Let me first make this across the board statement before I get in a lot of hot water with all the "responsible" providers. This is only aimed at the "irresponsible providers"!!
I've not been in the hobby for that long but today is one of those days I don't think it would matter. I had contacted a very well reviewed provider last week that I found using my regional board. I told/asked her the next time she was coming this way I would like to be pre-screened and for her to mark me down as her 1st appointment. I received an email back stating she would be here today (election day) and she would see me that afternoon. She gave me her phone number and gave me a time. I called her 1 hr. prior to appointment as it takes me 30 min. to get to the area she will hosting. No pick-up just voice mail. I waited 10 min. and tried again. So this time I left a voice mail stating it was me, and I needed to know all was a go. It's now been 4 hours with no phone call, email or nothing. I am self employed and missed 2 meetings because of this mess.
Yesterday I had the exact same thing happen to me from a local girl (also well reviewed). No call back, no excuses no nothing. A lot of ladies where I'm located are complaining about business being slow. No wonder if they are treating their customers like I've been treated!
These two instances are not the only one. I've had about 5 of these in the severl months (they were all reviewed on TER with good numbers!!!).
Thank goodness I have an ATF that I meet every week rain/shine and she is the best ever in manners, being prompt and keeping me in good contact if she is running a little late (like 15 min. or so).
Can someone tell me if this is the norm?? I would like to hear from providers as well (if I haven't pissed the good ones off??). What you guys do to avoid this or what can you ladies tell me to do to avoid this?? Of all the ladies I've seen they are all very happy to have me as a return customer so I know it's not me.
Once again this is not aimed at the nice ladies who treat their customers like I treat my customers.

You have an ATF,that you meet every week?...Man you must be one horny dude,if you see your ATF once/wk and other provider"s also!...Can you send me a vial of your testosterone..(LOL)!
You are soooo sweet Ashlyn, the type of provider I try really hard to find and hang onto. Actually an update on one of the two ladies I was ranting about called and emailed me a very long apology and has agreed to meet me at a very reduce cost to "make it up to me". I warned her this time unless she is in an ambulance she better come thru...ha...ha. I also still would like to here from other ladies on how to best avoid this happening. I understand if you can't make an apointment but no call, no email to me is NO excuse!
At first I thought I was doing something wrong, but I'm finding that it's apparently just an accepted problem. The odd part is that it happens with very well reviewed ladies.
I would say that more than 3/4 of my attempts at contact have been ignored.
My very first attempt at contacting a provider was an absolutely gorgeous lady I had been wanting to see for a long time. She is one of the most elite ladies in the entire city, and I was very, very excited at the possibility of seeing her. I was incredibly polite, tried to make a good impression etc. Since I had no references she asked for a lot of personal information. I gave it, even though I was nervous about it. I asked if she could get back to me in a few days so I would know my emails with all my personal info weren't sitting in a junk mailbox somewhere or floating around in plain text. A week went by. I sent an email asking if she had gotten my information. Four more days went by, and I got a single word email reply. "yes."
I never heard from her again.
Of late I've started sending a note at the bottom of my emails asking that if theyre not interested in seeing me for any reason, to please send me a quick note saying so, so that I know my emails have gone through and won't attempt to send more.
I think most of the ladies that ignore emails, or don't call, don't show, have the attitude now that they've had it done so many times to themselves that all their clients deserve the same rudeness in kind.
When I do meet a lady that is polite, punctual and courteous, I am very, very happy and keep her number at the top of my list.
We all understand your pain. Unfortunately, it's happened to all of us at one time or another. All I can say is check reviews of the top ladies and you shouldn't have a problem. Next time, ask another hobbiest if you are concerned about a NS/NC. I have only had to cancel on a few men in my entire career, and it was due to illness or a family death. Luckily, I didn't cancel on them at the last minute.
