I am surprised when providers in the their mid 30's tell me they have kids 18 years old. I am just curious if they know what their Mom does?

Funny that you bring this up. I remember one provider that I did a few over nighters with. She was constantly calling her kids early in the morning or late at night to make sure they were not fighting.

She had a problem with her daughter finding her provider shoes and clothes.

Kids should not know, their kids.  I beleive most providers that are good parents keep the little ones far away from what we do.

Do hobbyists kids know what daddy is up to?

Like any human being with a secret, providers know how to cover their tracks by spinning reasonable yarns.

They know. Mine asked me if I know a pimp.

My 3 year old son does not have a clue about his mother's job and if I can I am going to keep it that way for the rest of his life.

When my BM was in the biz our daughter used to tell people, "Mommy works at a hotel...well... actually she works at lots of hotels."

She was a housekeeper, that's our story and we're sticking to it. Hopefully by the time she's old enough to put 2+2 together her memories from that young age will be too vague to draw the obvious conclusion.

You never told us your offspring was such a perceptive and artistically inclined chap.

OP. Those boxes of condoms only work as water balloons up to age 5.

Compared to some of the stuff my offspring knows about, hobbying would look pretty tame.

I'm with you girl, this makes no sense. Aren't we all in the same boat here? Apparently not according to some. I always find that funny when hobbyist come up with questions about my folks knowing or not, like does your folks know you're in a provider's bed at the moment? What makes me any more different then a hobbyist? Man I can't read these posts it can be depressing.

Seriously ... Some posts make me wonder.

Its easier for a guy to cover his tracks to his family etc.  A child would have no idea that his father's meeting with a client was really paying a prostitute for sex.

I would imagine it being much more difficult for a prostitute who does this for a living to cover what she does for the simple reason that it consumes much more of her time.  Its a quite valid question.  A teenager may be able to deduce what a prostitute mother does for a living much more quickly than the teen's friend would figure out that daddy pays a woman for sex once a month.

...so I think the answer is, sometimes, yes.

it's a risk that we all take when in this business.  Exposure.

If they find out while I'm still working in the business, that'd be tough.  If they find out when I'm 80 or 90 (living in a "community of similar-aged men and women), I'd have already had show and tell.  Hell, I'm having my reviews put in a safe until it's time for the "coming out" party!!

Now, that will be a hoot...I'm thinking that they'll say,

"Go, Mom!" , but not for a few years.  Not now.
