are there providers who are actual full time students or is that more myth than reality?

Every time I'm in a college town I wonder if there are actual college girls that are willing to post ads in their local city.  Backpage is full of ads of "college girls" but I bet most of them are not.

Ladies, when you were in college did you ever advertise near where you went to school?

and then there are the strippers going through medical schools.
I've never met one either. But the girls I meet might or might not even finished High school in another country.

Right here on this site there a bunch of college educated ladies. But see I don't see them.

I don't even "work" remotely near my area and why would I? It doesn't make sense. College is just like high school - as soon as one person is suspicious within an hour most people on campus will know about you even if they don't know your name.

Plus, I'm not sure what kind of proof you're looking for. It's not like and college-aged providers are going to show you their school IDs or financial aid for back up, lol.

I attend a pretty sizable university. It'd take quite some time to get all the way through that rumor mill.

But you're totally right about the ID/financial aid stuff. If someone doesn't believe me, fine. I'm not about to expose my identity just to prove a point.

Just about everyone knows where I went to grad school and when I graduated, but very few know my real degree. That would be pretty stupid to broadcast with all the other info. that was revealed. I have never shown my face on the internet and I required full name and employment on every person I saw that was from New Orleans...to say I saw very few locals is an understatement. I priced myself out of the local market to attract visitors, and only ran into a professor once lol. I also bartered with my tutor for roughly 18 months.

I went to undergrad in Florida, and was nowhere near being a provider at that time, so no problems there. You do have to be very careful depending on what field you are in...many nurses were denied entrance into clinicals because they were busted for being strippers or escorts. In fact, we had a lady from Baton Rouge who was an RN that made the news after being busted in a sting. There goes all that hard work.

I am amazed at how many coeds and 'college cheerleaders' show their faces for escort services and just never happen to be recognized lol. Um ok

I find it odd that some providers advertise as college students, but have yet to graduate after almost 10 years in college now.  I would assume this is used as a marketing ploy.  I know 1 provider who is really in school & does not advertise what college she attends because she wants to keep her privacy.  I respect that & would not want everyone to know what school I was attending either if I decided to go back.  I saw a provider retire after she graduated only to return the same year offering huge discounts because she could not find a job in the field she had chosen, and got her degree

I know one that started at 20, now 27...STILL working on a 4 year degree. She claims to be a cheerleader for her school too, yet her face is all over the place in the very town she lives, works, and goes to school. I mean, I have nothing against bs for marketing, but at least have the common sense not to let your actions contradict your claims lol.

Not being able to get a job in a certain field...that I can agree with. I took a job from 11 pm to 7 am because I had to...not in my field. Depending what you major in, it's hard today. Executives and middle managers are not exactly quitting their jobs, so those trying to get into that arena are having to start at the bottom. Today, no one cares if you have a Master's unless you also have five years experience...tis a bitch.

providers that I am certain were students. They were going to one of the same U's I went to. Knew the profs, the curriculum/classes, buildings on campus, etc... Neither was the 18-22 yo type of student; they were both more of the "returning student in their mid-late 20"s" type of student.

I've met many providers who were undoubtedly college grads. One said she was a recent engineering grad, and trust me, she WAS. I've interviewed hundreds and hired dozens of those over the years.

But really, does it matter? Some of the most intelligent, hard-working, best people I've met were non-degreed.

Being a student, a college grad - none of this made one bit of difference in the experience I had with a provider (or anyone else, for that matter). I'd rather spend time with someone who is comfortable and confident in themselves, and OK with me as I truly am. No matter formal education, status, etc...

A few years ago...  an escort was assaulted & called the Police.  It turned out that she had worked her way through Law School & was about to take the Bar exam.  I never heard the outcome but this was in the P.  Journal News Paper.
In my eyes, she was victimized twice.  So much for trusting the Police & Legal System.

PS If she hadn't have told the Police she was a Grad Student...  they would not have had the information to leak to the press.

Let me preface this with I only read the first post. I will go back and read everything else, after I write this.

I can only speak for myself. When I was in college, I was working 2 jobs. If I would have been escorting then, I definitely wouldn't have been advertising on backpage-first of all. I don't advertise there much at all these days.

I am currently wanting to go back to school - and what is stopping me is, the fact that I advertise here. I just had a guest yesterday that is a student. And I just don't know how I would handle walking into a classroom and running into someone. I am sure the whole class would be looking at my ad by the end of the day. Especially, because I do show my face. But, doing this is the only thing that even gives me remotely the amount of time that I want to put into school. So maybe I would consider doing online classes, or doing my make up school.

I am super ambitious. I want to finish my degree and go to massage and make up school and do other degrees. So I really do need to get started now.

But - to answer the OP's question - I think a majority of the girls' that say they are in college, are just saying that. They may or may not be- but does it really even matter?

There is a big risk, in advertising you'e in school if you ARE going to school in that same area your advertising in. But then again - if you are in a University and not a community college, they are so big if you'e blurring your face you should be okay. But I think this is just another way that girls aren't genuine in their advertising and representation. But I geuss it is assumed that college girls are something that men desire. Sometimes I will say - college aged. But I don't ever lie about myself. I try to be very honest in my advertising, because I want you to see me because you like me, the real me, Because I can't pretend to be someone I'm not. Some people can.

Ok- so this was kinda just a ramble on my different thoughts on school and advertising.... now I'm gonna go read what everyone else said!
haha

I actually am pursuing a PhD, double major in Biochemistry and Pharmacology with a concentration in Molecular and Cellular Biophysics (or something like that.. yikes, it's a lot even to say). For this reason, I am based in my hometown because it's too hard to travel far from campus when I have to be there so much. I wish it were a lot sexier, but I think more than anything it ties up my schedule and makes me less flexible in this respect (but I'm still plenty flexible in all other respects! Sorry, had to sex it up a bit.. ;p).

I don't show my face in ads or advertise on BP, but I'm sure someone in my school has seen my ads and has likely connected the dots. I've also met plenty of alumni from the institution I attend (who are no problem of course). I guess I'm just rolling the dice with hopes that if anyone does recognize my body in my ads, they will be too ashamed of their own explorations (of which I find no shame but my school definitely would) to really spread the word. I know, it's definitely risky business, but that's what we're doing here. High risk, high pay-off.

Fingers crossed extra tight now that the next professor I see out of class, I haven't seen in class...

XOXO

Yup, and most techs in the medical field are NEVER out of a damn job! You know how easy it is for an LPN, or any tech to get a job regardless of where they move? Try a month. I've been looking for over a YEAR for a job in my field, and had to settle for some night shift. I have a friend who only went to school for 18 months for Ultrasound tech...23 bucks an hour right on hire day. By the time she is 26 (she is 20 now) she will be making more than most hookers make. If I could go back and start again, I would have stuck with something else. I am in the wrong part of the world for my field, but I refuse to move to freaking NYC or LA.

Dear Ms. Rayne:
Not that I want to get to political with you, but that was a reason President Obama was concentrating on that Junior college level. He was doing that because it was feasible and he knows that economically that would be more accessible to people .  Also with respect to the previous thread, that is why I was advocating ownership vs. just being an ISO. Although it was mentioned that college is a privilege, the fact remains that in this day in age it is mandatory to have a post secondary education in order to have a decent standard of living.

agree with your first assessment... there is nothing wrong with community college, but education is not education and a degree is not a degree. A degree from a prestigious University will get you a better chance of employment than one from Podunk Junior College. Of course a degree from Podunk Junior College will give you a better chance of employment than one from Bumfuck High School.

I will grant that once you've added experience to the mix, where you got your degree becomes less and less important in your advancement either internally or externally, but first you have to get that first job.

Any education is better than no education, but all education is not the same.

Any degree is better than no degree, but not all degrees are created equal and some won't even get you a job flipping burgers at McD's. When I see kids pursuing degrees that pique their passion but have no chance of providing career opportunities I just shake my head at the waste of effort and money

Ok... I'll get off my soapbox now.. except to agree the poster that admires women who put themselves through college debt free.. and to hand out a big Atta-Girl to the ones with the chutzpa to work as escorts to do that.

ot a great theory postulated for experimentation and I'll need a co-author:

Start out with a quickie warm up with citric acid cycle phosphorylation and how we can build up our ATP, concurrently performing a qualitative and quantitative assay of the post fermentation byproducts resulting from a Sacchomyces cerevisiae primary fermentation and secondary malo-lactic fermentation of a Vinis vinefra maceration.
Then a discussion on the therapeutic effects of antibiotic disruption on the NAM-NAG sub-unit of the peptidoglycan layer and the benefits of that as well as the efficacy of non-porous barriers on microbial transmission rates.
Then  s l o w l y  start reducing glucose to pyruvate and PEP, building up to some serious anaerobic activity.
More qualitative and quantitative Vinis analysis as well as intense research on the effects of testosterone, estrogen, adrenalin, and endorphin on the endocrine system and sympathetic neuromuscular stimuli from multiple endorphin cascades.
And then we conduct a review of the research while we oxidize lactate back to pyruvate.

As you know, no theory is proven unless the results can be reproduced by performing multiple experiments with the corresponding results produced.

And that's what I call DAVE'S BIG BANG THEORY!!
Whoever said science nerds weren't sexy has a serious cranial-rectal inversion process!!

I went to a top 50 school, but that in my program was #2 in the country, that helped a lot with getting a job, though it was a lot of debt. My brother got into the #9 ranking school for his program but wanted to settle for a full scholarship to a much much lower caliber school. I agreed to help him because the field is one of those where prestige is important.

I think kids these days aren't encouraged to really look at all their options, return on investment, etc. and it's a shame.

The key is to never take the easy way out. If community college is the best you can do, then pursue it, but the work is cut out for you.

I did go to a very good grad school, and it has NOT made a bit of difference in me finding a better or better paying job. I have friends who went to a state college for undergrad and are making more money than I do with a Master's degree, so have to call bs. It depends on what you major in. Sure, I 'thought' going to school where I did would matter if I stayed in the south, and it did not make a damn bit of difference.

I am not saying some online school where the degree is not worth the paper it is written on will be viewed as the same caliber, but you do not need to go to an Ivy League school if you have a damn Master's or above. Those who stop at a Bachelor's might get a better job because of the school, but any CEO will tell you that past that, they do not look at the school FIRST. They look at experience first in most cases.  As someone who worked in HR, I can assure you that is the case. Only the elitist look at things like that, and most providers are not trying to apply for jobs in such firms. If you're talking Law and Med school...sure, but an MBA is an MBA regardless.

At least they are getting off their ass instead of waiting for the world to give them a hand out...that's all I am saying. Hell, I went to a state school for undergrad which is the ONLY reason I pretty much had to go further. Had I gone to a really good prvate school for undergrad (which any finance guru will tell you is a total waste of money lol) then I would be in even more debt, and still fked.

It also depends where you live...maybe in places like LA, NYC, Chicago and such, it's more demanded, but if you live in freaking Alabama and have a 4 year degree (ROLL TIDE) no one gives a flying fk where you went to school. In fact, if you went to Bama, you're in!

Dear Ms. Rayne:
Although you elaborate in detail regarding you background, you knew that in order to attain your goals you would have to persue some type of Post Secondary Education. Although the goals have changed slightly for yourself over the years, the importance and urgency of educating yourself resonated two fold upon the birth of your daughter because now you where responsible for the welfare of another person. Due to this fact , it then became imperative that you had the resources to attain your advanced degree.  Thus I don't knock the hustle of paying particular attention to the love muscle in more ways than one.
Also because of your education,as well as the diminishing of you innocence you realized the opportunities of commerce in more ways than one. That is why you are acknowledged as a paragon for achievement for those in both the mainstream as well as the periphery. However most of us will acknowledge you because you will get out at a time in your life where you will have normalcy once again and you didn't get addicted to the revenue stream.  Thus you proved to yourself and to your peers and colleagues in the game that you can earn manage and grow a business while protecting and nuturing the welfare of your employees and others that could be effected by the business. However the fact remains that you knew that you had to matriculate as a tycoon and a student to get where you are.

when I said all degrees are not created equal and then referred to getting a degree in a field that was unemployable I was using "degree" and "major" interchangeably... my bad...

As for a MBA being a MBA, it's my turn to call BS.. a MBA as a Master's added to a Business Bachelors is quite different from a MBA as a adjunct to a Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline. I have a worthless MBA designed for non-business disciplines.. it amounts to having an associates degree in depth and difficulty. A MBA that requires graduate level work in the business discipline is a horse of another colour..

And if you read the rest of my response I did point out that your school and degree was only important in getting your first position, after that your climb up the corporate ladder is predicated on your experience and performance. Once you have 5-10 years of demonstrated productive experience the degree from Podunk Community College is just as good as the degree from a Ivy League college. As someone who HR worked for, I can assure you that is the case.

We do agree on the elitists; there are some.. and you can extend that to international organizations. In my experience, the British and Australians tend to be more anal about credentials and they often trump demonstrated productive performance.

That pretty much sums up about half of my grad school education, how to present your work to a scientific audience, meaning how to sound as esoteric and long-winded as possible.
