What have been the most memorable reassons you have encountered for cancellations, either as a hobbyist or as a provider, as the excuse-giver or the excuse taker?

Funniest? Saddest?  Least believable?  Most elaborate?  Most transparently BS? Most hastily improvised? The list can do on and on and on...

I've just given one false excuse. I recently had to cancel a tenative arrangement with my ATF. I told her I was just too busy at the office. I didn't want to tell her the real reason in an email, which was that I was doing some personal grooming down below, the day before, in preparation for our meeting, and nicked a small blood vessel and was not able to stop it from bleeding. When we did meet, I sheepishly confessed to the real reason. She seemed to take it well, but is probably wondering about me.

I've actually had to cancel twice due to giving myself a nasty cut in a place no woman ever wants to cut herself.

*note to self* Never ever ever ever ever ever shave while in a hurry!

Fortunately, in both cases, the gentleman was someone I had seen before, so they were completely understanding and when I did get together with them later, I of course endeavored to make the wait more than worth it

I have had 2 providers cancel due to snow/bad weather, and I had to cancel with another due to illness, so I take it as a two way street.  I live way out in the suburbs of Philly, and driving out here can be hit or miss.

I've had three ladies cancel on me. The first, her father was having surgery. The second one called me a week later and said that she was in the hospital. The last one actually came to my hotel, knocked on the door, and told me that she didn't like the neighborhood, and couldn't stay. That was the only one that might have been a little strange. Hey, it was her neighborhood, not mine.

My Monthly visitor came...then she posts on the board an hour later she is looking for appts.

My car broke down.  Car accident.

My (insert family member here) died.

My (insert family member here) is in the hospital.

My husband came home.

My daughter needs the incall for one of her customers.

I think I am going into labor.

Church is running long.  Yes seriously.

My flight (was cancelled, crashed, is late, is leaving early, was extended to two hours to get the co-pilot in the mile high club too)

I retired.

I got busted, could you bail me out?  I will pay you back...promise.

Can you come early, I am not sure how much longer until the cops outside come on in.

My incall (burned down, needs fumigated, is a crime scene, was towed away.)


And of course I am sure many of you have heard...

Sorry I can't see you, because Terrev just left and he has ruined me for other men!

One thing about a liar is that they usually get caught by forgetting which lie they told to whom.

I hate when you have to cancel because the airlines move your departure up a few hours... Especially when it makes you miss your ATF.

Sometimes an excuse is much kinder than the truth...

Real reasons I have cancelled:

Saw a recent post where he was blacklisted for violent behavior
Was on the fence while booking him and day of, something he said made my spidey ho sense go off
Further research revealed that though his 2 ref's had glowing reports, other girls had bad experiences
His hygene was so awful that girls had to notify me when we were discussing him (if even after a shower you stink, that's not cool.)

haven't finished my essay due tomorrow

when a client had me come in the back door around the pool to the den. Nosey nieghbors and all I crept very carefully. Now once inside I thought we could liven up a bit... turns out his GF was down the hall in bed asleep. Scandelous... ok I wasn't really thrilled about it and I admit I never would have had I known , but it was kinda fun.

I've had relatively few cancellations.
One of my two current favs canceled on me one time last year because she retired! (wow, was it something I said?)

My Co-ATF canceled on me last week because her period came a couple of days early...timing is everything! I was supposed to see her on Thursday but my car broke down 200 miles away and there was no way I was gonna make it for our appointment. We rescheduled for Friday, I booked a room and everything...Friday morning my phone rings early.."I've got a small problem" she said...lol, I think she was convinced that I thought she was blowing me off but we were both laughing too hard at the whole thing for me to be upset.

my personal life. I once hooked up with this civvie guy after a party and he was really cool except for the fact that he lived in the main house with his gf and he and I were boning in the backhouse. We fell asleep after and she came in, stole our wine, took his clothes and left a note that he's fucked and can move. I had no idea... I just thought the guy was staying in the backhouse (it was decorated and looked lived in.)
