I will be back shortly and give you my advice.
I respond to all maiden's questions in need.
They call me Algina the Mangina. Never mind about that, just listen to me.
This guy says he's not familiar with any of these hobbyist sites and has never seen an escort before and is in the military (Navy vet) and wants some "adult time" for himself. How do I proceed to screen him w/o scaring him lol if possible if he's not familiar w/ TER, preferred411, date-check, NR, etc.)? Thanks much.
or not take him...please do NOT potentially put yourself in harms way...your well being is not worth a couple hundred bucks my .02 cents
Waiting on TER to send me the info...it's been about a week. What other PO forums are there?
even discretely. BTW. There's no such thing as being a "Navy vet," or another other vet, and being in the military. Being a vet means you were once in the military.
Have him follow the same procedures that you have all other potential clients follow. If he refuses, he loses.
lol well he called himself a vet and I asked what branch of military and he said Navy. But yeah still hard to do if he's not on any verification boards.

who thinks it's a blast to add a period to my handle and use that as an alias.
How clever of you. I am so impressed.
I spent 3 year active army and 4 yrs national guard. You can call the company(military unit) and a low rank soldier will ussually answer. Verification enough. Soldiers are just employees also and there is no problem with contacting there companies. If he spaz's out then thats his problem.
Sounds easy enough...MUCH appreciated.
...while all things are possible and there IS a 'first time for everything,' a sailor who has never used a provider??? That, in and of itself, runs up the red flag.
I suppose you could ask for him to scan/fax and send you a copy of his ID Card (tell him to mask the SSN, no one in their right mind would send that!). Look closely to see if he is Navy or 'Navy Reserve.' A vice cop who is ALSO in the Navy Reserve could easily use his USNR ID to pose as a customer.

Lmao you know what I thought so too...I've seen hella guys that are currently in the Army (mmmm those are usually pretty cute and built good 'lawd lol), coast guard, marines, and even the Navy so the red flag-oh-that's-weird-military-guy-never-seen-a-provider feeling came across me which is why I thought to hit up you guys to see what others would say. Hmmm i'll ask about him scanning and sending me a copy of his ID and see how that flies.
I agree with the other ladies, either point him in the direction of a verification site or don't take him, it's not worth the risk.
Then join a provider only board

Dear Ms. Mocha:
Why don't you ask lady bj who is one of your colleagues? She certainly would know about service men since that is a large part of her business. You can email her at [email protected] to inquire about some of the things she does in the screening process with this particular customer base.
definitely will email her too...thanks
She wasn't too happy lol at least with you.
Dear Ms. Mocha:
But it is all in the way that you approached her. I spoke with her recently and she said that although I should of spoke with her prior to your contact, she was concerned with the way that you approached her on the subject although 9 time out of 10 she would be open to discussing her methods of verification with you. Please tend to use some tact and diplomacy when persuing these sensitive issues.
But what I noticed is you said he IS IN the military but is a Vet, implying he USED to be.
I'm making an assumption that he's young, If so the simplest thing could be to call for an employment check. It's common for car dealers, Sears credit dept, etc to call and verify employment before granting credit. Frequent moves and low salary for young sailors oft show up as low credit scores. Confirming they are active duty often allows the credit manager to bend the rules and grant the loan because of stable work.
should've said was lol but he says he's a vet of the navy. thanks on the advice
or date-check then I ask the gent to verify his employment. I used to sell cars for 4 years, was a mortgage officer for 2 years, and did Title & Escrow for a year before entering the hobby. I call human resources and ask to verify the gents employment. I don't get salary or anything, just how long he has worked there.
At least this way you know he's not gonna be bringing a set of hidden handcuffs... hopefully... but you are still taking a risk on whether or not the guy is a safe call and should have someone on stand by or use a safe call when you see him.
When I do screen i'd say it's fairly light but lol he hasn't so me thinks even asking his was he on any verification site should him so that's weird. I think he's off to find or has found someone "easier" to deal with as in won't even ask that question lol.
