I know that many of you have posted messages since last night that haven't shown up on the L. A. Board.  We'll get this working, yet!  Thank you for your patience.Girl Next Door

I just tried to respond to a post on the LA Board and it told me that it might take up to 24 hours to be approved.  It will take much of the fun out of the boards (exchanges will get very very slow) if everyone (including VIP members) has to wait to see their posts appear.

I hope this is a temporary situation, because if every post is going to be delayed by many hours before posting, it is no longer a discussion board, it's just a static bulletin board.  I've been waiting for over two hours to edit a post that hasn't even made it to the LA board yet.  No fun if you can't communicate in something close to real time.  We all are willing to be patient during the transition, but the response to my email made it sound like all posts will be moderated- a process which seems to take many hours and ruins the spontanaeity and flow of the board.  --modified by G2 at Thu, May 24, 2001, 18:35:35

To Staff - your old system was perfectly OK. If it's not broke, don't fix it! It's not necessary to do "Microsoft" type upgrades.

GND,When I try and post on the LA Board, and hit the Submit button, I get a error response "Can't Find Page".What's up?Luv,G.

We will not moderate al the messages that flow through the boards. Your status will quickly be upgraded to Unmoderated after you post your first message or two. The system set everyone to moderated and we are working to get everyone who actively posts udgraded.

I have the same problem as Gandalf when I try to Edit a message and hit Submit. I get "page cannot be displayed. HTTP 500 - Internal server error"Has anyone been able to Edit their posting on the LA Board?--modified by mojo at Fri, May 25, 2001, 08:36:01

Just want to thank GND and the Staff for their upgrades of the features in the discussion board.  I like being able to email ppl within the discussion board instead of having to go out and then into my mailbox before emailing them.  Also having an alias is nice.  I am just quite happy about the new updates.  Thanks for job well done in my view!  

Being a Computer Geek, I find the transition made here from one database driven Board to a completely different platform, was handled as well as I have ever seen! Congratulations on your successful roll out and implementation! Now how much do I have to pay you guys for your methods that brought you such a smooth transistion? Seriously! It's a fact, I am willing to pay, and that is my opinion, and DateAMan knows Computers!
