Hi Hobbyists & Ladies,

As most of you know I refuse to use the words that demean women! Isee a lot of terms such as h**ker being tossed around!!Yes,this is a P4P proposition & most women would not have fun w/ you outside the profession! I get that, but still, these are remarkable women who see us under these circumstances & should be treated w/ the respect they deserve!! I think if society would not see these women as h**kers & such, this profession would be more widely accepted & maybe legalized outside of Nevada!! After- all when you get down to it. it's just a job!!! As the great George Carlin one stated " selling is legal, fking is legal, so why is selling fking illegal?" So, back to my point are there others out there, such as me, who think women are the greatest creation of Mother Nature & regardless of  those who work in this profession, should be afforded the same respect, afforded all women outside of this business?? :o)

I may not be as experienced as you, Cubbie, but I agree with you 100%.  Yes, it's P4P but it's also an intimate service that carries a lot of nuance and exposes both parties, literally but in other, more subtle ways.  I do believe there's a karma here, you get back what you put in.  I've adored every one of the ladies I've seen.

Absolutely!!! It just shows the overall attitude that sadly is the norm today. All women deserve respect no matter what their chosen profession. I'm new to this game but I have noticed a lot of degrading things said here, you're right it is just wrong. These lady's put their selves in a potentially dangerous position, when that hotel room door opens no matter how much she's screened it still could be some low life she's letting in to her room. I've only seen one lady but it was a great experience I treated her with the utmost respect and of course she took good care of me. Really guys most if not all of us wouldn't have a chance with women this hot in the real world, so be thankfull they are here for us. Show a little respect I know society looks down on these lady's but when you get down to it that hottie you're fucking is somebody's daughter, mother etc.. So treat her like the precious gift she is!!!!

Like:  Guy from this board organizes a Halloween meet n' greet called "Tricks & Treats" -- okay. Lady on this board writing "You all are just a bunch of pathetic tricks that can't get laid" -- not okay...

Correct me if I'm wrong ;-)

A lady that caters to one of the most present needs we have on a daily basis. I cannot think of a more respectable position to have. Who wants to see the doctor? Who wants to see the dentist? Who in the hell ever wants to hear from your congress representative? I don't want the school superintendent to call. The waitress can't make me feel nearly as good! Though I am thankful for all the people who work together to make life smooth, when my girl sets up a meeting with me, she is all I can think of and there is nothing I wouldn't do for her if I could.

While the intent is really only known by the user, there is the connotation that the rest of us see.

If the words hooker and whore can be used and we all should formulate what it means to us as an individual,, then why not use -- and -- and --? Shouldn't African Americans and Jews and homosexuals just read into it what they feel?  Because if everyone gave no power to words that some deem offensive, then we would be able to say what we want.

it's just that society seems to protect those that scream the loudest about the names they are called.

If those words are offensive then we should be using the  "h" and "w" words instead. Only those that are  of a particular persuasion have the luxury of calling each the word that not everyone is allowed to say..

I agree that words only have the power you give them. Some people use the words you mention when joking but never use them in a  situation where it would be offensive. I here women calling each other hooker all the time "hey hooker, what you do this weekend?"

As far as preferences I don't like the term whore, I find it derogatory in any way it's used, but that is my preference and may not be the same to others. I have said many times that I'm always respectful of any woman I'm with.

We have African American and Jews on this board, why is it that we all have spare their feelings and yet let the ladies deal with the intent (obviously NOT meant as a term of endearment) by being called a whore or a hooker?  Some might say thats what they are..well others might say say there are some niggers or kikes on the board too, however those terms are not allowed.

Why is it that some factions have to suck it up and others get the kid glove treatment? If political correctness is selective, then it's a joke.

There are certain sacred cows among the victim classes, yet other people, issues, etc, are fair game. It's wildly uneven and complete bullshit. Case in point: You can advertise tobacco to women, but if you target the black community, you're suddenly pilloried as a racially motivated killer. Want to insult  Christians, fat people, Caucasians or males in general? You're probably okay. Self hating Jews tend to get a free pass, but if you brand Islam a barbaric depressor of women, you're toast. It's a complex dance that only results in more anger, less self determination of our own identity, and greater loss of free speech.
This entire farce actually harms gender and racial relations, because it creates an air of vengeance rather than discussion.

of society.

Given that, we also know (at least ought to know) under what conditions and circumstances some words can and cannot be used.

That said, I am certainly not trying to license anyone to use words indiscriminately and certainly not to inflict pain on those undeserving of same.

My only point was to show that without intent, no word on it's own has the power to hurt.  This is why I hate the idea of enforced censorship, because censors never know the whole story.

If some being were to come down to our planet, and said being never saw a horse or a cart before, and then saw a horse pulling a cart, that being could be excused for thinking that the cart is pushing the horse along.

In this analogy, the cart is the word, and the horse is the intent.

The rest of us know better.

It depends how the word is used. When certain members here refer to me as a hooker, it is more of a term of endearment like slapping me on the ass in a joking way to say "Good job girl," or "Now, go get em" like done in freaking professional sports. It is one thing if some outsider comes in and says, "Gee, look at you bunch of whores and johns here spreading disease." The intent behind a word always means more than the word itself, and quite frankly words only have power if you let them.

When I was in HS, the group I hung around with were all white...skip to 22 years old and they were all Asian and Black. I noticed how they all joked around calling each other the N word, and found it offensive at first. Then, I suddenly realized that THEY were not offended because it was amongst friends. If someone off the street would use that word towards them, they would get their ass kicked lol.

However that does not stop the lesbian bullshit comments from a certain few. Would one person in particular go to his gay son's SO's house and start flinging around the word --? That same individual has no problem smearing lesbians on here.

Seriously though, if one does not like what others say regardless of orientation, skin color, ethnicity or religion...why is okay to dish it out to a few factions? That's right it's not. You might not mind being called a whore or a hooker, and there are some Jews that don't care if someone calls them a --, gays that don't mind -- or --...but to suggest some words are fine and others not is again, pathetic. To me it's redundant. IF you are talking about prostitutes and the only ladies on the board are prostitutes, why address them as prositutes everytime you talk about them? It's like if the only color people in the room are purple, it's a given and everytime you talk about them you'd just address them as people b/c making a point to call them purple everytime would just be dumb like duh they're purple. Duh, we're hookers, whores, sluts, prostitutes, any other name you want to call us, but duh also that we're the only ladies on the board, so to make a point to address us w/ a label each time is silly. A black person is NOT however the N word! They are black or African American. You are mixing slurs with the actual truthful words that define what we do. Maybe the word "hooker" might be considered a slur, but prostitute and whore are certainly NOT a slur. They are the words that define a person who gets paid to fk. There would not be many ladies willing to book a guy who in his intro email says"I haven't been with a whore in a while so my whore references are a little slim, but you look fabulous, here's my screening info , the time I'd like to meet with you etc. etc.

Just because it's in Websters doesn't mean it's palatable to everyone.

To be honest. I could care less what word someone uses to describe me.
Client, and hobbyist suck though. I feel like I am going to have my taxes done, while building model airplanes.
It's just not sexy at all. Trick, and John just sound better to me.
Professional Hobbyist? That term is an oxymoron. All of you wonderful, incredibly beautiful, sweet, caring, intelligent, magnificent, god like creatures of the stars can call me whatever they want though.

...I see what you're saying Mr. Fisher, however having censorship for some and not all is unbalanced.  Rarely are words uttered without some sort of intent, the true meaning of that intent is only really known to the person who uttered said word/s. The general meaning or the perception is for the listeners to decide upon. Some will like what they hear, others will be offended.

Either we can use our internal filters or not. Some will and some won't. But to single out a few words and make those verboten is just asking for trouble. It diminishes the effect of other negative words   and allows people to use them as verbal weapons.

Clarence said it all too well, there are many names for women who get paid to have sex with men...there are some kinder and others just plain offensive. Why choose the more offensive when there are other options? The main reason is to harm.

You have some great points, and I agree with most of it, though I disagree about the words "escort" and "prostitute" having the potential to be as offensive as "hooker" or "whore". The first two are descriptions used by the general public to name an occupation. There is a difference in definitions - an escort is more of a companion, a prostitute is more focused on sex acts - but usually the public uses those words synonymously, or uses escort as a euphemism for prostitute. If someone writes an article or a thesis about the subject, the words escort and prostitute are used, and they are not seen as offensive by the reader. The words "hooker" and "whore" have a very different connotation. Those words are not used in academia, and when they are used by the general public, they are meant to be offensive. (Yes, some may find it "funny" or "cute" to call each other names, say "hey, hooker, what's up", but I don't think that a teenager's vocabulary really makes a difference in this argument...) I would think that if anyone should be careful with those derogatory words, it should be the men using the services of escorts.

If I called someone a certain name and he or she told me that they found the word offensive, I would never use that word in relation to them again, unless I wanted to pick a fight, be nasty, or just annoy the person for my own amusement. It would be more of a testament to my “issues” than anything else. It is the same case on this board: the word hooker has been the source of an ongoing argument between a few people. Half a dozen people use the word freely, half a dozen keep asking them to stop, but it does not change, because the ones who use it seem to get off on offending the ones who are asking them not to use it.

Unfortunately what the very same men do not realize is that when words like “hooker” and “whore” are used on this board, it makes many of the women reading it (even the ones who don’t necessarily participate by posting) feel that these men are trying to be intentionally hurtful, and consciously or subconsciously, the women give them the same treatment in person. Few ladies are good enough actresses to pretend to like someone who is known to trash-talk "their kind"...

Then when these very same men have a horrible time in their appointments, it fuels their hatred further, because now they have spent their money on these "hookers" and they didn't have the same "once in a lifetime" experience that some other guy did (you know, the one who called her by her name instead of calling her hooker...) So they continue the name calling, trying to elevate it by inventing new ways to explain why the women are wrong for objecting to the use of the word... But the truth is that blaming someone for getting offended by your namecalling is not logical at all. If someone wanted to be reasonable and really cared not to hurt anyone’s feelings, the words "escort" and "client" would be pretty safe bets, or even "lady" and "gentleman" would work, since 99% of females posting here are escorts / prostitutes and 99.9% of men posting here are clients, so genders are pretty much a giveaway, we don't need to point out the obvious daily. Then again, the men who are so clearly resentful of having to pay escorts for their services seem to always use the word that has the most impact. If women on this board complained about being called “ladies”, I'm sure those certain few would use the word “lady” at all times. You just can't win with some people...

P.s. excuse the typos, spellcheck is broken..

So in that context I guess you are also a hooker.  If you weren't doing that I would probably think that you're an escort, or companion as you prefer to illustrate for me...and simply, for example, escort a guy to a place.  Doesn't seem that's what YOU do.

And the other oxymoron you posted is that the gal wouldn't give the guy the good time he's looking for if you see him posting words YOU don't like.  Why in the hell would you see that guy?  Makes no fucking sense to me...but then I'm only a casual observer on these boards  LOL

Other than that...I agree with your observations 110%  :D

White trash typically describes a white person that is poor or uneducated. You can still be considered white trash if you make $150,000 a year or more working overtime in a factory. Some of the factory union guys at Ford or GM qualify for this. They spend their money buying NASCAR crap, buying speed boats, hunting equipment and fishing gear while drive a "duelly pickup truck."

White trash is by far lower in society than Black trash ever can be viewed. The black trash usually has some sense of class and dignity and at least know how to dress other than a mullet.

Let the white trash keep working overtime hours in the factory. Lot's of working hours does not provide class!

I'm okay with being called a walking wallet (at least in her mind), I think, because until I prove myself as something different in a situation with a provider, then- it's apt.
If she decides we're going to be friendly, not friends but more than completely antiseptic participants in a business transaction, well, then that's cool too. I don't expect anything else, but one the other hand, my own hangups dictate that I hope for an accommodation between two adults that is mutually beneficial with a minimum of degradation. It's not my thing, and I don't want any part of it.
In that sense, my own nomenclature for a provider is based on our "relationship", and only that which we agree upon as being acceptable. I'm willing to bet it pays off in the long run, if I see a provider twice or more.

Being redundant in speech usually stems from two issues: laziness and disregard. Both go hand in hand. The curious part of offending a woman you want to pay for sexual relations is this- if you're a bit nicer, more thoughtful in your actions, want to bet who gets rewarded with a better effort, more emphasis on the fun, time over, etc?
In simple terms, money can get you laid by a provider, but honey gets her A game, every time.

But to each their own...i just tuini its redundant and a given.

You hit it on the head- I want to have fun, or rather, all the best fun parts of a crazy ex-girlfriend without the problems, and I sense that if we're both on the same page, even better.. If she makes her car payment on my dime, more power to her.

I noticed Saturnsky said that sometimes providers find a part of their job "gross". My GOAL is to never be a part of a transaction that can be defined as "gross". That's why I'm being so choosy, thus far, it's working.

i'm not sure of the good old fashioned way, I'm not old, but I always learned to give others respect until they show they're not worthy.
You no longer have mine, so no worries, I'll keep it.

Again I find myself apologizing for being insulted.
Sorry we don't see this the same way.
Saying you respect someone you never, or just met is stupid.
If you respect me for what I type here? Forget that.

What is odd.
This whole thing started because I said I like the word Trick.
Not the meaning, but the sound.
It turned into something I did not expect.
I hate fighting. So I say you win... My respect.
