Is there a consistent definition for $$$$ with regards to rates?  For example, if a provider emails, literally,...
    1 hour  = $$$
    2 hours = $$$$$
...what does this mean?

that means $300 for one hour and $500 for 2 or $$.50 means $250

But on some discussion boards and some reviews, dollar amounts get edited out. I usual write 2 or 3, or 200 and 300 and in context, I feel the reader knows what I'm talking about.
