Wrote a scolding profile to the cheap-o's, but congratulated the guys who aren't cheap lol.

Figured since I'm sailing out my subscription, what the hell? I raise hell here, why not there? LOL

If it's not P4P, why should the guy always pay?  It's not 1950 anymore.  Women can work outside the home now.

Otherwise it was dutch so I didn't feel like I owed him anything.

If he paid, I'd pay for drinks afterwards, or dessert.

You know what , its nice .
Personally I like little gestures , could be a card or a small gift . But it is nice when someone reciprocates back . Movie tickets . And yes when the lady offers to give me her passion the bills on me and the dessert on her xoxoxo.

On first dates now, I always go Dutch, otherwise expectations get screwed up.  After that, I'm happy to pay sometimes, but not always.  And I find most women actually want to pay at least their own way most of the time.

Who asked who out...

If I asked a guy out, I'd pay. If he asked me out, he'd pay. Or she'd pay, if it was a lady asking me out. In fact, I got that whole idea from my Sapphic dating adventures...seems fair for the straights and the gays!, and everyone in between :D

The lady may say its ok, but in her mind she thinks you are a putz, and she'd be right.

There is the chivalry thing. I get that. But...has been said, this is not 1950. Not even 1990. Many women (perhaps even yourself) make as much $ (if not more) than any guy they're on a date with.

What that old fashioned chivalry really translates to when a guy is paying for everything is usually (often? always?) interpreted, by men, (women as well?) as 'paying ahead' for sex they expect to get. If that's your interpretation as well, great.

OTOH, if you're looking to level that assumption, going dutch on a date is not a bad start. Just sayin'

Will you stop it already , you were putty in my arms . But calling me CPA ? Kinda ruined it for me !

The man should pay for dinner, it's a nice gesture if the woman says "well let me get the tip then". While it's not 1950 anymore and a lot of women make very good money, I look at it this way, every woman I'be ever been on a date with has spent considerably more than I have to prepare for the date, both makeup and time. So I think I should pay for the date, but again if she wants to leave the tip o pay the parking I think that's a nice gesture. All of this comes from a man that will never go on another civie date again. The women in here give me everything I need with no bullshit and no stupid games to play. Besides now that I've had the taste of these beautiful young women why would I want to go back to the kind of women that I could attract and not be guaranteed to get laid. Hell no, ain't no upside to that equation

Geez, it's like drama land out here.  I guess I'm too old or something, but on a first date, I'll pick up the lot.  Even the cover for the swinger's club.

I'm glad you bitched them out.  Nothing wrong to ask a guy to act like a gentleman.  And if they only knew what they were missing...  It would be a dream to find a civvie with pro skills.  Or a civvie who is actually an undercover pro.

I always pay. Never really even considered doing anything different. I agree with the person who said women spend way more than us just to prepare for the date. I appreciate the effort. If the women really insisted on going dutch OK. But any guy who suggests it shouldn't expect a second date. (Though perhaps that might be your motivation.)

Huh?? Who gets far enough to complain about not getting paid? no offense but if u complain about payment that means you didnt follow protocol and got to the end and got no payment. Well, i hope you learned from it and you follow the protocol next time.
