And I hate it being called Hun.  Granted, none of us using real names, so what do you prefer, as a provider, to be called?

Sweetie?  Hottie?  Babe?  Hun?  Honey?  Girlfriend?

Help me out here

Use your wife's name. That way if you ever have sex with your wife there will be no change in mannerisms.

Only kidding!

you being called "hon," isn't detracting from the fun and enjoyment you could be having with the lady. If it is, I'd suggest trying to get at the root of why you have such a strong response to a harmless personal acknowledgment.

I can understand that "hun" is a bit condescending...
I m a little bit different in my approach.. Usually I have a pet name or name that sparks a connection between myself and my client (hobbyist)ie: "sausage man:,"the nose"..and on and on..oh myATF is the "Ole Guy
though I do love when a certain provider calls me "baby.." yes Miss Avalon ..she can call me whatever she wants..hehehe
I guess as  long as someone is NOT calling you a deragatory name.. unless..
That may be what you like??lol just a little humor..
"Hun" is better than "DONE!!" hehe so take it with a grain of salt and just call her "hun" in return..see if she gives you the deer in head light look..lol
bottom line just have a great and safe time!!!
with sincerity

Personally, I don't care what you call me.  As long as you and I are having a good time, what does it matter?  So many people complain about words.  Even the nice ones!  Ya just can't win!  I would stop worrying about it so much and focus on getting laid instead.

Okay Hon?  Have a great night.  Hey...I didn't call you Hun!  LOL

I'm glad I found this topic because I have been thinking about it for a while now. I had my first experience a few weeks ago, with a great provider that I plan to keep seeing. She has a beautiful name, that can be shortened to something that looks more like a male name. Think Samantha, although that is not it.  I would like to be able to call her that. If I was ever to write her name down and it was found, not that I plan on it, or say it in my sleep etc, it may be easier to explain. Also, I find it a little sexy for some reason (please don't go into a gay psycobabble on me here)

Anyway, I know this is a little more specific, and not so much the generic of the original post, but I have been thinking about it. I plan on asking her, the next time we meet, "does anyone ever call you ____" Hopefully, it's okay with her, I also need something to call her in the throes (so to speak), and being new to this, I'm not sure of the etiquette (sp)

Any help would be appreciated.

I love when my clients say my name...

"ooh ya Janie, touch me there"
"mmm Janie, that feels sooo good"
"fuck ya Janie, that's THE spot"

You get the idea.
JANIE, remember it, cuz you'll be sayin it later :)

But I was born and raised in the south, and we have a tendency to call everyone Hon. Sugar and Sweetie are quite common to hear where I live also. I get called those names at least once a day in civie life, it's normal for me to hear that from old ladies at the checkout counter at Walmart.

As a provider, I like to hear those sweet pet names from my clients. I just got an email from a client, and he called me Doll. I like that one!

I was taught that it was impolite to call people, hun, sweetie....punkin' so on and so forth..unless it's your SO

Or I'll just scream something unintelligible that neither one of us can understand...  LOL

Too often I get, STFU ole man, just give me a damn cart please.

Can't wait to hobby again. It takes 6 months to muster up the fee.

I agree with you Lorena. To me, pet names such as "Hun,"sweety, "Sugar" Cookie" are names that mothers call their children. I am  especially annoyed when a provider calls me any one of those names or "BABE".

I have been called "sexy bitch" " babe buns" or something that fits my persona I have been called the ones mentioned . I don't mind being called Dear, Petite whatever they want to put after that word but it is all about the connection we make . Each individual makes a unique connection with a pet name attached. But all in all its all about the sexytime !

believe it or not, not every man operates in the hobby under an alias. all of my clients provide their true names, and that is what i will call them. there are a very few however, whom i naturally refer to as "Sir." can't explain why, they just evoke that response in me.

as for what i like to be called, you can't go wrong with my chosen name. during intimate moments, call me whatever feels natural...i don't tend to be called anything too dirty, usually something like sweetie, babydoll, precious. something cute and endearing, which i like. :) also some long-time friends have come up with special nicknames for me that they use all the time, and of course i love that. but i do not believe in referring to a man by a petname or nickname, i view it as somewhat condescending.

I prefer when a lady calls me by my name, it is actually a real turn on during sex.  I found what you call one lady another may dislike.   I was raised in MI, we say mam a lot down their.  I do not recommend responding to a provider in any situation as mam.  The whole mess was cleared up when I re-responded to her as a sexy bitch. (her request)

knowing someone they are OK, but it is nicer when they do use your name.  Again, with those that you have seen often enough.

Certainly not a deal breaker, but it is certainly a nice plus when they use your name.

Will also admit, a few words just seem like cheap movie line repeats and are perhaps a little less desirable than others.  But no real biggie.

I tend to use "gorgeous" and "sexy" myself.  But then most I have met are just that.
