This hasn't been asked in months, so let er rip! How do you score for your reviews? How do you come up with the second number? I see 10's given when the menu is covered with no's. Would love to see some venting on this.

My scoring:
Everyone starts at a 5
+1 BBBJ
+1 DFK
+1 Greek
+1 CIM
+1 for MSOG
+1 for overall enthusiasm.
+2 if she shows up with an unexpected hot and sexy friend who needs to learn the business...and I get to educate her. (YMMV on that. )

-1 for fake photos
-1 upsell
-1 lack of enthusiasm
-1 for scam or other uncalled for bizarre bs

Looks are usually a varied thing...I get that. It just seems to me that too many people are subjective and objective when the opposite applies.

First of all, far too many guys don't read the guidelines and post #s that are wrong.  Second, many guys want to please the girl they're reviewing (or are afraid of revenge for a score that's too low) so they bump her up.  This makes the entire numerical system subjective and corrupt.  The only way to use it well is to learn about the reviewers themselves, know whose #s you can trust and PM them for info to confirm.  I would prefer a system that had no numbers at all and no "Top 100."

But it's there. Perhaps TER should take the second number away and set the score based on the drop down menu.

At least they don't allow 9's and 10's for non gfe. Its a start but hardly gets you there.

Shit, I think I'm pretty generous. I'll give the point if its just offered. For instance I have a hard time with pop #2, but that's not her problem. If its offered, then its offered.

The numbers are essentially meaningless.  Even when I try to be as honest as I can, any number I give out for performance is heavily based upon chemistry, my state of mind walking in, how other things are going in my life, how long I've been anticipating seeing her, how our communication went before the date, etc.

The words and verbal deascription is far more significant for me.  What frustrated s me are three sentence reviews that tell me the ABCs but give no hint of her attitude and friendliness.

As to the original post, for me the score is never a laundry list of what is or is not on the menu.  Yes, I understand the rules and don't breal them, but for example an honest, enthusiastic smile and an attitude to have a mutually enjoyable evening is worth far more to me--and will get a higher rating--than a mechanical BBBJCIM with DFK and greek.

All numbers are misleading, some just more so than others.

Not at all fond of the rating system I like the top rated better . Back when TER was first around getting a 10 did not mean looking like Bo Derrick it meant that someone performed anal sex on a client.

unless I missed something.  But looks are only about the first "appearance" number, and anal (plus) other listed services) are about the second number re "performance."  Still, your post points out one example of the general confusion about the numerical system and it's many flaws.

The second score is supposed to be about "performance", not looks, but in practice that is not true.

I've done statistical correlations a number of times on the reviews and they track much more than they should.  If a guy had a great time, she also--in hindsight of writing the review--looked great.  If he had a bad time, she usually looked bad too.  There are relatively few 3/9s or 9/3s out there.  We men are far less objective than we like to give ourselves credit for.

Hasn't failed me yet.

I also stopped writing reviews for exactly many of the reasons you're looking for answers on.

A much better system is being developed somewhere...or so I hear  :D

And LR has posted today...but only as an advertisement for her return after the New Years.  Rumor has it she's co-hosting the New Years party at Times Square.  Apparently she has had a few requests to actually add some life to that party!
