OK, so I am a slightly hairy guy...  Ok, a very hairy guy.  But I hope that the girls that I know think that it is not too gross....  I had my back waxed when I was chasing a beautiful blonde girl several years ago, and it didn't work.  She was not that excited by my waxed back, and then the acne and ingrowing hairs made it all a whole lot worse!

I just shave my own. Most providers seem to like it. I actually had one provider tell me she preffered it hairy down there. I never seen her again.

Not to give out too much information but I have experience in this area. Personally, it does not matter but if you choose to get this done, know this:
1) The waxer (Esthetician) should have gloves on when waxing at all times.
2) The Esthetician should never double dip in the wax
3) You can trim the area with clippers before your wax. The Esthetician, if she is good will also have clippers to do this for you.
3) Hard wax should be used on the area.
4) After waxing make sure the Esthetician put on some kind of lotion, liquid or gel for ingrown hairs.  
5) Buy a product to prevent ingrown hairs.
