I have seen some insanely high rates for new providers. I just updated my website to offer sweet incentives. Not everyone can afford to hobby at high rates. What have you noticed Willy?

I've seen increases over the past few years but nothing really recent.

But if by "lately" you mean the last 6-12 months, I would say they have stabilized and remained flat over that time frame, in general.

Back in 2008, when I first came into the hobby, it was fairly common to see $260 for what would be $500+ types of gals.

So, yes....in the span of over a decade, pricing has obviously gone up.  But if you look hard enough, there are still a lot of $300-400 gals (agency and indy) that you would be completely happy with.

It all depends on what area you're in.  In the DC area, I would say, a slight increase for agencies, about the same for Asian agencies and a HUGE increase for White indys.

Why don't you tell us what you noticed instead of just posting cryptic message? Also where are you located?

  Well, some prices may have gone down & others may have gone up.

The inflation/wage chase has hit a lot of people.  I think discretionary spending might be indicated by restaurant business as a proxy measure.

I'm not seeing anyone drop their prices and I don't think women are keen to do it. However, some providers are lowering their minimum bookings or providing other incentives for booking. They keep their advertised price high but drop their rate in other ways. Providers are complaining about how dry it is all over social media, so something has to give at some point.

not an en masse doubling or more as occurred not so many years ago, but a provider here, a provider there raising rates a hundred or two at a time.  

IMO, the price pressure is still upwards and the market of guys willing to pay those prices is shrinking (or perhaps those willing/able to pay regularly).  

As always, the provider can set her price, but it is the client who makes the choice.

similar to yours.  I started in 2007 with indies and with Asian agencies in 2008.  I don't think providers are charging proportionally more than what I'm paying for other consumables I buy regularly.  

 
I think what has happened is, now that FOSTA/SESTA seems to be a noisy dog with no teeth, more young women feel comfortable coming into the business.   However, they see what providers with 5-10 years' experience are charging, and they think they can charge the same just because they are younger, and that all they have to do to get top dollar is to look pretty and lay there while the guy fucks them.  By all accounts, the new younger versions do not represent the same value we get from seasoned providers.  This is where a dozen or more recent reviews on TER is a STARTING point for me when checking out new talent.  As Warren Buffet says, . . . .  "Price is what you pay, but value is what you get."  (He wasn't specifically referring to pussy, but it still applies.)   Always look for good value for the price.  

One place may have increased by 10 but that's hardly an issue. Plus, I'm not sure if that is across the board or just for the specific providers I recently saw.

That we raised our rates by $100 per hour once in 2016 and nothing since.

Price gouging sucks!

In all these years, I don't think I have ever seen a woman with any clout at all cut her rates in half or have any real cut at all albeit maybe a marginal one. Not saying it has never happened, as I don't follow every rate of every girl, but I have never seen it. Someone cutting their rates by 50% sounds like a move born out of desperation but I am not privy to the woman you speak of.

in Philly and NYC, I certainly haven't seen a move to the downside at all. Are you referring to verifiable, reviewed girls or just someone on eros or tryst no one know has verified yet? I cant account for that market. As for Indys, I am not seeing any downward movement of pricing at all but I haven't seen an increase recently either, by and large.

I am on X almost every day and I have not seen any providers saying this, so not sure.

The K-girl market has had about zero effect on pricing in the larger market. I think they cater to very different clientele.  

And LA is one of those places where attractive women concentrate, apparently because it will support higher pricing.

Way back in the day, a lady might offer a limited time "special", such as a discount on certain days or for return engagements. Haven't seen that in years.

When I was in DC I charged $400 and had no issues filling my dance card. I guess it would really depend on how much your fav was charging. If she was charging 1K + she probably was not getting as many bookings as she would have liked. I have said this to gals MANY times. When you get into that price point the pool of men that are going to inquire for your services is going to be smaller. Even if she cuts that in half to $500 she is going to be getting more inquiries. She would only need to get 20 appointments a month to make 10K. She could take one day off a week and a week off during shark week and she would be golden. She is much more likely to get more clients that will repeat with her at $500 than she will at $1,000. A guy may see a gal once to see what all the fuss is about for the $1,000 and see her once. At $500 he might book every month with her. So first scenario she makes $1,000 a year from said client. Second scenario she makes $6,000 a year from the same client. Repeat clientele is always what you want in this industry to be successful. Always.

I have seen some with 20-40% increases recently.  Not surprised cumulative inflation since 1/2019 is about 23%.

Wherever it is, it will be a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of the total number of providers. There will always be, in any economic environment, some providers who are slow. I, like Scarlett, am on twitter quite often and I haven't seen any mention of women saying it is slow.

But placing online posts about that topic aside for a moment, 420 said he hasn't seen any price decreases. Isnt that the more important metric? I am sure women talk about being slow from time to time, but do they ever really lower their rates en masse due to it? Or is it more of just a group complaint, to make them feel better in the moment, without it actually resulting in them lowering their rate? To me, with my experience, it has always been the latter.

I wish we could go back to the rate structures of 2018-19ish but I just don't think it's going to ever happen. What women tend to do is keep at bay any future price increases for a much longer time and I think that is more likely to be the case over the next few years, with one offs here and there of course.

Agency increases are lower and slower, but definitely happening for independents. Some girls jumped last year and earlier this year but it seems more and more are joining at the new "standard". In the large cities like NYC 1000 seems to be the new standard. And girls who used to be 1000 are now edging up to 1200 or 1500.

I can't blame them because general inflation has happened, and the rate cut that just enacted won't really impact prices for another few months. Also in NYC you're seeing the full effect of the Airbnb ban, with hotels jacking up all their prices which impacts incall rates. Once rates go up they rarely come down.

My salary has not increased at the same percentage so unfortunately it means I see less girls than I used to, and ones that I had on my tdl who were 600-800 range are now in my 1k tdl behind the others there previously.

Look, I have been in this biz since 1998.  And back then, gents were bitching about prices  It never ends.  I remember a lady named Morgan Ashley who was charging 500 per back in 2001.  People raised holy hell about it.  But she got it and she was very busy.

There will always be gents willing to pay whatever to see whomever.  U don't want to pay it, then don't.  Simple.

The women here do not owe any of us bargain pricing or in fact any particular price point. This is what a free market looks like.

in larger cities is the wider the potential customer base, the better chance they have to stay busy.  Staying in one place also allows time to develop a roster of regulars who will see a girl weekly or monthly.  Having regulars creates minimum cash flow that they can count on to meet basic expenses like rent.  Staying put allows providers to age along with their customers, so they can have a comfortable life with a certain amount of financial security.  I knew some girls that have semi-retired, which means they are not accepting new customers, but are living a comfortable life off of their loyal regulars.  

 
It's hard for touring girls to keep very many regulars, even by returning to the same cities on an annual rotation.  Overhead is usually higher for touring girls, but it still beats staying in their hometown when business is slow.  Many mongers are always on the lookout for the "new girl," and will line up to see touring girls when they hit town, but these kinds of customers don't usually become regulars, so touring girls keep touring.

People are always complaining about escalating prices especially when it involves the same good or service.  Prior to the pandemic, it was about $500-600 a night to stay at the Ritz in Laguna.  Now $1000-1200.  Same room, same grounds, same service.  The real issue is whether standard prices of $800-1000/hr are sustainable.  I don't agree that there are always gents that will continually pay whatever it takes.  I expect that the future will be a multiple pricing regime.  One price on the web site, another on HX and a differing one on p411.  Depending on how business is going you pay the top price or the lower one.  

The drop in touring is also probably because numerous touring-related agencies were shut down, either forced or voluntarily. Their prices used to be fairly reasonable but what's left now are expensive touring independents, who are in high demand in bigger cities and facing higher hotel and living costs (hotels are becoming cartels with rigged pricing).  

Couple that with retiring locals and younger girls going the Onlyfans route and you get a perfect storm for big price increases.

Yes prices are up for those who meet with clients.

There are several offering more much lower rates but their only contact information is an onlyfans account.  You have to pay to subscribe to their OF before you can message them there.  Of course I don't.  BTW, the last I heard,  OF has a policy against using their system to arrange meetings in real life.  

One I tried to contact has their text number auto-reply promoting their OF.

I also saw one or two who had no contact information at all, lol.

I have never complained about what a provider charges for sharing her precious body with clients, my only complaint is the new ladies who want to charge the same price     That a top tier provider charges,And don’t offer GFE, if I’m paying 800.00 for the hour I expect GFE, actually I expect GFE at 500.00…Lol but most providers who charge 500.00 don’t do GFE, at least in Colorado, I’m not a cheap guy, I have paid 1500 to 1800 before and have a date with a pornstar next month for 2000, this will be the most I have ever paid, it’s crazy how things have really changed when I first got in the hobby a guy could get a GFE session for 250 to 300 easily now for 500 it’s mostly a non GFE session.

I see a lot of GFE for 500 and less. Sometimes significantly less.

Down in Miami they have only gone up. Even in the last few months I've seen them continue to go up. Some girls have lowered their rates but not many. One white girl that was asking for 800 went down to 600. Her body is slim but really nothing special but other girls have only gone up in rates.

Another thing I've noticed is most decent looking girls do not go below 600. Any touring Brazilian starts at 600 these days, 500 if you're lucky. Pre-pandemic you could get them for 300-400. They've doubled their rates.

Average is up along with everything else. I prefer longer sessions so less affected. There are a few diamonds who are at lower rates. I particularly pay attention to Vegas rates. Tiny Allie and Monique Sato are fantastic at the low end of high end ladies.

but those who overvalue themselves? Not so much.

Hi gang!   I hope everyone is doing well now that autumn has arrived!   I saw this ongoing, persistent discussion/topic, and had to chime in based upon what I have been seeing and observing over on  Twitter/X these past couple months.....

When it comes to MULTI-HOUR, longer sessions and dates .... the PER HOUR price of many providers (especially the so-called high end or "ELITE" providers) actually continues to be about the SAME as it has been for the past several years, with only modest increases.  

Many providers have raised the price on that initial, SINGLE first hour (and the subsequent 2nd hour too in many cases, but have only slightly increased the per-hour rate/price of longer multiple hour sessions/dates.  The reason and strategy behind this is very obvious.    The Provider is trying to have MORE longer, multi-hour "quality" dates and fewer short 1 hour "quickies".      I can't blame them......as we all know the provider's expense and time required to prepare for a 1 hour date and a 3-4 hour date is essentially the same.    

of course, for the majority of clients,  who are NOT wealthy, and who generally only book 1 (or maybe 2) hour dates, this is causing it to appear as though "prices are spiraling  out of control"!   But as many others have pointed out in this thread, IF someone is willing to do the research and leg work, they can identify and book providers who are still in their price range, while also still being of good quality (i.e. NOT "train Wrecks".)

Bottom line, a significant number of good, elite high end providers are committed to a "QUALITY over QUANTITY"  approach to their business in general.   They would rather have 2 or 3 clients per week who book a 4 hour dinner date, at 2000 dollars for the 4 hours (2-3 X $2000 = $4000-6000 per week, which extends to 200,000-300,000 per annum)   instead of 10 clients per week who book 1 hour "romps" at 700-800 per hour, which extends to $7000 per week or roughly 350,000 per annum.....)    You can see the PROFIT Margin is so much higher on the Longer extended date scenario.     Of course, my illustration is OVER-simplified for the purpose of discussion, but you can clearly see what's happening here.

I’m going to riff off Respectful Robert, Willy Wonka & Lester Prarie’s replies... and answer Willy's question with a deep-dive on the recent economics of the Hobby, through the lens of a). 2021 thru late-2023 as well as b). The last 6-months.  
I’ve waited two-weeks to post this, to be respectful of the shorter posts. But I have a lot of economy-related thoughts. I’m not trying to contradict or diminish anyone’s personal experiences, and even though I track everything, it's still just relative to my experiences. If you want the cliff-notes version... just read the Summation, immediately below...  

and, totally off topic, I do deeply appreciate QueenBia, her Sister and BeccaBlossoms for the spirit and positivity they bring to TER, the Hobby and every room they walk into. I love the Win-Win and I love Friends who love the Win-Win!  
but back to rates and the larger economy...  

SUMMATION:
I’m in a small, southern market: Knoxville, TN. But I interact with a). Advertising-providers, UTRs & SBs in Knoxville and b). Touring-pros from across the country... both as they Tour or FMTY/DMTY into Knoxville or I happen to visit their home-city, especially in Chicago, Denver, LA, Orlando, Cleveland, NYC, Miami, Detroit, Phoenix, NYC, etc. BTW, I’ll simply refer to all ladies as ‘Friends’... it’s one of my things.

I have noticed/tracked the following...  
1). May 2021 – late-2023: 2-plus years of significant inflation in new-Client Rates, starting meaningfully in May 2021 and eventually even impacting grandfathered-Client Rates, by spring-2023; however
2). Since May 2024, I have observed a statistically-noticeable sea-change: a). Considerable Rate Stabilization, across the board, b). A few Slight-Decreases in Local Friend’s Rates, c). Regular Touring Friends offering Specials for Favored Clients (YMMV), d). Regular Touring Friends offering Discounts or Extra-days for Favored FMTY Clients (YMMV), and e). Some Younger, Newer Friends Starting with Rates I would, personally, consider wildly under-valued; see some of my more recent Reviews; I have more than 50 in the last 4-years.  

That was the end of the SUMMATION; but please read-on; however, but be warned, I do love Economics and the Hobby!

FWIW, REFERENCE-POINTS and DEEPER-THOUGHTS:
My conclusions are only based on May 2024 thru Oct 2024, and I’m only talking about Independent Friends.  
Further, I’ve been a Hobbyist for 40-years and my experience with Friends, over the last 7-10 years... Starts at $350/hr... Averages $750/hr... Goes considerably higher and includes multi-day FMTYs & DMTYs.

PROSPERITY for ALL:  
To be clear, I want everyone in the Hobby and SW to prosper and succeed; and just as much as I don’t want Hobbyists to get Scammed or Robbed... and I’m only talking real Scams here... I likewise do want to see all my lady-Friends do well and continue doing well, as they have and do share with me more than I could ever give them!

LAGGING-INDICATORS of DISCRETIONARY SPENDING:  
I have long-held that the Hobby and Friend’s Rates are, like the secondary-market for Luxury Watches, a lagging-indicator of available-to-spend, discretionary-income; aka... Discretionary Spending.  
In general, over the last 9-months, the secondary-market for luxury watches has tracked significantly downwards at approximately 45%, against the 2023 peaks. In other words, when comparing non-Rolexes, an average Patek Philippe, Omega, Breitling or AP value on the secondary Market, from 2018 to 2020 to 2023 to Today, might look like this: 2018: $2,000 to 2020: $1,400 to 2023: $4,000 to Today: $2,200.

Similarly, with Provider Rates you might see 2018: $450/hr. to 2020: $300/hr. to 2023: $850/hr. to Today: $675/hr. (YMMV).    
 
This is very-simply nothing more than a). The impact of the COVID-stimulus on the larger economy between 2021 & 2023, b). Driving Demand, Swamping Supply & predictably Creating Hobby-Inflation... c). Propelled by Pre-existing Hobbyists Spending More and d). Amplified by so many New Hobbyists Getting-into and Addicted-to the Hobby.  
But that stimulus-era euphoria has all but vanished.

4 IMPORTANT CAVEATS:
1). Both a Gold, Rolex Submariner and Mia L'Amour's Rates are always going to Trend-Up at a Premium; Mia’s Rates being the lady-Friend equivalent of a Gold, Rolex Submariner, at least in my Friend-sphere; aka... a Ferrari-class Unicorn of the highest-magnitude  
2). I have likewise noticed that Friends who Never Increased Rates aren’t Decreasing or offering Specials and
3) Watches are fun, whereas the Hobby can be addicting , which is why Provider-Rates won’t decrease as much as luxury-watches on the secondary market
4). Saying that the stimulus-era euphoria has vanished is different than saying it’s Slow... and it certainly doesn't speak to the never-ending demand for Quality Friends... even if they aren't Gold, Rolex Submariner Providers

THE ONLY-FANS EFFECT: I have plenty of lady-Friends who employ the O-F platform in their business-model, in various different ways; but while O-F is definitely SW, it is a separate economic eco-system from the Hobby, more akin to YouTube or TikTok than the Hobby, and that’s neither good or bad, it simply is.  
But just like all eco-systems impact other, immediately-adjacent eco-systems, O-F certainly impacts the Hobby & traditional Providers. But not all information about O-F should be taken at face-value, in the least... ensure you have lots of salt-grains when taking-in O-F information again, neither good or bad, it simply is.

Most specifically, you will see O-F influencers doing what all influencers do... positioning how they ‘Win @ O-F’ in the best possible light... for maximum eyeballs and monetization on not only O-F but also YouTube, TikTok, X, etc.; but don’t misunderstand my point, I’m a hardline Capitalist, so God Bless ’em!  
However, God Bless ’em! or not... neither traditional Hobbyists or Providers should be thrown-off by O-F influencers promoting unrealistic impressions about how much or for how long they have sustained certain, potentially unrealistic income-levels.

Just like there are Gold, Rolex Submariner Providers who charge and receive $1,200/hr. - $2,000/hr. and more... there are absolutely Gold, Rolex Submariner SWs on O-F, making a killing... there just aren’t many who have sustained that on O-F for more than 1-2 years; because content-creation is hard and exhausting.  
My point is simply this, everyone should be especially cautious of confusing a new O-F influencer, attempting to charge $1,200/hr. for their escort-rates, with there being lots of new-Providers actually receiving outlandish rates. Again, in the last 6-months alone, in 3 different states, I’ve seen 4 different new-Providers charging under $500/hr. that I would have gladly paid $800/hr. to see; due to their looks, figure and personality!

I feel like you should get a prize if you’ve actually read to this point!

Yup.  Read the whole thing and appreciate the depth and accuracy of your analysis. Would only add that body type seems to influence price, perhaps more than ever.  Slim / spinners seem to still command higher prices while others have stabilized a bit more.  

I look on Tryst in Chicago and there are close to a hundred providers with listed rates over $1000 and most of them want large deposits as well.   This is far more than even a year or two ago.  I have no idea who would spend that kind of money and I wish everyone well, but I will take a pass.  

I love what I do and I need to survive so my rates stay the same...

But what’s happening is a lot of escorts are using two personas on different sites.  
There are SO many ad sites now that it’s easier to get away with.  
If you guys would start reporting the scam accounts it would benefit all of us.

Yes retired but now back business failed to launch...

They do not want to devalue the brand they have built up, so they sell the same thing under another name at a lower price in order to capture the volume.   It's standard marketing practice.  You can buy a can of Redi-whip for six dollars, but the same exact thing is in a different can for a dollar less as the store's "house" brand.   It's still made by the same company.    I have actually had two occasions where I booked a provider I thought I didn't know and when I arrived, she was a girl I had already seen under another name at a slightly higher rate.       She said she knew it was me when she booked me, but I didn't know it was her until I got there.  Awkward at first, but a good laugh in the end.
