting, what I read is apparently some guy claiming to be a board admin on another site I guess was trying to get freebies.

While this is certainly your decision, I wouldn't do it, nor would I have fallen for it (if some ladies did.) I would also report him to the ladies' forums, board, etc... so others are aware.

This goes on a lot I hear, particularly with new girls, but for those worried about hurting someone's feelings and saying no and possibly dealing with a bad reputation as a result, it's all just manipulations. There is no bad press. As long as your name is on people's lips, they'll call you and you'll be busy. One guy saying unflattering things means nothing. Big deal. There will always be one jerk in the bunch but many more sweethearts to come if you pick them well.

Just be careful and take care of yourself.

Katie

Is typically not the victim's fault. I was one of the lucky ones. I tossed him out on his ear when I realized what he was up to. Here's an interesting link.-e

Being manipulated by a nefarious predator is not the victims's fault, but continuing to be victimized is. You were smart enough to toss him out immediately upon discovering his true nature. Unfortunately others were not as wise or as strong as you, and they do share a certain culpability for that.
