so if you are against guns, why dont you take the guns out of the hands of our military and see what happenes. plenty of people own guns and dont hurt anyone. usually the ones that do cause harm, either did it fully within their own right to defend themselves or family, or are nut jobs that often arent even legally allowed to own them ( with the slip through the cracks crazies mixed in too). i own 3. one stays in my bedroom, one in my car, and one in the other end of the house. they are never taken out. but when they finally are, i feel a little bad for the poor bastard that broke in/tried to rob me/whatever the case may be.

To add, Alcohol is a social relaxer. Purpose of alcohol is to have fun. Sure some people will abuse it. But the purpose of guns is to kill another human being.

There are approximately 40 gun accidents each year. There is approximately 40,000 fatal car accident each year.  There are more chances of death when driving a car than going to a gun range.
Gun range is the safest place for hobbyist enjoy the favorite hobby; shooting.  Also this is the safest place for an escort to meet a hobbyist.
