Im debating given up hobbying even though Im new to it. ""Excuse my grammar in this debate my new keyboard is acting weird" Now lets debate prices.
Most decent looking girls charge from 150-300
$ per hour and you usual only get to finish once.
Now if I take a girl out to dinner 3 times
or take 3 girls out to dinner one time to increase my odds of getting laid, and each dinner ranged from 50-70 bucks. this means it will cost me between 150-210. now the one chick
who sleeps with me will probably spend the night
or a few hours and I will get to finish more than once.
so regualr chick 150-210 for several hours of sex
provider equals 150-300 for one hour. The regular chick you get cheaper sex per hour.
Now I would think that guaranteed sex from the provider which is not guranteed by the regular chick, because since providers charge they usually dont care about chemistry or attractions which gives the man/hobbyist more choices of woman
but in the hobby once you eliminate girls for prices, attractiveness outcall incall locations/accomodations,
TGBT, sexual limitations,police decoys, violent pimps. you have a smaller pool of girls for sex
out of a 20 ads i usually only end up with 3-5 possible girls to purchase for rent
If I hit on/date 20 woman even a guy like me is atleast gonna get 3-5 woman to say yes even if it just pity sex.

It's really not the same thing. Paying for sex has as much to do with the no-strings aspect as anything else. Also, you may look like Brad Pitt but I certainly don't. I'm not a rock star and I'm not loaded either. That being said if $300 gets a really hot woman in my bed for an hour-a woman that wouldn't give me the time of day otherwise, I'm good with that. I've been single for about 18 months now and I have yet to boink a civvie who is as good as beautiful or as good in the sack as my ATF...

Good point about guys being married. Most of the time you don't have to worry about provider calling and asking to you come over in the middle of the night like a civie does.
I have found out that is very hard to see multiple civies on the side when married. Very easy to see up dates with multiple providers during different days of the week.
I've known some guys, due to their appearance, where the girls pay to go out with them. So, you have to factor in your appearance, and how honest you're going to be that the only reason you're taking the civic date out to dinner, is to get in her pants, and you have no intentions of getting to know each other, and develop a relationship. If you can't be honest, in that regard, your in for some headaches that would have been more cheaply avoided by seeing a provider.
This is why providers are so convenient. We are paying them to come over, but at the same time we are paying them to LEAVE. As they want to anyway when the fun is over.

I'm married to a woman who has given up on any physical relationship and I have no plans to contact a lawyer any time soon so I have no choice but to hobby if I want any kind of physical relationship with a woman.
Having said that, if I were separated or divorced I would be dating again without a doubt. I know of several woman who I believe would be more than willing to give it a go with me, some even with NSA, but only if I were not married.
I have had a few offers and opportunites in the civilian world over the past few years from home wreckers, but have stayed clear since I am not willing to have someone call my wife and spill the beans and then go down the divorce road, at least not at this point. Time will tell.
If I could find a married woman in the same place as I am in my marriage and she was willing to have an civilian NSA physical relationship I would do it, but good luck with that search.

That is the best thing about the hobby or casual affairs in the civial world, having a half naked woman around to hang around with. I love pillow talk and just being silly or having some laughs and grabing a bite to eat between rounds, it doesn't get any better than that.

I owned a condo comples in Dallas many years back, the goal was to flip the units, but the market was too bad to sell, so I ended up being a landlord. I had about thirty strippers as tenants and I swear virtually every one of them had some deadbeat, meth head, biker boyfriend that took every penny they made. It was one in a dozen that got to keep any money for themselves. It was actually kind of sad to watch.
I always preferred cocktail waitresses to strippers, they are by and large every bit as good looking and a lot less drama and maitenence.

Having secured dates (not sex, but dates) with literally hundreds of civie women ... I can unambiguously say yes, it is far less expensive.
But I do not think a per-sex-act comparison is reasonable. In civie life women (at least good ones) provide a helluva lot more than sex. A LOT more. And often things of incalculable value.
Many many providers here stress that what they provide is purely fantasy. I do NOT believe it is fantasy in all cases; but it is certainly fantasy in many if not most.
Comparing reality (civie gf) to fantasy (fantasy provider or even TV ladies) is stupid.

Either seems to be fine with most guys. In the hobby, if you choose one of those three "girls," hopefully you will get experience and enthusiasm, (or at least feigned enthusiasm). All of them are paid to go away and leave you alone until you call them to come back again. Most of them will do that, if you tell them that is what you want. You can taste as many ladies as you want, with no repercussion, as long as you are discreet and treat them all well.
If you choose one of those other twenty, or even five of the other twenty outside the hobby, you are probably going to get enthusiasm. With that enthusiasm will come a clingy desire to see you again. You will have to say "yes" a lot. You will have to say "I am sorry" a lot. You might have to buy presents, and clothing and take her out to eat.
Then there will be expectation of a ring or other expensive jewelry, a home, and a probably a car, depending upon the level of looks and f*ckability of the lady in question. Try telling your wife or girlfriend to go away and come back when you are horny or lonesome. How much do you value your family jewels? Oh, and speaking of family jewels, what do you think is going to happen when she finds out you've been f*cking the other nineteen girls too?
There are no bargains, and nothing in life is free. This from a former wife and girlfriend who has mended her errant ways. Of course, there is a positive side to it all. If you are not afraid of commitment, and if you really find a sweet lady, go for it. Otherwise, stick the best. We know how be the best temporary girlfriends.

I book providers a lot more often than "every weekend" lol As I look at fifty in my rearview mirror, I have come to accept the fact that getting twenty somethings into my bed the old fashioned way is not going to be something I can do on a regular basis.

How much time you spend together, what does she look like, hell you can learn what she's like in bed before you even meet her, try doing that on a civie date!
In the end it's apples and oranges, a matter of personal preference, the two worlds are so different and, as many have noted, as you age you find you don't command the vast selection you used to when you were hot beefcake *sigh*
I have had more fun, met more beautiful women in the past year of hobbying than in the 15 years prior to that in the civvie world. I know a couple ladies now that I usually see quite often. No damn drama (or, if there is, I see them no more) like all the civvies seem to have. In my younger years I could try to set up several dates and hope to get lucky. Now, it's just a phone call to set up a time. No having to buy dinner, take her to a show, buy her flowers, take her home after and get a handshake or a thanks, but no thanks.
I'll stick with the hobby. They are great women all. (or, most of them, anyway!)
As a married guy my choices are limited when it comes to single women. I have been on sites such as aff. I lady got pissed and never saw me again when she found out I was married.

I have found that providers are more reliable than civies. You spend more effort in terms of time to get civies. You have to be in good shape and attractive for them to be interested in you.

I suspect it also depends on the desired end-game of your dating. If you're just looking for some NSA fun, then hobbying is the way to go financially and every other way known to man. As has been said here by others, it's a (relatively) sure thing. If your goal of dating is to find "the one", then by all means pursue that exclusive of hobbying.

I think there is generational rift. I am in my mid 20's where alot of girls my age work and have their own money. so the cost of dating its not nearly is much as it use to be just a dinner and maybe a movie, and alot of new age woman split the dating cost 50/50 so alot of times depending on how attractive a guy is. he doesnt reallu have to pay.
and because of casual sex promoted by MTV alot of young girls have no problem having casual sex with NSA.
but i guess this whole debate deoends on how wold you are how attractive you are,and how much free sex one has access to.
Taylor you are correct about the cost component of dating vs hobbying, to be very much age-range related, but here is the caveat: How many "young ones" do actually need to hobby?! I mean, if you are in your 20's, then you should be able to get "some" rather easily among your own peers by way of casual hook-ups, without the need to resort to hobbying. Most hobbiests are married (not getting into the reasons as it has been discussed ad nauseam)and look for NSA encounters.
I had just presumed that the OP was implying to an age range of 40 to 50, give or take a few on either side. Bottomline: if you are in this age-range and are seeking fun & NSA type of encounters, pony up the $$$ do your DD and have your fun by doing safe hobbying. Otherwise, if looking for stacking up on the emotional pile (or slide down the emotion's slope), go have a LTR and a real GF, if you have what it takes to attract women and keep them on an emotional level.
Relationships always end up in the gutter, so enjoy them while they are fresh

it all depends. Nothing is free. There are pluses and minus to both. You are just focusing on sex so lets just stay in that area. You just have to choice what factors are most important to you. I do both but one thing I like about the hobby is I do not break anyone heart and life is simplier in many ways. I have gone with one provider over two years over 50 times. I get more than one hour but we spent a lot of that time on dinner, talking about things. we know more about each over than many GFs. We talk outside of the work enviroment. It works well for me. For you maybe not?
