Since a large percentage of hobbyist have families, etc....has anyone tried to pull off a rendevous on Christmas Day.

Only two reasons I don't: I never let hobbying interfere with family time, and it's not a work day so I don't have any "cover."  If not for those things I certainly would hook up on 12/25...as one might infer from my handle, I don't think of the day as having any significance beyond being a great day to spend with family and friends.
