Jacking regularly helps of course but if it's been quite awhile out of the saddle it takes me a lot longer to get off, the opposite of what I would expect. Best analogy I can think is getting really over tired, my head hits the pillow and bam! insomnia. There is a payoff though - I don't often get to round 2 when it happens because it takes so long to finish round 1, but the orgasm is mindblowing and seems to go on for several minutes.
