I hear that TER is about to launch a new profit center by offering HobbyCare Supplemental Health Insurance. It will cover the costs of hobby related injuries such as yours. Premiums may be paid by CCBill, Money Order or Anonymous Gift Cards. The Claim Forms look suspiciously like Review Submission Forms. After a test roll out to a small group of hobbyists, the program was a "10, 10" by almost all of them. But you know how reliable TER Reviewer ratings can be. Explaining your wounds to your ATF or SO is still your problem
My former ATF (she moved on from the hobby) left a pretty good set of claw marks on one side of my back. Anyone could see the location and angle pointed exactly to a job well done lol!! Only problem is Miss Case wouldn't be too impressed. So I had my lady friend scratch a few times across the claw marks to obscure the obvious lady love mark pattern. Convinced Miss Case I had had to crawl under a piece of equipment at work to fix it and tore myself up in the process, even ripped my work shirt a bit to sell the illusion. Always be thinking fellas!
if you're worried about the bruises because of a significant other possibly seeing them I do have one suggestion. Obviously this depends on your circumstances and whether or not you and your partner are even sexually active.
Come home or into bed once your partner is sleeping, so hopefully the room is dark. Initiate rough sex..wake up in the morning and blame the bruises on your partner..ha! (Works really well for hickeys)
