Here's a thought...

Is there anyplace on TER to post information about providers who are a No Show? I would like to know if a provider, even with great reviews, is flaky and frequently doesn't keep appointments. I'd like to post that info on a couple of experiences, myself.

We had a hug thread going about this. Many people not all felt that writing a message in that Providers area board with "no show - name" would be a helpful tool. Then you would be able to use the messages "search" feature. Since you cant *review* her because she didnt show you could at least present it on the boards.
1- If it were a valid mistake she would be able to come back when her situation or emergency changed and state her side
2- if its a *repeated* pattern Hobbyist will be able to weigh that against her reviews.

How about adding a line to the review form where you list how many days it took for the provider to respond to your initial appointment request?

Maybe another line for how many email or phone messages had to be left to get a call or writeback.....

You can not review someone you did not see and that is the issue with the "no show " question
Plus a Provider is not here to be available to you 24/7 We have lives. She doesnt answer you move on. Most providers now also do not like telephone calls as listed in the reasons in earlier posts from all the dingdong calls that have been happening. On another Board the ladies are all taking their numbers off. So - if you have to email to start your appointment obviously its going to take some amount of time for some one to get back to you. Because we have other activities this should be a field for critique?
The point of the *fantasy* review being that this is all just for pretend anyway ( ahhmmm ) Is to let Hobbyist know if a provider is the person she presents herself as .. the right match for him and not a rip off. Reviews also subjective to the feelings of those that wrote them.
If I am to be rated on how quickly I get back to you.. which takes a week because I am in Cancun and you neglect to read through my site thoroughly -(which seems to be the biggest problem with people making appts these days) we have a good time when I get back but then you make me appear I am a slow poke ..

..time to make efficient use of the internet tools.  Most all gals, NO! not ALL, have websites.  Putting up a schedule for when you are "out to lunch" should be no big deal.  Also, autoresponders for email during an extended time away would be nice.  Yea, I know, the "providers" are not Wal-Marts open 24-7, but it would seem to me to be just good business process to keep the "client base" informed.

Just My Opinion...

In my business I try to make sure that it doesn't take more than 24 hours to return a phone or email message.  Some get cranky waiting THAT long, but that is the worst case.  With the vast majority of providers, I've seen a laptop open with an active internet link whenever I arrived.  Many cellphones can be configured to receive email. Maybe arrange for another provider (most have a business relationship with another for those FMF encounters) to check your email if you are to be away from email for an extended time.

I had a provider call me back 12 days after I emailed her and sounded miffed when I said that I had already made alternate arrangements.  I only can justify 5 or 6 appointments a year given my preference for 2 hr. visits so I only feel that it is fair that she not take more than a couple of days to get back to me.

As for the challenging of my suggestion to add it to the review process, I admit that it is only useful when you can successfully make a connection and generate a review, but it may help give potential new clients an idea as to the length of time it takes to return an initial contact request.  Once or twice may not be a problem, but if a provider makes it a habit of taking weeks to get back to someone, then we should make the info available so others with tighter time constraints can know to look elsewhere.

Yes .. But the topic here was rating a Provider for NOT GETTING BACK TO YOU in a TIMELY MATTER

That being said .. it goes with out saying with all the internet tools in the world and a pluthera of HTML schedules FAQ and contact rules are often ignored overlooked or
not paid attention to....
I say .. call me to schedule your appt not chit chat or ask questions.. first words out from a call at 4am "can I ask you a question"
I say .. I do not see couples.. "can me and my wife make an appt"

Often the client base is MORE than well informed or has the apparent oppurtunity to be . But with all the beautiful websites that exist I can and 20 other Ladies can tell you how much that information is paid attention to

well duh

I can virtually guarantee it will be seen if displayed as a tattoo in a conspicuous place.

No that was not the topic! You misinterpreted my initial query. I am talking about an independent provider, seen twice before, where an appointment was set up by email, with her confirmation. She had my email address as well as my cell phone number. She didn't respond when I got there, to her doorbell, to her phone, and later to email. This I consider impolite in the extreme. All she had to do was let me know that something had come up and she couldn't see me. She didn't afford me that courtesy. Maybe she didn't like me, maybe I smell bad (though no one has ever complained) She is difficult to get ahold of, either by phone or email. I have previously given her a great review. Right now the only recourse I know of is to request that my review be removed. But that doesn't let other hobbiests know why. Maybe the "no show with name" in the providers board that you earlier suggested would work, with a pointer to my review. But I fear a lot of hobbiests wouldn't check that board, only the reviews.

Both excellent ideas. One provider I know, who travels a lot, at least leaves a message on her voice mail as to when she is away and when she will be back and accepting appointments. Alas her website has no schedule. When I got no email responses I called and got the voicemail message. That is better than most. Although she seems very considerate, alas I've never seen her.

The original question was about no-shows for a previously scheduled appointment.  This is a much more serious "bad" than taking longer than you'd like to set up the appointment.  For one thing, a lot more of the client's time is wasted, especially if he travelled to an incall location.

And it's a lot easier to avoid; just show up.  Of course legitimate emergencies do occur, and it's the habitual no-show provider that we're really concerned about.

Professor42, I think the best thing is to post a message on the local board.  If it's a recurring problem with a particular provider, you'll be amazed at how many "me too" response posts appear.

Again goes back to MESSAGES.
You had a confirmation from her via email she stated your date and time were acceptable.
My first post did directly reflect your intent.
The post above was from the thread it was contained in.

Since there is no ability to rate or review since no appointment took place. Since you were confirmed and showed up for the session you were expecting...
This is where you would write a message on the area ie- LA boston chicago - for where she is located.
By utilizing TER's tools and searching meesages threads...
You can put in the subject line : NO SHOW : Jane Smith
anyone in the future seeking an  appointment can search and see what has been reported on her. she herself can come back and say
"yes John Doe it was not very professional that I did not contact to cancel with you 1- an emergency came up right before 2- I was delayed with another client 3- your a creep go to h***
It is then the decision of whom ever wishes to see her in the future to decide.
Repeated no shows will indeed help a gentleman make up his mind more efficiently

This was the group consensus as well when this topic came up a few days ago and in my original post was the suggestion given.
I think its a fantastic tool
