Of course, COVID19 has changed everything this particular year, but this question really covers going back as far as any of you know.

During the Christmas, New Year, and King's Day season, do large numbers of providers take a break from the Mattress Mambo to go visit family, such to the point that there is a noticeable drop in how many there are from which to choose?

Also, are there fewer hobbyists seeking providers during that same time period due to spending more time with family? Probably the agencies are the best monitors of whether or not there's a pattern here.

I know of at least a few providers who have said every year they take time out from providing to spend Christmas with family, usually returning to the art on the first or second week of January.

Yes I have friend and familial obligations to accommodate but only for brief 48-72 hour periods.  I love them all , love to see them  come and  after a short period i love seeing them in the rearview mirror.

I find there are a lot of lonely misplaced hearts during Thanksgiving, Xmas and New Years some home alone and some visiting and looking for an opportunity to get away, mostly NUB.  I am usually busy during these periods when I can get away from obligations or after they are completed....as busy as I want to be anyway.  So busy on the phone texting so many simultaneously on xmas eve (a few moments of privacy) that I sent the wrong text to a fav (intended for another) in reply and he became offended that he is not the "one",,,,oh well, sorry about that.  As for virus, i have always been low volume and somewhat lower now....with some interrogation about travel, working conditions (home work preferred) and type of work that may require a lot of  close personal contact (absolutely no retail, service/hospitality or medical facility)  Oh....and i have spent a lot of time here in the last few days, while trying to retreat for some private time, guess maybe I am one of those lonely hearts too.

A salubrious New Year to all

but yes, I have noticed over the years that a LOT of both hookers and mongers tend to take the holidays off so to speak.

I suppose it kind of balances out since there is a drop in both supply and demand, but yes I have noticed this trend for many years, although it's limited IMO to Christmas and New Year, "King's Day" (I am supposing you mean MLK day) is weeks after the actual holiday season and has zero effect on the sex trade that I am aware of.

I should have been more clear.

King's Day, or Three Kings Day, is January 6th every year, 12 days after Christmas. It has nothing to do with Martin Luther King, Jr.
I had not heard of it either until I was well into my 30s or 40s, so I can see how it's not well known.

Even a Heeb like me got it, though I've mainly heard of it as Three Kings Day or Epiphany. But don't bother dumbing yourself down for our official Lowest Common Denominator.
