The word seems to only be used when wanting to put a woman down.  (Though I suppose it is also used ironically by a woman to refer to herself as one who is seen that way by society, but doesn't give a shit.)

Adult people should be able to have sex with whomever they want, when they want, and for the reasons they want without having to experience judgement from others.  

By the same token, they should be free to not have sex under the same circumstances.

I have a male partner that I was very dominant with the other day. Restrained his arms and legs, "forced" him to please me over and over again while also bringing him to the point of ejaculation multiple times but stopping before he could find release.  All while calling him "my slut."

And I agree, there is something liberating about it.  I have never been that dominant before and was surprised at how much I liked assuming that role.
