When potential client questions my screening for him because I use a G number, I just point to my reviews, long standing social media presence, blah blah blah. And many times such questions end up feeling like a projection since my screening of him ends with a thumbs down decision.

From both POVs, what type of number it is and the history it has (or lack thereof), is just another indicia in our respective screening processes. #imho

How do you know if someone is using their actual phone number, or a phone number app? What app or software do you use to detect this? Do you care if someone does? Many providers use number apps...and many hobbyists do.

But some providers have decided men aren't allowed to? A burner phone from target doesn't make the guy any safer for a girl to see.

I simply don't care, not even a little bit.

If she has reviews, I already know she is not LE, she is not going to run out the back door with my money, and I already have pretty good idea what to expect. If she doesn't have reviews, having a "real" phone number is not going to make me feel any more at ease with her.

if it's a cell phone #, landline,
some kind of messenger,  WhatsApp, thru public or private Wi-Fi with or without VPN.

If you can still find a pay phone or one of those freeway phones. It doesn't matter.

Yikes, I just remember what my mom would say,
"just call me".  "call me collect" if you don't any have money.

Your mom never told ME that.   Lol

Ladies are now rejecting clients who use VOIP apps or sites. Are you using one? PM me if you want a site that checks, it’s free. Or search google eventually you’ll find one.

Im the master of rejection.

But npt by providers may I say.

I messaged you. I want more people to weigh in and give me more info. I am not technologically illiterate, nor am I a computer expert. I am...somewhere in between, where I know enough that I understand some things, but also understand that there is plenty I don't understand.

Its not free but its pretty ccheap per lookup.  Theyre basically the industry standard for looking up/verifying phone numbers
