I'm not even sure why I'm posting this other than I feel like the happiest mother fucker in the world this morning!

Seriously guys... is this hobby awesome or what! I find myself working harder during the week so my hobbying doesn't suffer due to my expendable income not being where it needs to be. Then I make more money and do more hobbying... it's a good circle to be running in!

Are any of you guys out there on the same happy page?

I sure can't think of anything better than this.  I wish they taught us this in school, so we wouldn't have to go through the girlfriend and wife stages.  Had it not been for those mistakes, my expendable income right now would have been much larger.

I too have limited funds and I still find a way to hobby. Sorry Magic if we're not all rich. I'm not going to jeperdize my family or anything but I have picked up shifts and done odd jobs to support my hobby. So what we're all tricks in the providers eyes.

............if the one and only road-racing track in my area had not closed down, it is unlikely that I ever would have taken up this hobby.  I don't golf, and I have long ago lost my passion for big-wave windsurfing.  When I had the track, I had a passion that I thought about every day and devoted considerable time and money to.  Without it, my ultra-capable car is just a painful and expensive reminder that I simply cannot do with it what I would like to be doing.  It was the void of no longer having a passion that led me to take up the hobby of passion.

Thanks to those who had my back on that one guys response, holy shit, relax dude, maybe you should get some pussy... even mrfisher jumped in, which is pretty cool! Only one hater... I like those odds... actually to the genuinely concerned I'm still going to be able to eat lunch all week! The working harder part is a good thing for me, I make my living with my brain, so working harder for me means working smarter and staying focused... and when I'm focused on pussy... life is good!!!

he did say he needed more play money. I have a slush fund myself for shoe shopping which has been very low since so many beautiful boots have been on sale the last few weeks.

If he mentioned he needed that overtime money to pay his bills then maybe he might have a problem but working overtime to play in the hobby is a sound way to partition your income. Only he knows if he is having problems meeting his monthly expenses which was not mentioned here.

Exactly!  You have just validated my whole approach.  I suck at the dating scene.  It's frustrating and a waste of time and money, at least for me.  I also think being with a courtesan is a much more honest interchange...and also hot as hell.

He problaby feels better then the guy who just spent $500 to shoot 110 on 18 holes.  I know he feels better then my buddy that blew up his $8000 racing motor this weekend, first race.  Don't even get me started on stamps and player cards.  Point is all hobbies require a degree of self control if you truly love them.  If I could quit my job and hobby full time I would.  But I still have to work to pay for many things, so should I stop hobbling because I still have to work.  Sounds to me like a hobbyist being smart financially and putting extra time in so he can have extra play.  What wrong with that!  Now if he was only playing more that might be a problem.  Either way it doesn't affect you the slightest bit.
