sorry about that. Literally got called away by an emergency after I wrote the headline.  (I'm not missing a point, you can see mine every time I get a short hair cut.)
I meant to be serious. I have been a member a long time I have made some really good friends (Mr.Fisher remains one of the wisest most delightful friends I have ever had.)
I have spent time with some of the most charming beautiful women I have known. I have enjoyed reading everyone's ideas and am struck by the sophistication and intelligence of most of  the members.  And I have had the chance to give some people good medical information and reassurance (even spending personal time with a dying member during his last hours of life at Temple Hospital.
Aside from everything, and how ever it turns out, I am grateful for all of this.

People come and go. If you made any effort to cultivate a relationship, it should still be there (aside from the dead guy at Temple Hospital). Mr. Fisher is still here.  Probably, so too are many of the ladies you've met over the years.

The only thing missing is the 1 in 10 (being generous here) useful or truly humorous post.

I miss some of the ladies that I met and had great sessions with, but a couple I keep in contact with even though they're retired from providing. I  say the same about old college friends and work colleagues. As for current hobby activities now compared to a year ago, not much change. If anything, a slight increase in variety. But people say that I'm just lucky in life.

This was a fun place to be. There was no other site around as big as TER.  Maybe it will be again.

Yes, that is exactly the point,  In my late 70s there have been times when things have changed radically and in thinking about them and the value and friendships and experiences they have brought, I realize what they have meant. When I began my relationship with TER, I never imagined how this very private activity would touch my life and emotions and I am grateful for it.

Who came in?
.
(Just another Three Stooges line:
Official: Gentlemen!
Stooges (looking all around): Who came in?
Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk.)
.
(Did you ever want to sneak into the office and broadcast, "Calling Dr. Howard, Dr. Fine, Dr. Howard!" over the PA system?)

That short was nominated for an Academy Award, the Stooges only film to be so honored.

the late great John Candy wrote a great biography of them.  You should snag a copy of it.

L&H were mere Babes in Toyland. I would think that Dr. joe could better relate to medical professionals, such as Hugo Z. Hackenbush.
.
I'm Dr. Hackenbush
My medical standing's very high
Well anyways, ladies and gentlemen I
Am Dr. Hackenbush
.
I've won a claim for curing ills, both in the north and south.
You'll find my name just like my pills in everybody's mouth.
I've never lost a case (he's never lost a case!)
I've lost a lot of patients but I've never lost a case.
.
My diagnosis never fails, I know just what to do.
Whenever anybody ails, I'm sympathetic, too.
My heart within me melts (his heart within him melts!)
No matter what I treat them for, they die from something else.
