Not the worst way to pass the time or procrastinate...

so Im on my way home just now and I was reading my ter mail while I was driving I look up and I seriously almost rear ended the car in front of me please tell me I'm not the only one that's almost ever got into a car accident while on (Ter) also please tell me im not the only one laughing about that.

I simply don't have the dexterity to text and drive. I sometimes have a hard enough time texting or posting from my phone while sitting in my office

First, couldn't keep my eyes on the road
Second, would be laughing too hard and run off the road
Third, since I'm constantly out-linking to check out posters web sites, my hardon would often interfere with steering.

Careful girl! We don't want to lose you!
OK, I would definitely say you are addicted!
But I am guilty of reading TER on my phone in my car too. Usually only at long stoplights though.

driving while texting or surfing is no laughing matter.

This is a very interesting group of people, even the trolls and nitwits.

First, because the hobby is expensive, none of the people are dirt poor.

Second, I kook for common traits. For instance I find it interesting that none of the people on this board seem superstitious. There is seldom a post that includes phrases like, "Every time I do such and such and such I know I'll have bad luck," or, "On the way to see so and so and so, I saw a ghost!"

Many of the people here make or made their money through working with financing, or in some way dealing with numbers.

Providers seem to dream of either becoming CEOs, marrying CEOs, of having a CEO as a client. I find that strange. CEOs seem to be the new Prince Charmings.

Even the dumbest people on this board seldom make certain logic errors that are more common in other circles. Example: Nobody here would say, "I've walked around my neighborhood all day and have not seen a single butterfly. That means there are no butterflies in my neighborhood."

The way people bond selectively, and what they get angry about follows certain patterns, some of which I would never have predicted.

Abstract thought is lost on many of the people unless it is carefully couched in very concrete patterns. Few people incorporate doing into the thought process. It seems they can't think outside their skulls. This surprised me.

Most people on this board have no great respect for contracts, even though they enter into them frequently. That's not true of all, but as far as I can determine, it seems true of over half of the people on the board at any one time.

There are other aspects that I'm still observing, and have come to conclusion about.

If so, you may need to get out more and interact with some real live breathing humans.

Seems to me most hobbies are expensive.  I can attest to that on many levels  LOL  Yet many people with very limited resources seem to find ways to fulfill their hobby needs, simply on a scale that works for them.  This game is no different IMHO.  For example I can play golf at my local Forest Preserve course for $ 35...or play the exact same game at my expensive club for $ 500.  Honestly I prefer the $ 35 round to lose 15 balls vs. paying $ 500 to lose those same balls  LOL

What exactly is a CEO?  Seems to me that anyone who is self-employed on any level calls themselves a CEO.  And technically they're correct.  It may not matter that they are only making $ 1,350 a year as the CEO of an online distribution company that is nearly bankrupt.  Honestly, it seems those that simply "do" are those most likely to be a CEO in charge of significant monies and responsibilities.  Those folks don't need to broadcast how "important" they are.

And I'm curious what you are suggesting by "Most people on this board have no great respect for contracts, even though they enter into them frequently".  Assuming that you mean that either party simply will not honor an agreement in P4P...I haven't found that to be the case by a long shot.  Perhaps we simply frequent very different circles?

Maybe you should try a little less obsessing on verbiage designed to titillate, and meet some real folks in this game.

Just a thought  ;)

Bypass this: all traditionally married men are probably welcoming on the marriage contract just by participating.

No, I'm not talking about haggling, but when you contract for an hour and the hour is up, you don't complain that the ad promised a non-rushed session when asked to leave. There are other examples regarding not doing the work when work is no longer fun ( work contracted to be completed). And stuff like that.

On the CEO, I sort of agree that any entrepreneur is a CEO, but in a corporate sense, publicly owned, it has a different. I'm sure providers have a great time when athletes and movie folk book, but that's seldom what they seem to long for.

Please don't take any of this personally. Like I said, I'm observing the community.

I guess you must considering your comments as such.

Enjoy your musings here...but try not to take much, if any of this seriously.

I can see why the gals might take things seriously as this is how they pay their bills...and few if any are seeing actors or athletes LOL

verbiage designed to titilate"

excellent response ,  because that's exactly what it was

many in the TER community are, both hobbyists and providers alike. I guess it makes sense; a lot of the guys are old and rich or old and desperate, and a lot of the girls are just trying to make a buck.

...but it's not an original statement: "The free sex revolution didn't work. When you take the clothes off Puritans, you get pornography."
