i don't.

no one, provider or civilian get's that info from me. you get my first name and a no contract cell. if you are a civ and i've known you for over a month then i'll bring you home.

but none of this really matters. providers run the show, most guys do whatever they ask. supply and demand. i don't like it but it's just the way it is.

Many agencies and independents in US will ask for: first/last name, employer, position, work phone, and cell ... got a problem with all of the above except cell that is prepaid and hobby only.

Last time when going through screening for a high-end date in LA, after giving the info I asked the agency if they were going to call my work to verify - they said no. Half an hour later got a call back - got the booking, good to go. I know they didn't verify shit cause I used an alias. If they'd bother to run records search - the name doesn't even turn up on Intelius.

Now, some shit happened after the girl and I parted ways, so the agent starting buzzing me like crazy late at night - things got bad on the phone, the tone changed so much - couldn't believe I was talking to the same person. Everything got cleared the next day, but it was way more drama when needed, but fuck it, I slept well, the guy had nothing on me.

So the next day I call another place. Very high $$$$. Same screening bullshit - don't even giveout their digits till you pre-screen, so I made up more crap, put the other agency for the reference, changed my name again - got another booking. WTF!!!

So here are a few reasons why I don't like to give out full name or anything else:
* If the lady gets busted soon after, she'll testify and they know how to find you
* When agency gets busted - records are public knowledge
* If you walk away from bait and switch - they'll harass you at work and get home address/digits through Intelius
* End up like that MA businessmen getting taken for half a mil through blackmail
* Shady business - shit happens, might not be your fault, but you could still get the blame if they can find you

So how do you guys go about screening??

I like screening. It keeps me and the provider safe. If you read the board, it was a major bust, where police placed ads to set up hobbyist and pretended to be customers to set up providers. Since I do not deal with agencies anyway, I am sure that anyone who uses this board to verify, use date-check or P411 do not have these scenerios you mentioned with a indy.

first,  I've gone to an agency - and it was B&S.  I have walked...even though they have my phone and real name.  never a problem, but then again, I to some extent careful of who I use...  As to the B&S - even most of the agencies I use, have a legit "front" and maybe a word here or there on the net about their services.

Second.  I've been around enough to know that on occasion - someone with a neuron or two outta place gets into the hobby world... by providing the information, you assure the lady (agency) that you are not that person... with the otta place wiring.

Finally, it really would be easy to set up a false identity... but in the end - it would not protect you... if someone wished to blackmail ya....  if you want that level of certainty that you will have NO problems - don't hobby... end of story...

Heck, even in civie life... I've had stalkers...  not a pleasant feeling.. ever.

It sounds like You and guys like you are the second biggest reason We do screen and ask for refrences from girls indy and non cl... And so the tone tyou take sounds like you may be part to blame on the drama factor...I don't need your real name I need to know you are a true gent and not coming with metal braclets....  treat  the game with respect and the game treats you better then that...

I've just started visiting indie providers and I haven't really had any bad experiences with screening thusfar.

I saw a provider last week that asks for a work number (operator not direct line) and an extension as one of her methods.  She calls after hours just to verify that it's your voice mail and that you do work there.  She doesn't leave a message or call during businses hours.  Her other methods are TER reviews, P411, or SP references.

Another common place one in my area is providers asking to see photo ID when you arrive (or when they arrive if it's an outcall).

I don't personally have a problem with screening, these women need to protect themselves just as much as we do.  I mean that's why us hobbyists have review sites and provider blacklists right?  That's our screening method.  So why shouldn't they have theirs?  Just my 2 cents.

I got two words for you brother....Date Check.

I got started with Date Check and have never had a problem.  I don't give out anything other than the Date Check ID.  Works every time.  Save yourself some hassle. Save some space on the board to talk about sex and the hobby.  Ladies screen. Get used to it.  I would never see someone that doesn't screen.  Too many fish in the sea to get all amped up over something that is a necessary component of the community.

or baseball cards or stamps even.

Screening is for Our safety in this business to keep us safe.  Its not all about you ya know.

In the end it keeps both sides safe.

also last time I looked, your name on a list is NOT going to get you busted with LE, you need to be caught in the act!
As far as black mail goes, a "reputable" agency will not do such a thing if it ever plans on conducting business again.  After all, isn't that what it's all about?  Extortion/blackmail would not be worth the time nor effort.  These agencies make far more money than we realize and don't need to waste their time on any of us individuals.

It's part of the hobby's rules. If you like the game you have to follow the rules, like them or not.

yet you complain about the women being the potential problem.

Okay, you used two agencies and gave false information.  Simple, don't use them sgain if you know they don't verify.  However; don't mistake your poor behaviour with how many hobbyists behave or the lack of screening on the agencies part with how many independents or agencies run their business.

As for pointing fingers at those who have proven to be bad apples...you're not exactly innocent yourself.  Screening is a necessity like it or hate it; it's not going away.

Here is the trouble with giving your realminformation.  Recently where I live the police raided the agency and collected all their client information.  All names are now posted on the web as part of their report.

Remember that next time you are giving you real information.  If the agency is busted THEY WILL GIVE UP all information and once it is on the internet, it is there forever (espicially when your name is googled)

don't use an agency.  There are plenty of quality independent ladies to choose from.

Screening is part of the rules and is important for the safety of all parties involved. To which degree is debatable, but so be it.

What concerns me more here, is the fact that these agencies seemingly say they would screen, but obviously don't. What kind of picture is this painting? They seemingly are not that interested in the safety of their ladies or themselves. If they don't screen properly aren't they more prone to get busted or let some loon out on their girls. Now this would make me worry as a provider and a hobbyist and I probably would think twice of using their services.

First of all.. I am against agencies.  I wouldn't work for one because I am leary of their verification techniques plus I want to enjoy who I see.

It is not illegal to hire an escort.  It is not illegal to be an escort.  It is illegal to buy and sell sex.  If you aren't doing that you are doing nothing punishable. Socially awkward possibly but here is an idea.. use independents and actually interact with them and find out about who they are as people.

NO ONE who gives me their info is at risk and you mislead people by saying dont give out your info. in all situations.

Independents, especially ones who have been in business years and intend on BEING in business for years aren't going to black mail anyone.  That would be very dangerous since she could be hurt, killed, harrassed for what profit?  How much in one highly illegal event could compensate for the legal money we make as escorts?   Really far fetched.

Hypothetically lets say I have a handful of clients who want me to retain their names and phone numbers.  Lets also say I didn't use a method of secrecy like transposing 2 of the digits or altering a name slightly or ? and I have them in my address book along with my multitude of everyday friends some of whom are prominent and well respected.  How is that going to get anyone in trouble if I got framed in some way?...What point would it be for the police to call all my friends ..for what? to ask it they know me? Knowing me is not a crime.

I talk to people on the phone, interact via email with more than one sentence.

I do need to know the real name and I DO look at the drivers license once you arrive.  I dont' call a business.. But there are plenty of ways to check out a person.  Each is individual.

There are also many ways to 'check' me out aside from my years of reviews and my website.

I do need to know who my clients are before they come to see me.  It keeps both of us safe.  So maybe you shouldn't promote blanket statements that frighten people.
Your comments might only apply to the lowest common denominator.

and , of course, I don't want to see the men who cannot see the difference between a reputable business woman and a shady business.

>> It is not illegal to hire an escort.  It is not illegal to be an escort.

You can get detained/arrested on probable cause - and it becomes a record that anybody can access for nominal fee when doing background check - try explaining it to wife/family/employer. For those who work in government/defense - the consequence are HUGE even if there was no conviction.

If girl gets busted - she could turn those guys in, in exchange for a reduced sentence, and prosecutor will use her testimony. Happened in Tampa. Or they can asked the guys on the list to testify as witness - so now the name is in court proceedings

What's a problem with giving an alias anyway?? How does me giving out my real name makes anybody safer?

The justice system does not really seem to be interested in getting the 'men' sentenced and in jail.  I think their main target is the women and getting them off the street. I'm pretty sure it's the bigger fish they are after, such as agencies.

Where is your 'Tampa' proof?

ladies safety is at great risk.
If this Joe Schmoo can get a date with fake information, imagine what a serial killer can do.

BTW:  Sounds like you did something good/bad or ugly to get the provider upset and start all that trouble with agency #1 in the first place. I hope they learn their lesson from your example. You claim it was settled up the next day, so I'm guessing it was a shortage in payment or a rip off 'attempt' on your behalf.

I feel bad for the girl.

The agent wakes me up, like an hour after the appointment and tells me he's coming over and I better have his cut. I'm like WHAT!

The guy thinks that the girl is still with me and I only paid for an hour, so now he is coming over to charge me extra. I tell him I only had an hour - the girl's gone - he tells me she better be gone cause he'll be at the place in 15 minutes. After a few minutes of back and forth he hangs up. Next morning he calls me back and says what you do to my girl - can't get a hold of her. I got other shit to worry about so hang up. He keeps buzzing. By noon we finaly clear it with the girl - So she forgot to call back the agency to clear after my appointment and turned off her cell for the night...

So it all cleared in the end, but the nature of the business is shady, can't we agree on that?

It's been a while since I've been screened but my approach has always been the same.  I give the lady or the agency whatever she is asking for.  If I am uncomfortable with giving them all that they want then I simply move on.

Everyone on both sides of the hobby has to have their own comfort level with screening. As a customer you simply need to understand that there are ladies who will see you and ladies who will not based mostly on how much information you are willing to provide.

Use verification services. It limits the number of people who have access to your info. They claim to dispose of the info after they verify you. In any case, all the lady will know is your verification name and cell number. If you use RS2K, P411, Date Check, they are not likely to try and blackmail you.

or, you can just stick with ladies you know. I get the impression you like to play the field, so why not stick with well reviewed independent ladies here. They are less likely to have any of the problems mentioned.

Verification services are big targets in themselves. FBI is now conduction country-wide crack down - good chance they'll get those services to cooperate, if they are US based.

Does anybody know where RS2K, P411 and Date Check are operating from and who their owners are?

Verification services say that they destroy all personal info after verification, but why would they - just save it for use in plea bargain with the feds. So now the feds know who you are and who you've been with - when and where. So prosecution will either get one of those girls to testify against you or ask you to testify as a witness - mandatory court appearance, bad news either way.

The precedence is that in 2002 both - TBD and TER (both US based) were subpoenaed during Tampa bust and turned over all the data from their servers that they were asked to provide. That information was used in building prosecution case. Google to get more info - it's easy to find.

So ye, it's a liability. Everybody on this forum says - be safe, but giving personal info is NOT. Using alias is. Why all the fuss.

I am quite disappointed that you would lie and give false information. As was stated by others earlier, I too ask for legal name and city/state you reside in.  Why??? because I want to make sure you are who you are AND I will look at your id.  Once I found out when a guy showed up he lied to me..well he almost got kicked out at that point..I was beyond pissed....

As far as employment, there are different ways to check this out depending on your situation.  Is your information on a company website??? I agree and have called work after hours to go to a voice mail.  I have also called, spoken to a receptionist and come up with a cover story so that I can speak to you directly..It is being discreet and helps us stay safe..

I also agree that I would NEVER blackmail or even think about doing that for the life of me.  I have been around for over a year now and have a great reputation.  What you read is who I am and if you can't trust me then I say "move on"...

I also agree that you created drama for yourself.  Think about all this. If you don't want to get screened then don't hobby...I sure don't want the aggravation and believe me us girls get it all the time of guys who don't want to give us their information..Quite frankly, it's a huge waste of my time..

Here is another point....ALL girls screen differently.  If you don't like how one girl screens, instead of berating her (oh I just had this happen to me), just move on....I look out for me and make my own rules...that is why I am independent...

After this rant, let's see how many dates he gets. LOL

I think most ladies value their safety and Larry the MeatHead here, is going to find himself either

A. in a sting with one of his favorite agencies as a front
B. Having serious romantic evenings with Miss Rosy Palm

LE goes for the low hanging fruit.
Its more difficult to catch a Lady who screens and when there are so many who don't thats the easy target.
They do not want to work too hard.

only see independents and I have never had any trouble whatsoever. I deal directly with the ladies who have I have found to be very honest professionals. I don't deal with agencies simply because I don't trust the people who operate agencies. The one exception is Mexico. I spend most of the winter at my home in Cabo San Lucas where there are a half dozen very reputable agencies.

It is easier to obtain a phony driver's license than it is to get a legitimate one so I don't know how much good checking an ID would do.  As far as an employment check goes: Large stores like Home Depot have the names and photos of the various department managers displayed for the public to see. A person could use the name of one of the managers. If the agency called the store the store would confirm the "department manager" worked there so what good would an employment check do?

If someone used a well established TER handle with references; gave you a place of employment that could be verified and had a driver's license with the name they gave you; how could you tell they were a fraud? Would you require their fingerprints or a DNA sample?

For all I know YOU are a flippin' cop.  Why would I tell you exactly what I would do with that information?

BTW, if you gave me that info and I found it false, I would report your ass from heaven and earth and back again as a potential cop.  I don't take game players lightly.

It's better to stick with ladies that don't screen rather than trying to fake your way in.

.02

Why are you so defensive and take everything so personally?  This is a discussion board for the exchange of information and ideas.  You can actually learn from reading some of these posts.  Just because you don't agree with or don't like something don't shoot the messenger.

BTW if I were a cop why would I be divulging the tricks of the trade?  I missed you reasoning on that one all together.

I have been a TER VIP member since 2002.  I have 53 reviews and lots of references from well established provider so there is no reason for me to use a phony ID or anything fraudulent information. I only brought up this information to emphasize how fallible screening can be.  You also very quick to black list someone who you don't agree with.  You accuse me of being a cop because I am trying to provide information for everyone's benefit.  Don't you think it's a quantum leap from discussing possible ways to circumvent screening in the third person to being a cop.  I think you are too paranoid and quick tempered and should either seek help or find a less stressful profession.  What ever the future hold for you I wish you all the best.

Balboa,

I'm not sure why you thought I was taking it personally and don't understand why you are so defensive (as you accuse me of being lol!)  I'm careful, not paranoid, and I'm very easy going so I'm not sure how you have determined that I am "quick tempered."

All I was saying is that ANYone who tries to play games with my screening and I find out that they are lying is noted as either LE or a troublemaker.  I don't care which is the case, it is someone to avoid at all costs, and I make sure that other ladies know.

My post was not a reflection or suspicion of you personally.  I'm sorry you read it that way.

I do not read her post as seriously accusing you or anyone else of being a cop. Her point is simply that no one knows who any of the posters on TER actually may be.

And long term membership and participation on TER while tending to validate a poster is no more a guarantee of safety than is the lady's screening, which you correctly point out can be easily defeated by serious bad guys or LE. LE is more than willing to create false identities and go undercover for long periods of time when they really want to get someone. Unlikely they would do so simply to trap a provider but not impossible.

she has little regard for her own safety, let alone mine. I will not see a lady if she doesn't do some sort of screening, be it through references or verification sites.

Agencies have different risks than Indy's do.  If they get in trouble the charges are often of  a very different level than Indy.  There isn't nearly the benefit in looking any further into an indy's past activities.  Ignorance is everywhere and amongst all of us....

EXACTLY why we ladies MUST verify !!!

Using a bogus name/reference/employer etc
sets the stage for problems ... PERIOD!

You obviously can NOT be trusted!

Just my humble opinion ...

Just don't hobby. Simple as that.  This will avoid all of your issues, that you have with screening. This will probably make most of the ladies happy, in the long run, too lol

If you are unwilling to provide the information that is standard verification and are obviously so comfortable with deception I can offer you a simple solution.  Every city I have been to has at least one street where you can find a variety of women that require no references and you can use any alias you like.  Perhaps you are setting your sights too high if this is the game you want to play.

I have seen numerous references over the past couple years since I started hobbying of providers demanding employment info and personal info when screening.  I can only speak for myself, but I have NEVER ONCE encountered a provider who needed more than a couple good references from some fellow providers.  They just needed to know that I was a safe, legit customer.  That is also all the info I would feel comfortable giving. What contribution to a safe, successful session between provider and hobbyist would your bosses' phone number be? He still could be violent, he could still be working with LE, he could still present all the dangers of an unscreened john.  No way, man

no one, provider or civilian get's that info from me. you get my first name and a no contract cell. if you are a civ and i've known you for over a month then i'll bring you home.
