I was not aware of TER when I began "hobbying" (heck, I didn't even know it was called hobbying until I found this place), so to tell the truth, I floundered around on my own in a lot of trial-and-error experiences. Lots of trials, lots of errors. Plenty of successes, too, so I can't just complain. However, I wonder how much better my hobbying would have been if I had had TER as my point man from the beginning.

I moved from being a non-VIP just reading a LOT of reviews to VIP reading a LOT more detailed reviews to submitting my own reviews. Little by little, I expand my horizons as I explore more of what that website has to offer as a whole, such as these Discussion Boards. I branch out and take part along with the rest of you.

My hobbying activities take place in a kind of niche category, and I think a large percentage of its providers go unreviewed on here, mainly because of two things; there are so many providers plying their trade in the geographical location, and due to the hobbyists who see them not knowing about TER (just like I was). It's also possible that those who do know about TER don't have interest in either reading or writing reviews. I have "gone to town" writing reviews, I'm planning to do more, and in fact, I'm preparing one this week.

All but two of the dozen+ provider reviews I've submitted were first-timers on this website. Some of the providers I have seen again since the review appeared here, others I have not seen. Additionally, there are still other providers who I have seen but not reviewed, seen and might not review, or seen and definitely plan to review, time permitting. I have never mentioned TER to any providers except the one who already had a LOT of reviews prior to me seeing her, and in fact, her reviews convinced me to book with her. At the end of our session together, I disclosed to her that I had originally found out about her due to TER. She nodded and smiled a little, even acknowledged that she knew about TER and that she had "some" reviews here, but it didn't seem like any big deal to her. "SOME reviews?" I reacted. There are more than two dozen, and they're 95% positive, I told her. Once again, she didn't seem moved, just kind of shrugged. I asked her if she had read any of them, she floored me when she answered that she has not. Flabbergasted, I let her know that she's spoken of very, very highly by the hobbyists who have written of her.

After my date with her, I submitted a review, I added to the positivity that she normally and very much deservedly receives from hobbyists. Since then, I've seen other providers and submitted reviews of at least a couple of them. It occurred to me that not all providers know about TER, of those who do, not all follow it closely. It makes me wonder if I should be asking providers' permission or asking if they want to be reviewed, especially if they don't know about TER, especially if my review will be their first one. In my mind, it increases a provider's advertising reach, it's free advertising, it's word of mouth, etc. Of course, that's when the reviews are positive. A so-so review or a decidedly negative review can sink her ship, but at the same time, the purpose of reviewing is to inform others either good or bad of what happened with a provider.

In addition to asking permission or informing a provider of an upcoming review, what about discussing a provider's existing review(s) when making the arrangements to  book with her or when arriving for the date. I've never done it so far, so I wonder if other hobbyists do.

Lastly, has any hobbyist had a provider initiate conversation about TER, about her reviews, about reviews on general, etc.? Providers, what is your input on this topic?

Not all reviews are good. Such negative reviews are important warnings to fellow mongers to avoid a bad experience. That's actually why TER was founded. So what if you ask permission and she says "no?" Are you not going to review her? Don't be silly.
And, yes, I've talked to lots of girls about their reviews. But the game has changed with the decline of TER and the review culture post SESTA/FOSTA and the rise of Twitter. And if you talk to one of the Twitter girls about being a reviewer here, a fair number of them won't see you. So better to keep the whole thing mum.

Is usually that if it's a good/great review and you are the first to review her, you might ask her opinion about doing so. If she doesn't want you singing her praises for whatever reason of her own she might have, it's only respectful to honor her wishes, especially if you want to see her again.

Now OTOH if the review you plan on writing is a  bad or mediocre review that you plan on writing for the good of the community, than she doesn't get or deserve a say so in the matter.

Some guys will argue that you NEVER need permission to write a review, but there really are providers, good/great ones in fact that don't like the very idea of reviews and if you really do like the girl and enjoyed your time with her, why be a dick and ignore her wishes?

You’re anon here. No harm in letting us know what under reviewed category it is that you’re dabbling in.

Are far as discussing your reviews with the provider, follow GaG’s advice and make sure she’s cool with reviews in general before sharing yours with her.

I suspect that if many guys could do it over again they would read reviews on TER, write reviews on TER, and never mention to any of the ladies that they either saw them on TER or wrote a review on them.  That way you could write honest reviews and not have to be concerned one iota about those reviews either being used against you in some way or being considered in screening.  The alternative is to become one of those TER guys that write 10/9 love letter reviews on TER ladies every time they see them.

First, asking permissions. You don't need permission but keep in mind some providers do have no review policies and some have those clearly stated on their web sites. At least check to see if that is the case. TER should reject your review if they have a no review policy stated.

Regarding the permission, if you were to write a good review that would be helpful to the provider, and to mongers/hobbiest here but if she doesn't want that why not respect it. On the other hand, if the session was really bad or worse, like a rip-off or really bad bait and switch, then warning others off is part of what TER is all about. She should not be able to over rule your choice there.

Last, since you seem to saying you're somewhat new here, be careful in your discussions with the provider -- and you own intents -- as asking, being offered, receiving (I think even discussing to be honest but would need to read the guidelines again) are all grounds for punishment to banning on TER.

I think the only other point for the first review to keep in mind is all the information you put in the profile -- make if accurate and not just a copy-paste from an add or what the provider says. Use your best judgement on the details about age and physical characteristics and stick to the facts of session regarding services.

I discovered TER just by chance and I now use it to save me time and aggravation. Just like anything else you invest time or $ on, you do some research in order to eliminate surprises. This is how i use it.  I am just into the hobby casually, if it's every few months I want to ensure a reasonably reliable experience, whether that's a 10 or a 7, it's all good.

Previously just winging it and grabbing the bar chicks was always a gamble, some super smoke shows and others were an utter disaster or rip off.

As for the ladies...Don't tell and don't ask, it's like a yelp review, it has value but you're not informing your server or bartender you blasting out a yelp after your done.

As for the"No Review Policy" some woman have, that's a deal breaker for me.  I have personally found out why they don't want reviews. It's easy to figure why.

Back in the day,  like some of you have mentioned about just tripping across TER.

I started as a voyeur on this site. Never thought about joining. Then it started to grow on me and as it did it started to become “kinda” my to go to hobby site. Filled me with information. Filled me with knowledge. Filled me with new ideas. All meaning this site was my hobby bible. If you weren’t on here you didn’t exist and that still holds true to today. I still don’t dive in if you don’t have some kinda chatter about you. Old or new. But, some kinda chatter.

With that being said, reason I don’t have reviews though I’ve been out here for many years. First of all, I’m not a kiss and teller person. But mainly!!!!  I did TWICE in the past try to post reviews because I did want to go to the other side and review a lady or two...  With that being said, I would write a review (this happened twice) and It would get denied because it wasn’t graphic enough. Then I would rewrite it and denied again. This would happen over and over as finally I realized I couldn’t write the way they wanted me to so I just bought the membership and would just comment on the message boards.

Nowadays, I just see three or four lines in the “VIP” area and think.... How did this get excepted? This is brutally short and I GOT DENIED???

That’s why I just pay the membership and if I see someone reaching out about a lady than I’d rather just PM.

I DONT kiss and tell and evidently I’m not a good porn writer..

That’s my .02 on this subject.

In the good old days, a good review had lots of acronyms.  DFK,BBBJ BBJTCCIM showed you had a good time and the girl was worth the fare.  FOSTA made web forums liable for sex trafficking based on those acronyms which is why TER reviews were shut down.

Today's reviews need to be less acronyms and more politically correct.  You need to say either you had a good time or the girl was a dud, without any explicit details.

For example I might say I had a happy ending and the girl did not spit.  An experienced hobbyist should be able to figure out what that means.

Just my opinion. It's really difficult to be 100% objective when there's a real person on the receiving end of a review, now compound that with her KNOWING you wrote it. "What, I'm not a 9 or 10 and she is ????"
That said, I have had "well reviewed" providers ask for a review, I assume to boost their Top 100 rank...A very few I've seen again, but most were one-and-done.
I've given a number of "first reviews" too. I think the only provider that I told, was one that was planning to leave the business soon anyway.

Regarding discussing her other reviews, I NEVER.  And if a provider starts talking about reviews or other clients it's a total turn-off. Can you say tacky? the session is supposed to be about you. Trust her ad and/or profile or stay home. I guess if it's a fetish to hear details of her reviews that's another story, but it's certainly not for me.

I often get asked for reviews, but I just tell them I don't have time to write reviews.  In addition, I don't review indies because their lower volume makes it too easy for them to identify me as CDL from the details in my reviews. (I do have a couple of reviews up of Asian indies, but the rest are Kgirls).  I never give my CDL username to girls or bookers, and I usually wait two to three weeks after the session to post the reviews.  So far, I have no problems from anyone with what is in my reviews since I stopped reviewing indies in 2013.

The standards for approving a review seem to be much lower than previously. Then again this is hardly a normal year and new management and the come back from the long downtime. Maybe just part of "don't be mean to your customers/suppliers" if you want to grow or something.

Thank you, inicky46. Being sort of new here, in still learning the ropes, and sometimes learning the hard way. For some strange reason, my intended title for this thread got its first word cut off.  It should read, "Is there . . . "

The niche is that I live just north of the US/Mexico border, so I go there to carry out my missions. Based on the exhaustive number of reviews I've read here, a site that shows worldwide experiences, there are some providers who have dozens of reviews each, but not the ones in the particular part of Mexico where I go.

They're frightingly low. Just after they changed the free days for a review from 30 to 15, I see a big uptick in generic reviews.

This policy of giving free days for reviews is good as long as people write honest real reivews. Unfortunately, it incentivizes fakes too much.

It's always been 15 days.  A new member has to write two reviews to become a VIP member.  He gets 30 days for those first two reviews and then 15 days for each one thereafter.

I’ve never asked for permission but every single woman I’ve seen has had a TER profile at some point.

If a provider asks for TER board handle when booking, I’ll provide it or if there’s a “how did you find me” question on her booking form, I’ll mention TER but I’m not going to go out of my way to mention TER or her reviews.

I’ve never brought up TER during a date. It’s come up a couple of times in conversation though. Last new person I saw mentioned that she didn’t like TER. I thought to myself that was kind of weird since I found her on here and she had good reviews. I didn’t dive too much into that topic with her though.

I think they've increased it to 30 days during covid? I was getting 30 days for each of my reviews until recently.

Thank you, sdottaylor.
As for the woman in your last three sentences, I wonder if her reviews spanned a long period of time, which might explain a little bit about why she said she doesn't like TER, even though she has positive reviews. For example, her reviews from months ago or years ago combined give a progressive picture of her, yet it's the scoring or ratings system that she dislikes. I don't know.

after TER came back online in December, they were allowing reviewers to go back up to six months to write reviews rather than the standard three months, and they were giving 30 days of VIP for each review instead of 15.  Whoever gave you your headline doesn't know their ass from a whole in the ground when it comes to reviews.  Oh, wait, I see who it is.  No wonder.  He doesn't know much about reviews.

you do not need permission to review her.  Yes, it's nice when clients ask me if I want a review.  I feel like I have so many, what new can they offer up about me?  We got used to not getting reviews while TER was shut down.  A lot of providers felt "free".  But TER has always been good to me.  So if it's important to the client, then by all means go right ahead :)

On this point, what good does another review do ... it lets potential clients know you are still active and still performing at peak. Some providers don't have recent reviews and it raises questions if they are still active.

Here is my take, I've had 2 ladies come after me after 2 average reviews (prob 10 years ago now)

1st lady was upset that I gave her a 6 in the looks dept and explained why in my review.  Face, messed up teeth etc etc.
She complained and got the review removed.  After emailing me and threatening me, I didn't respond.  TER took it down.
2nd lady - wrote me a nasty email b/c I gave her a 6 or a 7 and said she looked older than she advertised.  I didn't respond.

I don't know about you, but I don't need these ladies calling my phone or spamming my email.  I stopped writing reviews because if it.

I would now write a review if the lady asked me to and if I felt the experience was positive.
This is one of the reasons I seek out dates w/ higher end ladies.  I find that there is less drama

I thinks this is a great site to get info for potential dates.  I just don't want it affecting my personal life.
Be careful

I get where you're coming from, but that kind of defeats the entire purpose of the review premise...
Just means that the dishonest provider gets a pass to deceive the next poor slob.
But....half the reviews being posted are either exaggerated or shills, so wtf!
Its TOFTT and buyer beware for everyone anymore.

Not only as thing are explained earlier in this thread why I won’t write reviews is the same reason I tend to do a average of the reviews on a certain lady. I have so many many times have seen and heard of reviewers giving better reviews for a lady for a cheaper rate. Which I do believe.  I also do believe that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. But when somebody’s getting a 9 in  appearance and you go to the website and they are a for sure a 3 maybe 4 then you know somethings up. You can’t possibly be that far off.    Which I’ve seen many times as we all have.

THATS my .02
