I was cancelled on day of by a girl who charges 300 for day of cancellations. No big deal shit happens and I rebooked with her in a few weeks. As a client I don’t want anyone coming who is not at their best.

A lot of providers in this business require deposits for outcalls because some clients will fantasy book and go ghost once you get to their hotel or residence. As a provider who has never asked for deposits, I’m so grateful that this has never happened to me for the six months that I’ve been providing. I’ve had dozens of no shows for incalls, but never for outcalls. A part of me is trying to mentally prepare for this to happen because I know my luck won’t be this great forever if I don’t start asking for deposits.😅😅

Eventually, someone will think it's hilariously funny to put in a special request - sexy attire and heels only to watch you, and hopefully you did not have to commute  far, or waste too much time.

Live & learn.

What will you do when it happens to you?

I honestly don’t know what I’d do which is why I plan to change this in the near future. I know I won’t be so Lucy if I don’t put a barrier in place before it gets to that point!!

Sure it might happen and probably will. But you'll cut down your chances by how well you screen.
But you gotta ask yourself this, if I ask for deposits, what's gonna be my drop in calls/appointments? So far you're been kinda lucky...I like that word...lucky. So on one hand, you've getting XX amount of calls without deposits, now on the other, hand with deposits you might get XX number of calls. I dunno...tough call
I can't say what I'd do. Maybe ask for a slight deposit,...Can't say, only you would know.
Good Luck

I agree with you Hpygolky.  After being burned a couple times I basically don't reach out to women who require them.  I have made a few exceptions.  But my norm is to see one of the many that still don't.  Fortunately, I have a good history and reputation (lots of reviews, many P411 Okays, etc.)  and even women who do require it have waived it for me.

Not true. At least as far as we're concerned. In 18 years our no shows have been almost nonexistent. We have never asked for a deposit and never expect to.

I have been in this business since 2002 and have been fortunate enough to network with many great independent providers and it seems that clients tend to take more liberties with independent ladies than the do with agencies. Especially reputable agencies.

And I am here for it. I cannot think of any reason why 50% is reasonable or necessary. And a provider who asks for deposits always has a reason. Doesn’t make it true. And the OP starts off by sharing she’s never been ghosted but is considering deposits because she might be? Make it make sense. Thanks 100Proof for keeping it real.

We're all adults & can agree to disagree. No harm no foul.

I started as an agency provider. I worked for 7 total in San Diego and 2 in Las Vegas before becoming independent.

Las Vegas is pretty simple it's a strip. Maybe you get an outcall to a home in Henderson.

You don't understand, or can't comprehend the value of an only active and single parent who has a real entrepreneurship. You can't just drop everything for a question mark in hopes to not have your time wasted.
I truly believe the clients I attract value my time and my company. Do you.  I do what works for me.

If you've never worked this industry, or been exposed to agencies it's hard to relate.

You’re always the optimist, so maybe not fully burst lol. Most providers don’t require deposits and just factor in the small number of no shows they may get. And I think we both know it’s small. If you’re screening well, the likelihood of a client wasting your time is considerably low. The guys more likely to do that are the ones who want to go back and forth with questions before they provide you anything. A guy willing to provide screening information is significantly less likely to not follow through.

The deposit is just another hurdle. It might reduce the already small number of no shows to none, but at what cost? How many legitimate bookings are you not getting because of it? And at 50%, that’s going to scare a lot of guys away. I get it. You want assurances. You don’t want your time wasted. And zero is better than 2 or 3.

But I see you on here working harder than anyone else to get new clients. I have seen you ask questions about expanding your business. Everything doesn’t seem to be working. So, it’s fair to wonder, is the deposit creating more of an obstacle to your success or not?

At the end, you do what you feel comfortable doing. I’m not here to tell you otherwise. I’m just posing some food for thought questions.

I have been in this for fifteen plus years and can say I have never NCNS  but did cancel on a Touring provider two days ahead of an appointment ( wife came down with Covid ) ,and one other time woke up with a fever day of and asked if she wanted to proceed or reschedule. On the other hand seeing mostly Indies ran out of fingers and toes counting the last minute cancelations or the anseri g of the arrival text after having waited impatiently or the call the next day saying “where are you” and even that was late .
Then they wonder why clients do it seemed concerned when they need cancel.
I assume the agency will almost immediately terminate unreliable provider quite quickly just as they will “cut bait “ with the trouble client.

We will "cut bait" with a problem client. If a new client no shows us, which hasn't happened in a while, he is blacklisted for life without having a good reason. If a repeat client no shows us, he in blacklisted for 1 year without having a good reason.

Unreliable providers are let go immediately and we are very selective as to who we hire. We haven't hired anyone new in 3 years because most applicants do not meet our business profile in the way of service.

having many providers as friends and some as RL girlfriends, if you charge everyone a deposit, you will never know how many customers you will never see that would have booked with you if you didn't charge a deposit.  This loss of revenue will far exceed any inconvenience you will experience as a result of the occasional no-show.  If you get a NSNC once in a while, post the guy's TER username on the PO discussion board.

With that said, I agree with your comment about no-shows being less of an issue for agencies.  Smart customers know that the girls may come and go over time, but the agency booker is gatekeeper for the girls you will want to see in the future, so don't do anything unnecessarily to make him/her look bad to the girls they are managing.
