information on everyone for years. Random folks read and collect every interaction your making. If you have a problem with it, don't use the internet.

The best thing to do is not have any communication online that you wouldn't share with the rest of the world.

There are ways around everything if you're clever.

Mass surveillance is only good for the 90% of people who don't care, and it's much easier to cast a wide net than to catch a fish with a longbow.

The big problem with "big data" tech (of which law enforcement is a huge customer) is that the algorithms to make sense of the data are only so good, so they're tossing out a significant amount of what they collect as unusable noise. I say tossing out because they're not considering it, but know that they're keeping ALL of the data they collect indefinitely.

What this means for you and I is that currently, the game of cat and mouse favors a smart mouse, but if you won't commit to trying to further yourself as a smart mouse, you'll get caught eventually and have your gmail messages read aloud in front of a jury because the cat got smarter.

For now, proton mail is sufficient. Use a burner phone or a burner app. Turn your phone off and put it in a electrostatic safe bag (ie foil lined, sometimes sold as "RFID safe") if you take it to an appointment. Use encrypted message services like Signal when you can.

The further in the dark you can operate, the better off you are long-term.

non of which pertain to me. The're are ways indeed, but we have all been along this path. As an aside, anybody notice that ter has become more and more irrelevant? Hope they decide to make drastic changes soon, like bringing reviews back.

My father told me about 60 years ago to never write anything that you would not want to have read out loud in a court.  I agree with BBbecky.

Dear ProtonMail Community,

We want to give everyone an update regarding the connectivity issues some of you may have experienced recently. Over the past couple of days ProtonMail has been under extremely heavy DDoS (Distributed-Denial-of-Service) attack.

During these incidents, some users may have experienced intermittent connectivity problems or delays sending/receiving emails. We are working closely with engineers at Radware, our DDoS protection provider, to resolve these issues. At this time, the attacks are still continuing.

Despite the intermittent connection problems, no emails were lost, no data was lost, and no data was breached. In any case, we utilize zero-access encryption which keeps your emails secure even in the event of a breach.

While ProtonMail defends against DDoS and other cyber attacks on a daily basis, the attacks we faced this week posed a particularly difficult challenge because it is a new type of DDoS from a previous unknown network of compromised devices. To assist in the attack mitigation effort, we have partnered with F5 Networks to help deal with this new threat.

it's supposed to be provider friendly and has some features for providers. You could look into it.

I use Protonmail and got the same e-mail from them you posted here. I didn't have any issues but I don't use mine like a provider would so possibly just didn't happen to try to send anything during the trouble they were having. It's my "hobby" e-mail and I only use it for initial contact. Haven't done much of that lately.

If you think of it let us know what you find out and if you do choose to use it let us know how you like it. I'm sure there are others that are looking for e-mail alternatives.

Whatever the hell his name is. I know because I can see algorithms popping up on my phone in many different areas that were not communicated in those areas. That's All Digital. I wish I could find the website where you can erase all of your history out of your phone. There is a storage of every voice text you've ever made by date. You can go into it and listen to yourself talking. It's insane! If I find the link I will post it.

I don't personally think anybody is looking for us individually, but at the same time it's good to be safe. So if I find the link, which is been difficult to do lately I will post it as a thread. And then have instructions on how to delete it all

Hillary Clinton did it, why can't we? LOL!

My booking address is safe office which is hosted offshore and manage offshore. But I use a proton mail. Ch for everything else. Apparently it's secure, but at the same time it's a little bit of a hassle because a lot of the mail is going to junk nowadays. So if you have protonmail, check your junk folder. If you have any mail check your junk folder. If you're not getting responses, a lot of people are using protonmail. So it's great to check your junk folder just in case.

Redundant as fk but protonmail is actually a really good thing. I think both users need to be using it.

Hope everybody finds a safe, secure way to do things. This industry is needed by both sides, let's hope we can continue having great experiences. Love to all
