TER General Board

Here is some more thought...

I've gone back and forth on this in my head and wish some input, as I do not recall a discussion on this topic previously.  I just had a date that was 10/9 (looks/performance).  She has a donation that is nearly double the average, I assume because she is drop dead GORGEOUS.  I have seen many others who are 9 or 10 performance who charge much less.  Should I discuss the donation vis-a-vis the experience?  Is it at all relevant?  Can I do it without making the review sound negative (I had a really fun time)?  Or should I just leave it to the hobbyist to search the cost info on his own?  Any thoughts?

many reviews that commented on the donation commensurate with the performance/looks/attitude.
You can word the review in a way that makes your feelings known without blowing her out of the water. Just be honest about it.

......choice to see her, knowing beforehand I'm sure, what her donation was and able to choose less expensive Providers if you wanted.  So, I'd say write the review on the experience only, others will find her rates and read your review for the details of your session.

At the same time, and in the other direction, I sometimes do appreciate when an experienced Hobbyist who has similar tastes to mine suggests, in a review, that a lower priced Provider's service is comparable to more expensive women.  Then if she meets my tastes in looks and other considerations....a good find...and one of the major reasons I'm a member of TER.

Oh, to be a wealthy man!

other gents decide whether her pics / rate / service etc make sense to them.

you can still make sure that the performance and appearance ratings make sense when compared to your less expensive experiences. Also, think, was there anything that DID set her apart to justify her rate - other than she can ask for any damn rate she likes that the market will bare.

I think the issue here isn't the price, since you know that going in (at least, if you're smart and you've done your research). The question then becomes how did the performance with you relate to the donation, i.e., what was the quality to price (QPR) ratio?

Since that is something that can't be subjectively assessed until after the session, I think that it's fair game in any review. I want to know that the Chevy delivered a performance very close to that of the Mercedes, especially since the Chevy is substantially less in cost.

OTOH, I don't mind paying more for something, as long as I get what I pay for. Unless I have unrealistic expectations (again, going back to doing research, reading the evaluations, talking to her, etc.), then the totality of the info provided should give me a general guide as to what I can expect.

QPR is especially important in these days of diminished economic capabilities. I want the most bang for my buck, whether we're talking fun with the ladies, a bottle of wine, or whether to spend $12 on the upcoming summer blockbuster movie.

I'm leaning toward ignoring the donation issue altogether because I agree that a provider should charge whatever she desires.  More power to her.  I was thinking that it might assist the hobbyist reading the review to know that the performance was equivalent to others I had seen who didn't request as high a donation.  BTW, I wanted some input from the community before writing the review.  I will write one, in response to the poster who advised to write the review first.

This is a business.

In any business, it is in the consumer's best interest to maximize value (performance/appearance) for money. The hobby should be no different.

I agree with GTM -- I wouldn't perform this assessment within a review.

I'd just write a straightforward honest reviews and then let others who might see her in the future do a value analysis based on that.

Any rational hobbyist will have extremely high expectations of any provider who charges more than lawyers in a white-shoe firm.

Performance/look has nothing to do with price.

Every provider decides what market to target, i.e working class, middle class, or upper class...a response above mentioned cars but you cannot compare Chevrolet and Mercedes because both automaker target different demographics.

before you knocked on the door. I don't think the rates should ever be mentioned in the reviews. It's performance vs. performance, and appearance vs. appearance.

You knew she was double your norm in price and went ahead anyway, and then rated her 10/9, saying she was drop dead... blah blah.

Well? You did her and reported here she was great and we must assume well worth the dollars. Others may find her drop dead... also and could care less the fee. That is life. Girls get to charge what the market will bear.

Write a good review for the lady, and keep your comments to yourself regarding the fees. There is no place for negative comments on rates in reviews.

Personally, I'd rather the review be based on the experience, verses other experiences.  The 1-10 rating system offers qualifiers, not "once in a life time (at least, for 50/hr!)" doesn't make sense as it shouldn't matter if it was 50 or 50,000.

Anyone who reads the review will also be able to see her posted rate, and can do the math for themselves.

I appreciate everyone's input.  I was leaning toward ignoring the whole donation comparison thing, and that's what I'm going to do.

but it should not be a problem in concluding in your review if you think she was worth the extra $ or not. I've seen that before, and even in the opposite way, such as someone who tends to charge below market being remarked on as "not a bad deal for the money" etc even when getting slightly lower scores. I don't see a problem in letting the reader know if you felt she was worth the extra or not. No difference from just stating if you would be willing to see her again or not, which takes into account both performance and rate.

I was contacted by someone who said she should lower her rates if she wasn't offering some extra services (such as trips to the islands). I agree she should probably lower her rates, but she doesn't have to and it's none of my damned business.

I assume that every provider adjusts their rates to the level of what they expect/need for the lifestyle they wish to have and the level of business activity they desire.

In some ways this gals business model is no different from a B&S/RO scenario. Except, that she is delivering a solid product, but at an inflated price.

I don't see the big deal about the money/review issue, as the price is listed on her web site, and in the review profile.

It is certainly within your right to say it was a great session, but that you wouldn't repeat due to the price. It doesn't detract from her review or her at all.

I think it really comes down to your personal choice. If the review is well written any idiot hobbyist can figure it out. If they can't, then shame on them. Caveat emptor.
