There is an LA based agency with the Eros ID "la-ssj1-insertgirlsname here" this "agency" has put up many adds from LA all the way to D.C. for the sole purpose of "baiting and switching", "snatching and running", or in many cases both.

In almost all cases the pics in the add eventhough it in many cases sit ays "Eros Verified" is not the lady that will show up at your door. The lady that shows up at your door responded to a print add in some local paper about an LA based agency looking for women to work as Escorts in there area, and that the money was easy. The deal is that the "agency" asks the girl for a  deposit (the cost of an eros ad)a phone number and a name to put in an eros ad in her area and just wait for the calls to start coming in. The girl in return is expected to send the cost of the add per month back to the Agency (a P.0. box) plus a percentage depending on the area that she is in. If the money keeps showing up in the mail the ad says up. In every situation that I have read about, girls from this "agency" do not actually provide any services to clients what they do, do is show up ask for a dollar amount, then take the money and leave.

Eros sites in some areas have created seperate "agency" sections to put these adds in as they are worded like ads from independent ladies.

For Eros to put a "Eros verified" tag in an ad for the pics all that has to be done is the group or person that called in the add sends them a picture of a lady with a current news paper. The lady in the pic with the news paper does not even have to look like the pics to be put up.

For those of you who do not know how to read the Eros page ID's
The first part of the Direct URL for the page will be the city Code (LA for Los Angeles, HS for Houston, DA for Dallas, NY for New York and so on); the second part will be the ladies name if it is an indy add or a code given to an agency or company. You can see the Direct URL for the ladies page in the ID bar (if you are using IE 5 and up)at the bottom left when you run your mouse over her thumbnail.

I have included a link to one of the ads that belongs to a known "snatch and run" operator in the Houston area.

EROS D.C. has an incredible variety of providers who are all independent and while I have not been with enough of them to generalize I can tell you that I know for a fact that quite a few are not snatch and run operators.  I would like to know just how many verifiable rip offs you knew of before condemning the entire EROS group..

He is talking about a specific advertiser on Eros.  We have similar problems in Atlanta with ads posted by Leeza.  So fyi if you're in Atlanta don't see anyone with a leeza eros ad.  Note the link I've included.  leeza7 is the advertiser's id in the link.  Their can be several ads with this identifier included.  If you mouse over the thumbnail for the ad in the left frame on Eros, you will see the actual link to the ad in your status bar at the bottom of the window (where it says done).  Sucks don't it?  The girl in the ad is H-O-T HOT.  Check out her review though.  http://theeroticreview.com/reviews/show.asp?id=24560

There are a number of reputable local and touring agencies advertising in Eros, CV and Exotics.  However, there are also many B&S, RO agencies whose ads claim that the lady in the ad is an independent.

Eros is known in Phx as a ripoff. Some legit but 80 percent are not.  I even complained to Eros about an AD which was bait and switch ran by an agency.  Eros never responded about their verified photo.  So as far as I am concerned they are the problem

but you can bet that as long as they have a steady and lucrative advertising revenue coming in from these girls they could care less about us

it's interesting to note the variable rates they charge. in Boston the base rate for a basic fullpage ad is only $65/month. whereas in LA and Atlanta it's $100/month. and in NYC it's $175/month, naturally

all this invariably plays into how/why ROBs and B&Ss will pick and choose and target their prey from city to city
