This is our attempt to monitor this every growing activity. Keep in mind that it is election year coupled with Mr Ashcroft.
Things will get tough for a while.

Even living in DC, I missed the Washington Post for a few days and discovered a week later that the DC LE and FBI had raided a whole bunch of Asian spas that are frequented by hundreds of horny DC males, and caught a few with their pants down.
With Ashcroft in office as US Attorney General, this will only increase.
I wonder if there is a need for a website that has the relevant laws state-by-state, and news items on LE activity, both state and federal, as well as material on the Mann Act, Travel Act, and a lot more. This would be a fun part-time project for a retired crim defense lawyer, and could help a lot of people stay informed and out of trouble.
In the DC raids, for example, the FBI ran down a few guy-customers. Every now and then I search the subject and see that there are often stings and arrests, everywhere, from Tampa to Toledo. The boards contain a lot of misinformation and naivete that a crim defense lawyer could dispell in a helpful way. Also, the boards report hardly 2% of what is going on.
Guys and escorts need to know, for example, the time when Chicago LE was stinging visiting escorts. The DC busts were predictable based upon a bust last year, if you knew about it.
This is hard info to get, and not easy for laypersons to interpret in ways useful to staying out of trouble.
Maybe there is such a site already, and I just don't know about it. Maybe most people are in such total denial they do not realize the need for information to keep themselves out of trouble, and the dozens of little things you can do for self protection.
Of course a site with breasts or bbjeokus is more fun. LOL
I am interested in the viewpoints and needs of others on this.
DC is a safe haven for indys, but still I know of a dozen such busts in the last two years simply by word of mouth.
GREAT IDEA.. Sort of like the very successful LE advisory for Speed Traps.
AWESOME IDEA! Las Vegas is "HOT" right now, and it would be GREAT to be able to go to a website and get information.
You said: The boards contain a lot of misinformation and naivete that a crim defense lawyer could dispell in a helpful way.
YES! There are so many questions ladies may have that only an attorney can answer.
There is a lot of helpful "back channeling/off board" messages, but if you are not in "tight" with the folks "In the know", then you are S.O.L. The Vegas board had a debate about a sting that "allegedly" went down...it would have been great if the information was just posted without all the "vagueness" and "hoopla".

You are right about how "blaze'" some providers (myself included) have become when it comes to protecting ourselves and taking precautions. I am making MAJOR changes to my website, my screening policies and my working methods due to the fact that Las Vegas LE has waged an "ALL OUT WAR" on Outcall Escorts, Agencies and AMP's.
Your idea is GREAT (and Needed).

If there already exsists such a site, I'm sure linkmiester can come up with it.
Otherwise, you seem to know a great deal about the law. Are you an attorney?
I'm not concerned about myself, but I would certainly be willing to help get a Web site like that up for the girls, in a technical, editorial and research capacity.

Great Idea!
Unfortunately, I think you'd have to host it off-shore at one of those "haven" web hosts (check the Dominican Republic and the Netherlands Antilles, LOL). Although you are, indeed, guaranteed your right to express yourself upon the Web however you would like to, by the First Amendment to our fine Constitution among other legal documents, are your pockets deep enough to pursue that guarantee through numerous harassing and petty lawsuits filed against you by just about every jurisdiction and jurisdictional level from Dawgpatch on up to Ashcroft himself?
Yes, it's a free country, but only if you can afford the lawyers. And there is some precedent to keeping information about "ongoing police activity" under wraps. If there's an undercover ongoing sting operation that expects to net some legitimate busts, they probably have a very great right to shut down any information source that would reduce their effectiveness.
Now, that having been said, I'd LOVE for someone else to write up that website. I'd be the first to post whatever info I happened to know. Anonymously, of course.
For example, the situation in my home town (Tampa) is hit-or-miss concerning law-enforcement activity. There are laws on the books that sometimes get enforced, much to the tourist trade's detriment; and sometimes get ignored; and there's only a LITTLE predicting of which is when.
In particular, there's the infamous "six foot" ordinance, which makes lap-dancing basically illegal (I won't go into the specifics) but which is only sometimes enforced, depending. Us locals probably DO have a better ear to the ground concerning the "heat" levels at our local clubs, and we are probably a good source about our city, just as locals in other cities are probably good sources of information about what they know. Sharing the info, especially for travelers, would be a boon to the hobby community. Email me if you'd like. ![]()
